Some of the puzzles just weren't very good/clear and each on had to be pretty much done in order, so unlike some other rooms I've been in, you couldn't have part of your group working on different things to solve too much at the same time and come together to put it all in play. The room is list for up to 10 and we had 9, so only three or four people could really be engaged in a puzzle all at one time-- I'd probably list it for 5 or 6 people since there aren't simultaneous things that can be worked on. There were problems with lighting not being well thought out that was needed to solve major things. My puzzle loving son agrees that the puzzles just weren't as engaging or clear. Some lettering was older or worn off on the mirror/book and not as clear. There were other major things, like the staff hadn't reset the room when they brought us in and didn't notice until we asked, and then they cleared us out to fix it. That was a bit of a let down from the beginning, to see some of the solved puzzles sitting there . We got there early/on time and they started us very late. Email questions prior to the appointment were not directly answered after two or three back and forths. It was just kind of less than the other escape rooms we've been to. I also paid for 10 people and 1 person was sick-- I didn't except to get refunded for that person as per their website rules, but it would have been a nice thing to make up for some of the more disappointing aspects.

I came in here with my husband yesterday and there were two employees working, along with a couple customers. Every single person in the store stopped to stare at us when we went in. The judgement factor was off the charts here. It was extremely clear that they all thought we didn't belong there, and treated us accordingly. We wanted to use the range and rent the necessary equipment to try it out. I've never shot a bow, and so I wanted to learn and see if it was something I wanted to invest in. My husband hadn't shot a bow since he was in Boy Scouts. Awesome opportunity here. We dealt with Trent. I don't know the name of the other employee. But he got things going for us. We had to drag help out of him, it seemed. There was no customer service, asking if we needed help while exploring the store. We finally had to go up to the counter and ask for help. As he was setting up the range, again not terribly talkative. He seemed almost sulky, like a teenager being forced to do chores. I finally had to kind of force a conversation out of him, and it worked. At least he became moderately personable as he was setting everything up. After we practiced and used the range, I had a million questions. I still do because nobody seemed excited to talk to me about it. When we were done we went to pay our fee for using the range, Trent had the perfect opportunity to ask how it went, if we had any questions, or anything else. Nope, just took our money and said have a great day. That's it. The lack of customer service didn't make me feel welcome to ask questions, or that they would be taken seriously if I did. When there's an opportunity to teach, there's an opportunity for not only customer service, but to make a sale too. They failed miserably in this category. It's a nice store with a range, and lots of product. They also sell Black Rifle Coffee. I'm not coming in to buy it here, I'll buy it at 295 Tactical, but it's good to know they carry it now. There's a lot going for the store in terms of the range and product selection. Customer service, not so much. Would I return? To use the range, yes. To buy my bow, no. I'll go find somewhere where there is customer service to teach me and help me find exactly what I need. The Bow Rack is not that place, unfortunately.

The next day, I noticed the crack was rendering the pitcher completely ineffective, the water drained out leaving a puddle and my flowers dried up. I called to see if anything could be done as compensation, since the item was damaged during the glazing process, while in their care. They stated they could do nothing else for me since they already gave me the 10% off coupon and recommended I purchase ceramic glue to repair it myself. Love the idea of an art space like this one in Eugene but they do not take accountability for broken items.

Really, the only thing missing at West Coast Springfield is a steam sauna with eucalyptus. Giving a solid 4 stars

At first,…read moreI didn't want to be "that person" who goes on a rant on the review section, but this review has to do with the impact this particular CrossFit had on many lives. Flashback: March 2019. Covid-19. Most of us afraid. Will our families survive? How will life look during a pandemic? Then news hit. Gyms, entertainment facilities, and restaurants in Oregon to close. At first, I felt this gym was "semi" fair in allowing people to borrow some equipment. I was able to borrow a bar, a kettle, and a few rubber plates. That was nice, but I just can't stop thinking about the fact that they were still charging us the full premium for a percentage of the effort. Two zoom classes offered per day, both during typical 9-5 working hours. Workouts were posted with machines that we didn't have access to, or at least most of us didn't i.e. rowing machines. See, I understand wanting to take care of your family, but at the cost of others? I think about the people who lost their jobs during the pandemic and how you were still drafting 130+ (depending on how many months they signed up for) out of their banking account. In my case it was around $160.00. I was extremely fortunate to have a job during the pandemic, but I don't get how I was paying a large premium for two zoom classes that were during my working hours. The sell point of CrossFit is competing with a group while getting a form of training in a group setting. All of that was removed from the situation and so the cost should have followed, in my personal opinion. If you had decreased the cost to $50-$70, I wouldn't feel so taken aback by the choices made by this facility. A percentage of the work on your part for the full price. Most of us work for our money, and I feel you should have worked for yours, or decreased to alleviate others during a difficult time. I wasn't the only one plagued by these actions, others with whom I came into contact with felt the same way. I just want others to think twice before they choose this CrossFit. I would have happily supported your survival by paying $50-$70, just to keep your dream of having a gym alive, but because of the actions taken during a critical time in so many lives, I could never support this business or this business owner, Andrew, again. I encourage anyone taking the time to read this review to choose a different branch of CrossFit and to not support CrossFit Intensify. -Taylor

Weight machines, free weights, bench and squat racks, group fitness studios, lap pool, basketball courts, rock wall and bouldering area, cardio machines, running track, TRX/free training area, outdoor tire flipping space, outdoor turf fields, and indoor/outdoor tennis are all options here. I feel that even at its peak hours, there are open weight machines and spaces to train (knock on wood that it stays that way in January). As far as the equipment goes, it's new and works great. I haven't seen a single piece of broken equipment in my month of training here, and I come five days per week. Additionally, there's a lobby with a huge TV for game watch parties. The staff is very friendly and helpful! If you go to UO, check this place out for your workout! I also believe there are guest passes available for sale for members of the Eugene/Springfield community.

"I don't want to be here I want to go to the game" - a literal quote from one of the "employees" of this facility.

I have no words for how completely fantastic this experience was. First, SUPER FUN! I wasn't sure how it wasn't going to become repetitive throwing an axe at a wall lol but they have points and different games you can play, they have beverages and snacks too, and they have one lane that has a projector with targets (shoutout to the guy who made the D&D beholder one, SO FREAKING COOL!!!) Then I was surprised to find out we had an hour and a half, when I expected an hour, so that was a pleasant surprise. And lastly the STAFF!! WERE... SO... AWESOME!!! Unbelievably kind and welcoming and funny / cool to hang with, they do such a great job teaching you and helping you with all the little things to help you actually stick the axe, the staff REALLY took the experience to an out of this world place. 10000/10 we WILL be back! read more

First experience throwing an axe at a target, wasn't sure what I was I'm for. Turns out it was great fun and fairly easy to get the hang of it. Oregon Axe has a great atmosphere with pleasant, helpful staff. The training provided isn't available at all of these types of venues so getting a friendly, helpful and patient instructor was a bonus. Since we needed a fourth player, he even stayed with us to play allowing us to get playing tips and try different games. They are able to switch targeting games around allowing you to work on different skills. All on all a fun time and recommend it. read more

I've been twice now within a week. First a girl's night out, second with family from ages 19 to 78. All of us had so much fun! A little healthy competition, a little embarrassment, and a ton of laughs. All of the staff is so nice and accommodating........ and completely willing to engage with my sarcastic 78 yr old father, razzing him, keeping him on his toes and having a fabulous time! This was so much fun. I got a group of 4 work friends together and 2 other folks joined us as walk-ins, and from the get-go we all had a blast. We were all total noobs to axe-throwing. Our axe-pert, Krista, was awesome and rolled with all our horrible puns and smack-talking, and it felt like we'd all known each other for years. We had a fantastic time! We went for my birthday. Our instructor girl was great. She taught us, had helpful critique and before you know it we were getting bullseye and kill shots. It is very satisfying to feel that hatchet slide out of your hands and stick into the wood target. Very clean enviroment. Super professionally structured yet still a fun vibe. For holidays I received Oregon Adventure Bucket list. First adventure was Oregon Axe in Springfield and has set the bar extremely high for future adventures. We arrived to the meeting spot around 10am and got back to the cars around 3:15pm. Reservations were easy to do online, and I received the confirmation email shortly after with details on timing, meeting location, and what to expect for the day. This was the only communication we received, so if you're someone who finds reminder emails helpful, you may not get it with OWA. We were split up between two boats with one additional solo guest. The shuttle ride was quick to Paradise campground, leaving the meeting point around 10:10am. The guides set us up with life jackets and paddles, provide us with instructions for paddling and safety, and after hopping in the boats and doing some practice strokes, we were on our way. The deli-style lunch was set up for us about 2 hours into the trip (12:30pmish). We ate at a campground with bathroom access. The lunch spread consisted of bread, deli meats, cheese, sauces/condiments, melon, veggies, chips, cookies, PB/jelly, sodas - a surprisingly vast assortment and was a treat after a few hours on the water. The entire trip was really fun. We enjoyed chatting with our guides, paddling into the rapids and enjoying the scenery. Our boat hit a rapid "just right" and two members of our raft fell out, but we moved quickly to get them back in the raft and all had a good laugh about the rapid. The only thing I wish is that OWA would offer photos (just cell phone, nothing fancy). As they carry a dry bag and phones, it would have been nice to have a photo of our group that could be emailed/texted after the trip. Or from the staff member who sets up the lunch. We all really enjoyed our day and would definitely be interested to do another trip with OWA. And as the email says, "And remember, a guide can over tip your boat, but you can't over tip your guide."

The only negative point was that the college was closed the day of our Friday evening kick-off workshop. Thus the conference room was warm and stuffy once we had all 85 folks inside. Lorette G. from the LCC staff did everything in her power to rectify the situation. We did manage to cool the room by opening a portion of the next room to create some cross ventilation. On Saturday, the conference day, Lorette was eager to please all of our last minute requests. Can not say enough about how warm and professional she is. From our post conference survey to the attendees , everyone enjoyed to venue site and would entertain us having another district conference held there again.

I have gone here for years from my childhood watching city league hockey to now watching Oregon Duck hockey games. I love the hockey club and experiencing the growth and support. If you haven't already you must come see a game. The new team locker room is a great touch.

The rink has gone through a major glow up this past year. They've invested heavily in making it a…read morewarm and inviting place. You can do free skate sessions and it's an absolute blast. We went in big circles for over an hour and made lifetime memories.
