Sweet and sour chicken
Bruce M.

A place a recently found and consistently great Chinese food at reasonable prices. Friendly service quality ingredients and sauces

Fried chicken wings and pork fried rice.
D W.

The reviews scared me but I noticed someone at the neighboring nail shop in which I was in (shout out to Nikki my amazing nail tech) was brought food. The customer service stood out to me. I ordered anyway. I ordered sesame chicken and fried chicken wings which both came with pork fried rice, which had grilled onions which was a plus for me. The lunch special comes with a choice of an egg roll, soup or soda. One of my orders. I got a soda and the other order. I got an eggroll. The food was fresh, tasty and hot. The order took under 10 minutes. The only negative was the small portion of food. I did order a lunch special, but this typical type of restaurant usually gives a generous portion of rice.

Good egg drop soup

We've been looking for good Chinese take out since moving into the area over a year ago. Orient Chef is the best takeout yet. After a couple of orders I must say their soups are excellent and standout above the others. The egg foo young was tasty with a good sauce. The house fried noodles could have used a couple more shrimps but there was plenty of beef, pork and chicken. All the sauces tasted different here, in some of the other place all the sauces tasted the same on every dish, not here. Their fried rice was well cooked and tasty. Their egg rolls were typical and nothing special. They even left out the carrots at our request, they don't belong in Chinese cooking. Our opinion, we could be wrong. Need to try them again, so far so good!

General Tsos Chicken Combo with Fried Rice and Wonton Soup
Brittany T.

Very good! We were a little nervous about trying it just due to the lack of reviews, but super solid chinese takeout. We got the general tso's chicken, orange chicken, and the bourbon chicken combos, which all came with fried rice, egg rolls, and wonton soup. Very good portions for the price, we all had leftovers. The general tso's had a great spicy kick and you could tell the orange chicken was made with real orange peels. The wonton soup and egg rolls were solid and the pork fried rice was delicious and flavorful. The bourbon chicken was probably our least favorite but still good, just a little sweet for our taste. Overall solid, would come back.

I have never come across a place like this ! Not only great variety of combination food options, but fresh sushi at low prices !! You should not skip out on the opportunity to try their food, fresh and hot in 15 minutes.

They are fast and food is fresh. Crab rangoons were overcooked- I've had better. Rolls were tasty and service is good.

It smelled so, so good. I had called and the guy said they were not busy. We walk in and the lady asked if we had a reservation. Wish he would have mentioned that but anyway, we were sat right away. Our server took quite a while to come over. When she did, she was very nice. We started with Kirin beers that were ice cold. He ordered some fancy eel roll. I had a piece but I am not a fan of eel. It did seem well put together. My JB roll was the best one I ever had. Truly delicious and fresh. We also ordered Mongolian beef. This was really delicious and not overly salted. I was surprised the portion wasn't bigger for a $25 price. Still, very tasty. The side dish of brown rice came about 10 minutes after the dish arrived. This was a bit annoying. We ordered the fried rice with chicken and shrimp later on. When it arrived, I thought it didn't look great. That all changed when I tasted it. The flavors here for the hot food items are very authentic. This dish doesn't seem to photograph well either but let me tell you, it is awesome! There are big tasty shrimps in there, maybe 6 of them. They don't even really show up here. The chicken is also fantastic. This is an excellent restaurant I want to go back to soon.

A lot of regulars around me based on conversations with servers which is a great sign. Ordered some pork buns, a few rolls and the Rock shrimp. It was all delicious and sushi is something I will always crave but do yourself a favor and start off with the Rock shrimp. Packet with flavor, creamy crispy slightly spicy shrimp was a star dish for me. We almost ordered another plate of it. All in all this place is worth every cent. I cannot wait to be back!

On a Sunday evening, we didn't have an issue getting seated. The restaurant is spacious and has a nice ambience. To start, we ordered the crazy jalapeño appetizer, which is tempura fried stuffed with krab and cream cheese. Very delicious and filling at $9. We both agreed that we would order this one again. Next up was 2 blue crab masago hand rolls with 4 pieces of seared scallop nigiri. Honestly, the hand rolls without any texture (cucumber, tempura flakes, etc) was a little flat for me. The crab tasted a little fishy too. Out of all the items we tried this was our least favorite. You can't go wrong with seared scallops, these were perfect in flavor and texture. Our last appetizer was the tempura vegetables. Everything was cooked well and very fresh tasting with the tempura fry. The stars were definitely the rolls. The yaketa roll had seared fish on top, with very fresh and fatty tuna inside. We could have ordered 2 of these. Our server was attentive and friendly. We can't wait to come back as regulars!

I ordered the Galbi short rib, which was SO good I also tried the egg rolls -- the flavor was definitely there, but they were a little greasy from the oil. My favorite part honestly was the house salad with the ginger dressing because I absolutely love ginger, and the dressing was so flavorful Overall, it made for such a nice lunch spot, and I'll definitely be back for another midday break

For the prices Phat Boy Sushi charges, I find it disappointing that they're still using cheap Styrofoam takeout containers. This isn't McDonald's or a fast-food restaurant. When you're paying premium prices for food, you expect the packaging to reflect that quality. Putting expensive meals into flimsy, outdated Styrofoam containers really cheapens the entire experience. There are so many better, sturdier, and more environmentally friendly alternatives available. At this price point, upgrading their takeout packaging should be a given.

The Honeymoon Roll was honestly one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. The service was prompt, friendly, and very attentive throughout our meal. The atmosphere was cute and lively. While I think it's better suited for a casual lunch or a fun dinner than a, romantic date night, it's a great place to bring family. I'd definitely avoid the tempura as it didn't have the right coating and really didn't work with the broccoli. The best item was definitely the steak in my opinion. The seasoning was delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The short ribs weren't bad either. The coconut shrimp was tasty as well, but I've definitely had better. The sushi rolls was alright and there was a wide selection, but some of the sashimi didn't taste the freshest. They had a decent amount of salads around the corner, but I didn't take part in any. Another great thing was the dessert bar. I really love almond cookies, so I was elated to see them there. Their orange slices were perfectly sweet. Some of their cakes weren't had either. I also love when buffets have a good selection of ice creams, so it was nice to see they had several flavors. I got pistachio, which was just okay in flavor, but nice that there were bits of pistachio in it. I also got green tea which was a little disappointing, but there was a tinge of tea flavor. I think I got a chocolate one as well, which was tasty. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and came by frequently to top off our drinks.
