The people were not very nice, and they all seemed very unhappy. Worse yet, by chance I met Mr. Brown at a UPS store a few weeks later. I wanted to tell him about my experience. But when I approached him he treated me like a fly in his face. He was a total jerk. I'm going to give Mr. Brown the benefit of the doubt and say he was just having a bad day that day... this is THE worse place i have EVER done business. Sold me a lemon of a car. check engine light was reset by them and item not fixed. Told us we could have 3 free oil changes and they just called me and said they will not honor their promise. How do these guys stay in business!!!!!! Very distrustful. Service Department quoted me 3000.00 to repair my '99 4Runner that was misfiring. Told me the plugs were mis-threaded and they needed to rebuild the head or the truck would be un drivable. Took it to another local mechanic and they were able to fix it for less than 200. and said that what they quoted was a complete farce. What a dishonest place. read more

I'm a bit surprised at the past reviews. I've never had a problem here. We purchased our new car here and have had it serviced regularly. They were always professional and seemed to care. The guys in the service area even had no problem when I had to cancel and have a window replaced somewhere else because of insurance company policy. They just said "no problem" and wished me the best. If I had suggestions for Brent Brown Toyota I would say: Make the coffee in the waiting area easy to obtain without asking someone. Have popcorn for the kids within easy reach like Honda Give people a pager or text their cell when done. Many times I've missed hearing my car was done, although they will call your cell if you ask. Really, I hate to be sold, but you could do so much better if your sales people actually kept in touch with past customers. Make them all read Joe Girard's book. read more

Bought their 3 oil change package. Go to use my first one and tried dropping my car off at 930 am on a Saturday. They then tell me they can't guarantee that over the next 7 hours they are open that they could even service my vehicle. I love how they highlight this new quick live building they built but yet still can't service their customers vehicles after taking their money. I will most likely be charging back my purchase since of course they don't want to help out their customers and refund for a service they can't provide. read more

I just don't feel they try very hard to earn the business and support the customers after the sales. Everytime we called we were transferred and no one really want to try to help us but quickly cold transfer. We had to go to the dealership 3 times to get the cross bars install but could not get that done because of the part was not ordered, it was the wrong part or they didn't have my information. I want to give kudos to assistant service manager Morgan A who tried everything in his power to assist us. At the same time, I wish his manager Lisa J would try harder to assist us instead just keep saying there is nothing that she could do. Horrible customer service. We've had several bad experiences and now are so done with them. Fall of 2021, I ordered a 2022 Sienna and was extremely specific about needing an 8 passenger XLE. I put money down and was going to pay in full when it came in. I made an appt at 6pm and wasn't seen until 8:15pm. They ordered the wrong van for me- I got the whole "stupid girl" treatment from their sales people because it wasn't what I wanted. We ordered a new van that evening and had to wait the Covid-back up time period a second time. Earlier this year, I got a text that my 2022 Sienna was due for an oil change. I made an appointment and when I got there, they were confused why I was there when the Siennas don't need an oil change until 10,000 miles. So they did a tire rotation since I was there. This week, I made an appointment to have keys made for a Camry that we're giving to our son. I called and got it scheduled and ordered the appropriate keys from the parts department. When I came in for my scheduled appointment, no one could find my appointment. (The guy said this happens all the time.....) They were pretty clear about being swamped, so I felt like an inconvenience, especially as I was planning to wait for the keys to be cut. 2 hours later....I was informed that the keys were NOT ordered and that the key machine was broken. I understand that equipment breaks, but it's pretty frustrating to have spent 30 mintues traveling to their dealership, 2 hours waiting, then 30 minutes coming home with no keys made. I need to wait for their call and then come in again. The guy offered me a discount on my keys, but who knows if that'll be honored when you can't trust what they say? We did not purchase our van here - BUT, I had to take it in last week for a recall repair. I was really pleasantly surprised how professional, friendly and helpful they were through the whole process. I called and scheduled a time to bring it in with no problems, and they were able to get it done within a few days, so I didn't have to wait forever. John Goodman in the service department was SO great. As I dropped the van off to him, he noticed in the computer that there was actually a second recall repair that hadn't ever been done on our van (we bought it used). They took care of both things within a few hours - AND to top it off, I got a call from their glass specialist, who fixed a rock chip in my windshield while they worked on it - free of charge! One less thing I had to get done later. I was very pleased with every person I dealt with. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I bought a car from BBT 10 years ago, and had Clear Bra put on the front and doors. The clear bra began to yellow and looked awful. I called BBT and asked if they'd remove it, and they explained that even though the company that put it on 10 years ago had gone out of business, that they would stand behind it, and remove it at no charge. They did it, buffed and detailed the car an it looks like new. They didn't need to - in fact I didn't expect them to. But I figured, if ya don't ask.... In an era where airlines treat me like a burden, where the too big to fails nickle and dime me to death while cutting service, and corporate america acts as though we, their customers are their enemy, I was dumbfounded to find one - esPECIALLY a car dealer, that would stand behind their deal and do the right thing - above and beyond the call of duty or expectation. read more

Went here to get my brand new 2020 Toyota 4Runner serviced (complimentary oil change), only to find out that they stripped two bolts. The people in charge at the service department are careless and have people working there that are inexperienced. I am so upset and disappointed. We drove all the way down here from SLC because of an ad on KSL. We worked with Ryan S. We loved the car but it turned out the online price was entered incorrectly - to a significant amount. We honestly thought there was no way they'd honor the price and own their mistake, but they did. We were ready to walk out and lament how all car dealers are crooks, but we were pleasantly surprised. They gained customers for life today. We could not be more impressed with the way they handled things and treated us. I purchased a Sienna from Brent Brown. I was moving to Utah from out of state and needed a van when I flew in. They were able to find the van I was looking for(color and options) without any problems. I was able to do all the paper work before I arrived which allowed me to just pick the car up. They made what could have been a complicated process very easy and I would recommend them. They didn't have the exact Tundra we wanted so these guys had no problem ordering exactly what my husband wanted. We waited about 6 weeks for it to be built and delivered, which was totally fine. Todd was great about kept us informed on the status of the truck as it was being built. We worked out the price before it was ordered so we knew exactly what to expect to pay. The price was no more than if we picked a truck already sitting on the lot. The day my husband picked it up he was a little nervous. He dreads buying new vehicles, having to play the whole car sales game and wasting an entire day sitting in a sales office. Not here! Todd sat him in his office, he had everything ready to go. We took our new Sequoia for a 10K mile inspection and oil change to this dealership. Also, we were concerned that the rear wheels were out of alignment because the tires were sagging. The dealer advised that our Toyota warranty had just expired last month. 12 months 12K miles for alignment. The vehicle has 9k miles. They did a complimentary alignment (only to be expected after you spend the money to buy this vehicle). However, once we got the vehicle; it pulled to the right. The car has never pulled and it always drove straight. This is the part that really earns a 1 or less star rating. The service writer very casually said to me that Toyota makes cars specifically designed to pull so it counters the inclines on the roads. REALLY. Calling Toyota customer engagement did not help much since the dealer did not want to do anything unless we pay for them to correct what they messed up. Very sure they will not be earning my future business anymore. read more

Overall, a pretty poor experience with Brent Brown. We bought a used SUV from Drew at what we thought was a good price. I was going to take it to my mechanic to have it looked at but because Drew told me their shop had gone over it I decided I didn't need to. Big mistake! I ended up having to do over $2,000 of work to it immediately. My mechanic noticed there was no fluid in the differential so he put a magnet in it and it came out looking like a chia pet (his words exactly). It would have been very easy for Brent Brown to check the fluid and find that there was nothing in it which would have led them to dig deeper. Brent Brown was either dishonest or incompetent and I don't know which is worse. Lesson learned, always have your mechanic look over a used car, especially when buying from this dealership. read more

DO NOT take your car here to get serviced. They will try to take advantage of anyone who doesn't have enough knowledge of cars to dodge their scam. We needed 2 sensors replaced. They quoted us 250% the cost of buying the sensors ourselves, in addition to claiming that if they were to fix these sensors, accessing the area they are in within the car would break MORE sensors and that WE would be liable for THEM breaking it. SOMEHOW calculating a bill of ~$2500. They also claimed it would take upwards of 8 hours to complete and we would have to bring our car in at the crack of dawn, leave it there all day, and rent one of their cars, even then advising that it could take two days. I watched a friend change both sensors in less than 30 minutes! I half expect that they were trying to scare us into purchasing a new car because I made a /joke/ that a new car would be nice. And the cherry on top? They took 5 hours to "diagnose" this tiny, common problem, and charged us ~$130 even though we ALREADY had the diagnostic codes and paperwork to prove it. What a scam they are running, trying to milk every damn penny out of their customers, especially broke college students. They could have made a customer for life if they hadn't been so dishonest, but now I will try to make sure everyone I know is informed on the shady business practices of Brent Brown Toyota. Unfortunately we weren't able to find a car and price in our range, but they were very helpful nonetheless and seemed to genuinely want to help. I've been buying and maintaining my cars at Brent Brown since 2013. Yesterday, I take my car in for it's routine maintenance when I am hit with over $1,100 worth of routine maintenance. None of which was performed during my cars 5-year warranty even though the service rep mentioned it should have been. The service rep also could not explain why the total was so high for all the service being conducted even though the previous maintenance was completed at a significantly less price. I decided to investigate this a little more and took my car to two separate shops to have this maintenance performed to be fair to the process. Come to find out, half of the maintenance was not even necessary. This was strictly a way to make me pay for nothing. It only takes one person like this to ruin the reputation of a business. What's even more disappointing is that this guy does this to fellow veterans. I will not be returning to this service department! read more

Very disappointed. I was grateful for the time that the car salesperson spent with us until he said one thing to us. My relationship is more important then getting a more expensive car and the fact that my boyfriend was not feeling great about the price made me want to look at smaller cars. The salesman said to me "no offense, but relationships have nothing to do with it." Not okay. They got mad at us for shaking their hands as if we agreed to everything when they are the ones shoving their hands in front of us. We were just agreeing to maybe looking at a smaller payment plan. The amount of people that came out to try to sale us this care was ridiculous. The manager came out at the end and was giving us a lecture and was very angry with us. I did my best to be as polite as possible especially because they did spend a lot of time with us. In the end I should have just walked out the door instead of being polite. Just a bunch of bros sitting around screwing people over. I went in and had to wait 45 minutes standing around for a manager to appraise my car. I watched him up in their stupid class cubicle as he laughed with his bros. I would have liked to at least sit while I waited but all the sales bros were lounging in the waiting chairs. And when I say lounging, they had legs kicked up, thrown over the arm rests just laughing about whatever. If you've never seen what an adult bro looks like, just come here. They just wait outside for someone to walk up and they all swarm you. But if you aren't there to benefit them, they won't even smile or offer to help. When the appraisal manager finally showed up he didn't even acknowledge me. He walked right past me outside to my truck and started going through it. Totally unfriendly unless you're gonna buy. This deal started off real sweet with a great price on a new Toyota and some extra effort to get just the right one (colors and accessories). But WAITING THREE HOURS to just pay for a car after you've called ahead, made a sizable down payment days before, and after you've already negotiated price IS JUST RUDE. None of the paperwork was done when we got there and the representatives kept passing us off to others. This is typical of many dealers. They have zero respect for your time. Biggest scam dealership ever. 0 customer service, 0 responsibility for selling scam 3rd party insurances. They don't care about what services they are selling as long as they collect your money. I called back to ask about an insurance I have purchased in 2010, which promised a full refund if you don't use it. The company went out of business in 2011, never received a phone call from the dealership or Toyota financial services to let me know but they kept collecting the money each month. When I called the dealership I received one big IF the state of UT wants to sue the owner of the bankrupt company. Confirmed change with reception and when I arrived for my appointment they simply told me that the receptionist didn't change it. So they couldn't perform the service. My wife and I went to Brent Brown Toyota to buy a van we found on KSL. When we arrived Dallas showed us the van. Dallas was personable and fun to work with. We told him our last van broke down and that we had been saving for a used van. He never tried to push us to buy a vehicle we really couldn't afford or didn't want. To be honest were sold before we stepped onto the lot. We were sold an outstanding Toyota Sienna. Just what we had been looking for. We found the perfect vehicle.
