I love this place! It isn't your typical Petsmart and Petco and that's what makes it amazing. Everything is good and healthy for your dog (think quality ingredients, holistic products, etc). Also - OMG the samples!!! Whether it's food, treats, or even medication (like Happy Traveler), they always have so many samples. I love the sample sizes of the food samples because we like to switch up and it's nice not to waste money on something my dog won't like. They also have the bulk treats which we love as well. The ingredients are so unique and healthy (natural) and my dog loves them. Also it's $3.99 per pound. You get so much for your money!! I highly recommend this place! I've been into this location a few times. They have excellent pricing and great products. That said, I wouldn't typically leave a review just for that. What I would leave a review for is this: My dog, Macy, is having a really hard time and has a few elements that I was hoping food would be able to address. It was kind of a last ditch effort, shot in the dark kind of thing, as the only reason Macy had not been relieved of her suffering that day was because the vet was out of town.... I believe that it was Dawn that ended up helping me... between she and I - neither of us really knew a sure thing as far as what was needed for Macy - but through scouring the shelves and Dawn's product knowledge, we found some supplementation that has already outperformed my expectations for what we were trying to do!!! To give a quick summary "Scooters Butt Bars" are literally the SH*%!!! I will be going back today, and am so grateful to the entire staff that day, for all of their ideas and help. Any additional day I can spend with Macy means the world, and to know she is more comfortable than she has been in FOREVER is something I will never be able to thank them enough for! A quick note: Career jobs are usually "respected" when we talk about lawyers, doctors, realtors, etc. This knowledgeable and clearly very smart and creative woman at a pet store, saved my dog's life (and my heart). Stopped into Mud Bay to see if they had a harness for my weird sized dog. We live in LA and are visiting, and I have been to probably eight different pet stores in Los Angeles looking for a harness, and have come up empty handed. She's got a weird body that allows her to slip free of many harnesses. Mud Bay had a nice selection to choose from. We found one that was sturdy and will probably last her many years. We ended up buying her and our other pup little fleece sweaters as it's chillier here. And on our way out we found a really cool wool cat pod that our kitty really likes. The staff was helpful without being pushy and they were open on Easter Sunday. The store was clean, well laid out and had lots of selection without being stuffed to the rafters. Skip the chain stores and come here instead. read more

Absolutely 5 stars for this well run and customer service oriented business! I bought a toy for my cats, which, when I got it home, did not live up to expectations. I returned with it the next day, and explained to the manager where I felt it fell short. She swapped out a couple of pieces to the toy, for ones slightly larger - at no cost to me - and tonight my kitties are happily playing with their new toy, and all are satisfied. I stopped by Mud Bay because I had received a $20 coupon when I adopted my cat from the Humane Shelter. Yes, their food is pricey but I learned that you can get samples of their products so you don't waste lots of money on a bag of food your cat will not eat. The salesperson was 5 star helpful and I left with six samples of dry food to try. So far, my cat likes two of them so I'll be back. read more

The staff there is so helpful. My puppy has become a very picky eater. They gave me several trial bags and said to put them in different bowls and see when one she goes to and eats. Great idea. I went back and bought the one she seemed to like. They also keep track of what you previously bought so if you forget (or your husband) goes in they will know what to buy. read more

This is the only place I will go to buy my pet food. They offer several different varieties of healthy options for cat food. They have a large variety of pets treats and treatments. Their staff is just amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. They have great cat trees (the most amazing things you've seen made out of beautiful wood).
