Oregon Medical Group has consistently gotten worse over the last 20 years. If this is what health care in America looks like moving forward we would all be wise seek care from a South American shaman. No offense to South American shaman. The only good thing I can say about Oregon Medical Group is they are at least friendly, that is to say if you can get in to see them. Epic failures to communicate with patient. Patient outreach and support is deplorable. OMG is selectively arrogant in who it agrees to treat, to the point of discrimination against the elderly. Apparently we're not profitable enough. Doctors' care is OK, but what good is it if OMG won't take your insurance? I have great insurance (Medicare Advantage Parts A, B, C and D), yet Oregon Medical Group decided in June 2024 to no longer do business with my insurance carrier...effectively gutting my healthcare. The individual doctors are not bad, but it says something when you learn that they're all jumping ship to other healthcare providers. OMG is the sad result of what happens when a medical group is run by insurance companies like its owner, the giant UnitedHealth Group, and focuses on maximizing shareholder value instead of providing quality medical care. Made an appointment last August 2023 for a wellness appointment scheduled for today, Feb 12, 2024. Went into the office today and the staff informed me that my appointments were cancelled?!?!! (I also had an appointment for the 22nd of Feb to check on an ongoing issue with my hip) Argh! They said they called me and left a message on Thursday to say it was cancelled. I did NOT receive a message or phone call! In fact I had called them on Thursday to check if I needed a blood test before my appointment and no one called me back. Misinformation given over the phone about appointments. This medical group is the worst ever!! They don't care about the patients, just the profit margin. read more

If I could give this a zero I would. Jesus take the MOTHERFUCKING WHEEL. My son went to OMG Crescent Urgent care last Thursday because his left foot was hit durring a game. We have been on pins and needles about his feet and his ability to have a Senior year, get film, get recruited. So Jae goes in, has his foot evaluated, tells the doc to please send an MRI for his left ankle AND foot as the last time he had foot problems in his right foot, it STARTED in his ankle but was stemming from his foot. I have called no short of 5 times to get the urgent care clinic to correct the order to read both ankle AND foot. I have asked them no short of 5 times to send the order to Oregon Imaging. So they sent it to OMG imaging for his ankle only. I have talked to supervisors, I have made numerous requests, no one at OMG is answering his portal messages, no one can get the order corrected and here we are a WEEK LATER and still no imaging order for what was supposed to be STAT. They are money-hungry scammers. They will accept your payments and then send you to collections anyway. They are also liars. I was told that my prescription for anxiety medicine would be refilled on the phone only to see on their health portal website that it was declined for the reason of "pt needs an appointment." I have had anxiety for ten years now and have been on the same medicine with decent results for nearly two years now. I usually only needed to inform Walgreens of my need for a refill but for whatever reason OMG refused my refill until I went in for an appointment. They just want your money. If you are just refilling a script they don't get as much. After being told yes, and then no I was called by a triage nurse who was very snarky and rude, though admittedly I was not very nice at all either during my panic and frustration. She told me that I needed to help myself... I thought calling the doctor for help was helping myself? After a bit, we got on the same page and she agreed to schedule me for a telephone appointment at 7:15 pm. Perfect, that would work for me and my extreme social anxiety. At 7:09 I received a call from one of the clinic managers/supervisors to inform me that they don't do telephone appointments despite my Online Health Portal showing I was scheduled for one. I spoke to this manager for a while and during this chat, I panicked, cried, and expressed that there is no help for someone like me and I should just give up and suffer. During the phone call I was having a mental health crisis however I never did state anything about killing myself or hurting myself even when asked. I suffer from extreme social anxiety. When informed that none of the solutions would work for my specific circumstances I stated that I would just have to give up and suffer. She called the police and told them that I was suicidal. Despite my social anxiety issues, and telling her I am fine she still sent the police to my house. She then lied in my patient notes saying that I said I "would kill myself if I didn't get what I wanted" when I said nothing of the sort. Avoid this clinic. I've been long time customer and have never seen the office run so badly. I call to get in to see ANY doctor for anytime for the next 2 weeks. Nothing!!! It's like this many times before and I've had it!!! Going to have to find someone else to take my business. Here are my observations: - Extremely long call-in wait/hold times........just to get told no availibility - I have prescription I need filled........but they deny without Dr. visit........but then lead-time to see Dr. unacceptably long!! - Even for simple ear-cleaning (no MD required) it's 3 weeks wait. And my ear totally blocked and cannot hear. Leaving the country in 2 wks and will be gone for 1 month and needed to have cleaned before I leave. They DON'T CARE!!! - Prescription brands get changed without your consent. Doctors actually ok and seem to care. But the business side of operations totally broken and doesn't care about the patients. We're nothing but a cash cow to them. - I could go much longer in my points, but bottom line is that I'm going to fire them and go someplace else. Truly I get better health coverage when I'm actually traveling abroad. So sad. read more

Seven days later, they finally got CT order over to Imaging to find out that Imaging isn't Cigna preferred. Day later, still waiting on doctor to send CT order to another Imaging Center. Oregon MedicL Group on Crescent Avenue off Coburg - I have come here three times for various issues - had an infected fingernail removed, back spasms, and today some crappy cold. I have always received very good care and I have truly appreciated the doctors and the staff. No complaints whatsoever. Because I came without an appointment for urgent care, there was a bit of a wait - that is to be expected. OMG overall - for the most part, everyone I have seen (rheumatologist, otolaryngologist, general appointments) -- staff and caregivers have been excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I only have one complaint - twice when I have tried to refill prescriptions, the pharmacy had to contact my PC doctor for the refill. The pharmacy called saying they had contacted OMG (Diane Kimball's office) THREE times with no response. I then had to call and leave a message to get the prescription refilled. Happened again yesterday. I had to buy an emergency supply and pay out-of-pocket. Called Dianne Kimball's office again and ask them to expedite the refill. I have two pills left and have to get this before I leave town on Monday. Whoever answered the phone was very nice and said she had not received any requests, but she would send it right over. That is irritating - shouldn't take four calls to get a prescription refilled. But that is the only problem I have experienced. read more

They have problems with their billing system and will send you to collections because of it. I had called them multiple times to try and resolve never receiving bills in the mail and would have to call and check in to see if I had any outstanding payments. Despite trying to update my address and work with them and pay online, they sent me to collections because they called once and never left a voicemail or any notification that I had outstanding payments. If you have a good credit score and care about it, do not work with OMG because their mistakes and laziness will send you to collections. read more

Dr. Edsall is exceptional. She is thorough and really ensured I was getting the care I needed, even with treatments and labs I needed for an annual physical. She wrote everything down for me and made time in her booked schedule to fit me in for a follow-up. I saw the nurse practitioner next and felt that she was also VERY thorough and ensured I was well cared for. She put in labs for followups and future so I could come in on my own time. They also have an after hours clinic so you can walk in and get treated without the wait and cost of an urgent care or ER visit. read more

I can't say enough great things about this clinic! The staff is fantastic and extremely personable. Both doctors I have seen, on multiple occasions, made sure that I felt comfortable with their treatment plans and were great at answering any questions I may have had. The nurses are compassionate and caring, and my refills requests are always filled timely and efficiently. Another thing I appreciate is the additional weekend and after hours availability in case I am not able to miss work for an appointment. Thanks OMG! read more

I recently had the "flu," or so OMG told me. I usually go to the office on Pearl, but this was after hours. I called the after hours clinic and didn't get a call back from the triage nurse for two freaking hours. I was so sick I decided to just head over and hope things got better. Got there, saw a female doctor, and was told it was just the stomach flu. Three days later I was still in pretty bad condition, no improvement whatsoever. I again called the after hours clinic and they told me the triage nurse had a long list of people to call and probably wouldn't call back for an hour or so. At least they warned me that time. Again, it took two hours for them to call back and by then I was already on my way in, despite being completely irritated with them - I needed help! So I get there, saw a guy this time who was perfectly friendly... but you know what happens when you assume. He noticed I was very pale and dehydrated... but then said it was just the stomach flu. He said they "could run some tests but it was too late and they didn't have time because they were closing soon." Um... what?! You're a doctor! You don't turn away a sick patient just because you're closing! So I left, not feeling much better I might add, and two days later I was in the ER at Riverbend. They diagnosed it as mono and said I'd had it for quite awhile. Oregon Medical Group should be nicknamed Oh My Gosh, because they can't take care of a patient for crap. Now I have a $2000 bill and a possible lawsuit on my hands. Don't go here. I will be switching doctors. read more

I just received a letter today from Oregon Medical Group telling me that if I miss three appointments in 12 months they will no longer allow me the privilege of their service. I've been with Oregon Medical Group well over 15 years of this point. They've switch me through probably 15 doctors too. Every time I get a new doctor, I'm forced to come in to do a brand new assessment for which I pay the co-pay out-of-pocket that doctor then I have to remake the wheel and go through the same BS for my meds, if the doctor tdd doesn't just arbitrarily change my prescription based on whatever their own personality is without knowing my history! Once an OMG doctor actually threatened me. I called up and reported it - but still paid out of pocket for that visit as well although I never saw him again or heard if he still works there. Find somewhere else. The turnover on their doctors indicates nobody wants to work there. read more

Crap service. I've had nothing but problems here. Hour, to two hour waits beyond when my appointment is, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Incompetent doctors who give false and unhelpful information. Absolutely no follow through. They're dangerous. They openly discriminate against people of lower economic status. Apparently the insurance I have is among the low of the low and they purposefully scheduled me four months out. When I show up they cancel without even a courtesy call, we reschedule and I go in only to find out whoever scheduled me scheduled the wrong type of appointment and my insurance wouldn't cover the visit. I finally got in to see someone other than my primary and she was the best Doctor there. If you have to go here see Dr. O'Connor. Not that they'll take you. They're not accepting new patients with my insurance. Believe me, I asked. Dr. O'Connor took time out of her busy schedule to hear a few of my concerns that I had tried to book a proper appointment for. Thanks to her understanding I was tested and found out I have prediabetes. Had I done what the receptionist and my primary (dr. Emory) wanted It would be another 5 months for an appointment! I asked for a cash price but they insisted on billing my insurance. They checked it and said it would work out of state and it did not. Constantly dropping the ball! Today will be a 3rd phone call because OMG didn't follow through with 2 very important referrals, one of which was for a life threatening allergic reaction problem. Every Doctor Ive seen has been great. The schedulers have again lost the privacy form stating who they can share private information with-this makes 3 times now that I call and fight with someone on the phone how wrong they are.
