I have an open case both Brent Brown Toyota and North America Toyota And I am pushing it to the max because i brought my truck in to them for a regular maintenance and upon pick up during a heavy rainy day, my moon roof and back window was left open outside in the rain causing water damaged to my sound system and electrical components like the lighting. I first addressed it over text communication but was ignored. Then I proceeded to file directly with Toyota Manufacturer but they pretty much told me they are not part of it and to go back and deal with the dealership. Went back to Brent Brown with a scheduled diagnostic service on April 8, 2026. Follow this diagnostic service I was told that they did a full diagnostic and found no water damaged issues yet, they confirmed that there was some water signs. I bought this TRD PRO from Orem Toyota back in 2021 along with a 5 years maintenance package And now they pretty much said, heres your truck we are not responsible for the damages. If you're planning to purchase from this company, I would advise that you go find another dealership or company. Scheduled an 8am 15k service on my Sienna for a Saturday morning, showed up at 7:50, got in at 8:00, told the service writer I specifically wanted my tire pressure at 40psi. He did his job of noting it on the work order but it wasn't done by the technician. He could have done a better job of holding them accountable making sure it was done, which is wasn't. On top of that when I was done at 8:40, he had a sloppily hand-written mileage tag for my windshield and told me their sticker maker ran out of ink. IDGAF, they should never allow it run out of ink and not have a backup for the machine. Pic below is what my dash said after. I was the one continually starting the conversations about the next steps to purchase and I had to ask at least twice when trying to get answers or documents sent. Then the cherry on top was that they said that they were going to gas my car up for me so I would have a full tank on delivery and it was below the 3/4 line. The manager insisted it was caused by a rock, but my car was brought in without any damage. When my father pointed this out, the manager became confrontational, got in his face, and even struck my car before leaving. My parents test drove a car here a little over a month ago. While test driving the car, through no fault of their own, the car got a rock chip. The dealership took their insurance information and told my parents they would figure out if my parents would need to pay for it/ have their insurance pay for it. After a few weeks my parents found out that the dealership contacted their insurance company themselves and submitted a claim saying they had talked to "the wife". They had not talked to either of my parents before the claim was made. This dealership used to be fantastic but has gone downhill. They are dishonest and untrustworthy. read more

I took my car to the dealership on May 22 to see why my car would not start remotely, so I did the 5k inspection. They did not fix the remote start. They said they would have to think about how to fix it in their exact words. They scheduled me another appointment for May 24, 2024, to get the remote start fix appointment at 10:30 am. They also put the cross bars on my car, the clear plastic protection on my bumper, and all my door sills. I was there from 10:30 until 6:00 pm. I went to my car at 6:00 pm, and they did nothing to fix the remote start. The service guy said you didn't tell us about that. I told him you were standing by my car when I installed your Toyota app on my extra tablet which took 20 minutes so you could see why my car was not remote starting. All of a sudden, he remembers. I asked if I could come on Saturday, and he said no, and I would have to go on Tuesday. This is the second time I have come to the dealership, and this issue has not been fixed, so now I have to waste another day. Most places I go to give five-star reviews, but honestly, I have to come to this dealership multiple times to fix. Also, I paid for the clear coat of plastic on the bumper. It is 1 1/2 wide. The plastic I asked to go on the door sills so the paint wouldn't get scratched. They put Prius scratch plates at the bottom of the sill. I told them I paid for the clear plastic to be more protected than that and the sills to have a clear plastic coat only. Everything I do on this car for any modifications, I have to come back. It seems like three times for them to do their job right, or they just never do it right in the first place. I am severely disappointed in this company. None of the issues below have been fixed on my car. They refused to take any accountability over my headliner they ruined. See my pictures for the door sills was only to be clear plastic not adding something that says Prius that will scratch really quickly since it is aluminum. You will see in the image where I have my finger pointing at the bumper spot; that is all they did. I told him that I wanted to go down the bumper so it would protect for loading and unloading or shopping carts hitting. This does nothing. I could've done this for $15 from eBay and not paid over $200 for each spot. It's ridiculous; my service technician was Chris on this. I spent 8 hours at the dealership for this poor service. Brown Toyota was supposed to fix my headliner because there was an orange mark on the driver's side, and they scrubbed it off, ruining my new headliner for my 2023 Prius. Unfortunately had a very negative experience, they sold the car out from underneath me, after saying I couldn't buy it. Friday Dec 27th my wife and I went in and settled on a Rav4 XLE hybrid lunar rock color. With all the specifications it's a harder car to find. At the end of looking at it, the salesman informed us it had to get a quick part change so it wouldn't be available to purchase that night but we planned to reconnect the next day (Saturday). I called the salesman on Saturday, and he said the part was on back order for 5 weeks (that's fine). I asked a lot of questions if I would be able to put a hold on the car or if I could purchase it and then they do the work and he said no, we'd have to wait till it was fixed but that he would check some things on Monday (dec 30) On Monday I texted and there wasn't any updates. Tuesday (Dec 31) I texted and there wasn't anything that could be done so we would have to wait. Sat Jan 4th the salesman checked in on us and I asked if there was an ETA on the part, he didn't respond. Thursday (Jan 9) I asked again and he said there wasn't an expected date. Tuesday Jan 14th I texted and said "I just want to make sure that it won't/can't get sold to someone else. Is that a possibility?" He responded with "can't be sold, I promise you that." Thursday Jan 16, I checked the carfax and it looked like someone purchased the car in 2025, I thought it looked weird so I reached out to the dealership and they said "oh someone bought that car last night". How in the world is that possible?? I followed up for 3 weeks multiple times per week, trying to get the car and make sure it wasn't going to get sold. The amount of follow through I gave is ridiculous. How was I not contacted? Why was it not noted? Why wouldn't they let me put a deposit down or purchase the car? I literally spoke to them the day before and they promised it couldn't be sold and then the next day they sold it. I'm a salesman myself and operate a business, this was horrible. 0/10 experience, by far the most aggravating and frustrating thing that has happened to me. It makes me want to buy a car anywhere but here, and tell everyone the same. That isn't a basic car that everyone carries, and I wont be able to find another one that checked all the boxes. read more

We keep having new problems each time we have to take our van in to fix the prior problem. We first took our car in to diagnose and fix a check engine and VSC light. We finally got that fixed about $2,700 later. However, the same exact night we got our car back from Orem Toyota, our horn stopped working (how does that even happen?). It was working perfectly fine before taking it in. I did notice the rubber sheath covering the wires as well as the plastic tubing the sheath hides inside were both cut in the same spot (without cutting the actual wires). I don't know if they set something on top of it when they were fixing our first issue which caused the cuts or if they otherwise did something to cause the horn to stop working. We took it back and paid over $200 to get the horn back into the condition it was in before we took it to them. Then, once we got it back from the horn replacement, we noticed our factory-installed CD and DVD players both stopped working the very next time we drove it. They had both been working perfectly fine before taking it in. Our kids use them all the time. This is way too coincidental to have new things keep going wrong each time we bring the car in. I don't know if this is their way of creating their own business and demand to keep us coming back to pay for more repairs. They did give us "good deals" and even waived labor fees, but it still cost us a lot of money that we shouldn't have had to pay at all. Our CD and DVD players still aren't working, but I don't know if I want to take it into them. Who knows what else will stop working when I get it back again. read more

Got a complicated explanation about why I was charged $160 labor to swap out the 12v battery in a 2005 Prius. Not the hybrid drive mind you, the one that starts the car. Said he had a complex process where he has to keep the car turned on and hooked up to his computer the whole time or else it would fry the board. Whatever. I called Pedersen Toyota here in Fort Collins and they said, no, they don't do anything like that, and the 12v for a Prius is a simple battery change, with $20 to $40 for labor ($40 if it's complicated). Ill make this short and sweet. Cadon is not a great salesman. The used car manager just does not care about customers or wants to fix the car after its purchaced. I asked Cadon for a few things at his cost like touch up paint. The car was heavly scratched. They had to fix the bumper and when I got the car the color didnt match well. The sales manager told me sorry thats just how it is. I asked Cadon if there was someone else I could talk to. He said Nope! He was it. Problem here is he is not good at his job and not a manager. I never got to test drive the car or look it over good when I bout it. It was in the bay getting worked on at the time of me buying it. My last review on Yelp got some attention and I was told to talk to Karyn in customer service. I did just that. Funny she took over and fixed all my issues and went out of her way to get this fixed and right. Why couldnt Cadon and the Used Car Manager do this? Fail on thier part. Karyn saved the day and deserves credit for doing a great job taking care of an upset customer! Fixed the paint matching, fixed the cracks in the windshield, and went out of her way to fix some other stuff the used car manager missed. She gave me touch up paint and a TRD Hat and T-shirt! Will I be back, NO. The Salesman and Sales Managers showed me all they care about is getting them in and out and forget about any other issues that person has.I buy a car ever few years. On February 2nd, 2023 I received notice that the truck had been built and was slated for delivery between February 18th and March 8th. On February 3rd I went in to review and sign the paperwork. I don't know how the other salesmen work, but if you get Brock, good luck. I was in the market for a 2022 Toyota Rav4 XLE Premium, Brock told me they had one coming in, but that they would charge $4,000 more than the MSRP price because of market adjustments. I told him I wouldn't do that, and then he called back and said they would only charge $1,000 more. (First red flag) and he asked me to put a $500 deposit on the vehicle. I asked him many times to ensure me that it was fully refundable should I choose to go another route. He said "100% yes, as long as we have not signed any paperwork, we can refund it for the full amount." So, I agreed and paid the $500 deposit. We planned to come in on Tuesday, 4/5, and I told him I needed to come in Thursday 4/7, because my work wouldn't let me off early enough. Obviously when you're in the market for a new vehicle, you have tons of dealerships reaching out to you. And in this case, one reached out to me for the same vehicle for not $1 over the MSRP price, and in the color I actually wanted. (When you're spending $30K on a car, color matters.) So, I messaged Brock, and advised him I was sorry but I would be going another route. He then called me and asked why. I told him my situation and I ALSO APOLOGIZED. He then said "Well I'll talk to my finance team and see wether we'll be able to get your deposit back.". I said "Um no, you clearly stated that as long as we hadn't signed any paperwork, the deposit was refundable". He then said "Well I could've sold this car 2 days ago, we held it for you.". First of all, the market is crazy right now. Just to get a brand new car, you have to wait MONTHS because everyone is trying to buy a car, so I assured him he'd be able to sell the car, but he needs to refund me. I did not raise my tone once, or talk condescendingly. I hope they record the calls, cause I'd love to prove that I was nice. He THEN hangs up on me. I have never written a review. Not once in my life. But this was mind blowing and extremely unprofessional. He then texted me that he'd refund me but that he wouldn't do business with me again, and when I told him I don't plan to and told him he was disrespectful he laughed in my face. Estéban looked it over, isolated that all we needed was new undercarriage plastic clips (fell out in rough roads of National Parks) and that we'd make it I'm home just fine with a little duct tape until our home dealer could get in the proper clips for us. I already emphasized on this dealership's TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE in the prior review, but every time I deal with this dealership it is the most INCONVENIENT mess. Like I mentioned before, I bought my first car from this dealership and along with the car I bought an oil change package as well. I was told that I am able to go to the Audi dealership in SLC to get my oil changes done and I do not have to drive all the way to Orem. The time for an oil change finally came up and I've been trying to schedule my oil change with Audi. Last time I came down to the dealership, I had my car detailed and oil change done because I had bought the car before they were able to get those done, as a new pre-owned car should have done. I asked them for paperwork of my complimentary oil change & cleaning and about getting my oil changes done by Audi SLC instead. The front desk told me the work is in the system, so I do not need a paper of the work done and to just tell Audi my VIN and they should be able to pull up my oil change package and service history. I wanted to get all of this out of the way because the amount of hassle it was trying to even come in for the procedurally done oil change and cleaning before a car is bought was the LONGEST, MOST INCONVENIENT PROCESS ever. No one answered my calls for weeks. I LEFT VOICEMAIL AFTER VOICEMAIL because I kept getting transferred to people who just never seem to answer their phone. I was on my last straw and they finally got it done, so I wanted to get all of this information clarified so that I did not have to deal with this dealership again. Fast forward to today and I'm doing this all over again trying to get my information to transfer over to Audi. I have called back and forth between Audi SLC and Brent Brown Toyota to have an oil change done under the package I've bought under the Total Care Auto Package with my car at Brent Brown Toyota. Audi SLC has been pretty on top of it and easy to deal with, but they couldn't pull up my package like Brent Brown Toyota had told me; I needed more than my VIN and so I've been trying to get my information from Brent Brown Toyota all day today. I've been transferred so many times, sometimes with no answer. They told me they'll leave an email with my name and number for the person to get back to me, yet hours later no call. I've left a voice mail once more for a different person, apparently someone in the finance department because no one else can answer my question again. read more

My experience is specifically for the parts department. I called ahead since we live 35 minutes away to see what was needed to get a custom key cut for our toyota. The employee at the parts, a gentleman, told me we just needed the car VIN number and id. However, once we got there we were told a different story. AVOID BRENT BROWN TOYOTA! We had a terrible experience with Brent Brown Toyota in Orem. When we took our truck in for a recall, they removed the rear lift from our vehicle without consent or explanation. We felt cheated and ripped off by the dealership. After weeks of speaking to various individuals and getting ignored and the runaround, we spoke with Adam, the Service Manager, who acknowledged that a mistake may have been made but we would need to produce the original lift receipt from over 15 years ago! Seriously?! The IRS doesn't even go that far back! Needless to say, that conversation didn't end well. We then met with the GM, Wade Henrie, and one of his mechanics to discuss the issue. We provided proof that the truck had a box lift in 2009 by Les Schwab (who has amazing customer service and located the very old invoice) We all agreed that there was a lift on the front and not on the back and that the truck did not sit level. However, the GM implied that we were lying and trying to con him. He did not offer any real solution or apology! We never asked for money, just acknowledgment of the error and an apology would have gone a long way to solve this issue. It's hard to imagine how hard it would be to get them to be financially responsible. Even when they claim they want your satisfaction, the forked tongue of the GM proved otherwise. Apparently, their motto is the customer is never right. We are extremely disgusted and frustrated with the lack of communication and responsibility from Brent Brown Toyota. I reached out to Todd 5/21 I told him exactly what vehicle a new rav4 hybrid xse that I wanted and the colors I wanted blue or dark grey.. they didn't have one but he said he'd find one 5/31 he said it would be here in one to two weeks and he had reserved it for me and was gonna send me the paperwork... I followed up 3 x when I had never received paperwork and he always said he was gonna call and send it to me 'tomorrow' tomorrow has never come and I haven't heard from him since I stopped reaching out. My fiancé and I had been thinking about trading in our car and getting something better, but only if it worked for us. We didn't want a bigger payment. We happened to be driving by and decided to stop and just look at their inventory. Silly us, that's not possible right now. Cole came out and talked to us. Showed us what he did have in stock. He asked us what we wanted and listened. Looked at what was coming in that we were looking for. We not once felt like he was pushing us to buy anything.
