And proceeded to ask if she could still honor it since the flyer doesn't state physical.. she replied with "we are working on it..." The food I typically buy from them had a 37% price hike in one week's time. There was no warning or communication to their regular customers. I budget for my dog food so I was surprised and upset. I do admit I was angry, but I was angry at the price not the person. And instead of being understanding, the woman at the counter got snarky, and reactive with me and said they 'couldn't help brand mark ups'. It made me feel like they were saying we don't care that you are too poor for our food.. take a hike. So I did. Really unacceptable price gouging and customer service. You see, Bean and her really had a special relationship. For a dog that always hated going in to get a grooming, I noticed the first day we met Shayna Bean had found not only her new groomer but also a buddy. In today's world, where "customer service" as we use to know it seems long gone.....that is NOT the case with these gals (Kayla & Shayna). Not to mention that whenever we go in to pick up dogfood or treats/toys, etc their entire staff is super helpful and friendly! We now have a new addition to our family... "Tilly" our new English Cream golden retriever. I'm super grateful that there are still such great folks out there that we can drop our sweet girl off to without any worries and know she is safe and loved even when she is away from home. Prices I felt were high but reasonable for a small shop and good quality items. I was recommended a bag of bison liver treats and thought the pup would enjoy them. I had no idea they would make him go nuts whenever I open the bag! I like that it was a local company from Colorado and they were fresh. One of the staff had been through it herself on moving to Bend from PDX. All of her pets developed bladder crystals due to the high level of minerals here in the water. She told me what I would need to do (switch to distilled water) and what supplements to use. My pup is allergic to corn and the vet told me he would have to be on a special corn diet for bladder crystals for the next two months. She found me a food over Chewy that was not corn-based and recommended another food brand that has been a game changer for both of my pups to supplement with until the Chewy order arrived. Fast forward to the 4th of July. I spoke to another knowledgeable staff member about my other dog's anxiety with firewords and she made recommendations that were so effective, we decided to curb his anxiety naturally from now on with the 2 products she gave us samples of. My pup was like a puppy again, playful, cuddling, tender, soft. We appreciate their return policy, too, that allows us to make returns if needed. They have never judged us as we have been honest about pet concerns, which can be emotional.
