On trips, I always have to bring something home for the family and that especially includes the pup! A friend of mine met up with me with a bag of goodies from here so he took me back to do the same. Bendy Dog is a nice little pet shop in downtown Bend, on a street with other fun little shops and restaurants. They're mostly open during the day and sell toys, harnesses/leashes, food, and treats. Prices I felt were high but reasonable for a small shop and good quality items. I was recommended a bag of bison liver treats and thought the pup would enjoy them. I had no idea they would make him go nuts whenever I open the bag! I like that it was a local company from Colorado and they were fresh. This place is very tiny but the staff is amazing and they sell great brands! We stopped in while we were in town after a backpacking trip. I saw some reviews said they don't sell small dog items but there were plenty of coat options for my 11lb dog. Will be back if we're in the area again. read more

We wanted a harness, a backpack and a new dog bed for our English Setter puppy and wanted someone to actually properly fit him. The owner could not have been more friendly, helpful or kind to us and our dog. We left absolutely delighted with our experience and would highly recommend a stop in her shop for all your dog needs. read more

My fiancé and I came to Bend to shelter in place with our two small dogs. Our California pooches were not ready for the crisp mountain air and needed to be properly outfitted. I messaged the shop on Facebook and the owner kindly helped guide us to the right gear. She offered to deliver the item as well as open the shop for us. When we got to the shop it was well stocked with the best gear and treats. We don't have a shop nearly as amazing as this back home. I'd give Bendy Dog 10 stars!! Wow Tawna the owner of this amazing store is so amazing! I brought in my service boy looking for a new lead that would wrap around my waist, ours is looking a little old and ragged. As I'm handicapped I had odd needs of a lead that others may not, Tawna really took her time with us letting us try different ones and see what would truly work for us. I had looked elsewhere in town before coming here and Tawna had the best prices and best customer service hands down! I wish I lived locally just so we can keep shopping there, we will definitely make it a must stop in all visits now. My boy absolutely loved her too, you can tell she is both a people and animal person. Cute little store in downtown bend that wasn't open on time three days in a row. Sign says 11:30 am and myself and my puppy were there until noon. Maybe put a sign outside if something prevents you from opening on time to the community. read more

Stopped in to find a toy for my dog and my dog barked and got excited at the sight of a puppy who entered. There was no one in the dog side of the store, so the lady from the shop across the room came to check us out. She told me my dog needed to "learn how to behave in society," despite her being a puppy herself, and proceeded to explain to me that I needed to use a prong collar on my dog. Will not be coming back to this place. read more

We purchased some Christmas toys & a Pendleton coat for one of our dogs here. LOVED the owner! We had to exchange the coat for a smaller size, didn't remember getting a receipt so I was worried about the exchange but the owner remembered us and was happy to help! The store is cozy and had a great selection of leashes, toys, beds & we even picked up a flyer for the dog training they offer through Chris McLeod. I HIGHLY recommend the training! We did one in house session to help with behavior and I am blown away by the help Chris was able to provide! read more

Bendy Dog is the best! Tawna, the shop owner, is so lovely and kind and warm. She dotes on all the dogs that come in -- obviously loving her chosen line of work. She's very helpful regarding sizing and accommodating special requests. She runs her business with integrity and is never pushy regarding sales.
