The seaweed used for my roll was not crisp meaning it was either not toasted or stored properly before service to account for the humidity. The bed of rice in my Chirashi was lightly seasoned with furikake seaweed but that hardly made a difference. It was still under seasoned. The sliced fish in my chirashi was fresh, but there wasn't any difference in taste from piece to piece. No amount of soy sauce or wasabi was going to enhance my chirashi. My experience certainly did not lay claim to a "best ever" designation and I've had my share of great sushi.

While we were promptly given menus, we had to flag down the waitress to give our orders. We ordered a number of appetizers to share which were very good and served within a reasonable time. Unfortunately, we did not have any plates and it took 5 minutes to again flag down a waitress to get some. We were then presented with 2 plates that looked like they came from a NJ diner, heavy, cheap, generic ceramic. Our nigiri arrived and saved the day. The restaurant has a wider selection than many places in the area including "reasonably priced" o-toro. The fish was fresh, firm and very good. One thing that was lacking was any artistic presentation of the fish. It was nigiri, wasabi, and ginger. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but the overall restaurant experience was lacking.
