She gives really great care advice that makes sense and makes me feel confident that I am not going to kill these beautiful animals. I can tell you now that I have some of the happiest Apistogramma Cacatuoides and Kribensis (Nigeria Red) living in full community tanks. I can also tell you that I paid 1/3 the price for each of those fish that I would have paid if I went anywhere else. One more plus is supporting a locally owned and owner operated business. Excellent Customer Service in Fish Dept…read more I felt the need to recognize one employee, Alec, who helped us with setting up our first fish tank last weekend. We took our toddler to enjoy looking at the fish at Cabela's for months and decided it was time to get some pet fish ourselves. We told Alec we're beginners and wanted a very basic setup with low maintenance. He pointed us in the direction of owning male guppies, perfect for smaller tanks (5 gallon). Apparently, guppies multiply pretty fast, so we wanted to go with the colorful males and stick with our small tank. Alec is very patient, knowledgeable, and thorough in answering all of our questions. He covered a lot of helpful information and suggested great products to get us started with. He explained everything from common things to expect upon setting up the tank on the first day to routine weekly and monthly care, feeding, and how to add more fish safely in the future. We picked out some decor and went with a tropical theme. They were having a buy one get one 50% off in one section. It's awesome to find people that are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their hobbies and job. We're thankful we spoke to him because there's so much more to caring for fish than just sticking them in a bowl with tap water! Our daughter stares at the fish every day and loves the tank setup. Instead I took my dog to evolution pet in Lake Oswego. There they welcome dogs with fleas as it is a grooming facility and sell flea shampoo too. Dogs are not there to party they are there to get cleaned. My dog does not like other dogs but did great as she was more interested in the wash. I highly recommend Evolution Pet.

What I especially like is their community service. During the holidays, the store had a giving tree to support the Newberg animal shelter. I selected a dog that I bought food and when I checked yesterday, the store manager said that they collected an ample amount of food and accessories for the animals in need-- I was so glad they do this.
