It struck me as "TJ Maxx meets fabrics & crafts", though with a notable overabundance of plastic flowers. Not sure what the deal was with that, but you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a faux carnation. Lots & lots of fairly interesting trinkets, including huge name-in-lights alphabet letters, decorative mangoes & cheese - now *that's* white - and my personal favorite: the shiny pillows. YOU MUST FONDLE THE SHINY PILLOWS. As for the apparent Christian nature of the chain, it didn't jump out at me in terms of merchandise apart from a selection of surprisingly beautiful crosses (relax, I'm a confirmed agnostic, and I'm not going to shit on someone's parade just to look "cool" for grouches). So why the less-than-perfect rating? Because the people there appear to be assholes. I expect little in the way of humanity from the ill-paid among us, but my one interaction was with an older woman who was openly glaring at me for asking a question... in precisely the same "get thee behind me" manner I received almost everywhere during my travels in Red States. (In case you missed the hint/reference, I'm saying that she was a bitch masquerading as an acolyte of Jesus) But apart from this stupidly contrary-to-Christianity-AND-capitalism attitude, it was a fine experience there. In fact, you'd probably have a hard time getting *any* of the employees to even acknowledge you at all, so no need to worry about forcible conversions or anything... ;)

Greeted us right at the door and asked us if they could help us finding anything. We were looking for wreaths and they pointed us in the right. They had a great selection of wreaths as that's what we were looking for. All of them were beautiful, but overpriced, even on sale. I decided on getting one that was 1/2 off of $80. So I spent $40. Still a little overpriced. But the wreath is beautiful. Beautiful store and very easy to find stuff. Just remember they're closed on Sundays.

Earlier this month I bought a 12x18 frame for a concert poster that's been on my wall unframed since 2014. Unfortunately the frame that I'd bought, broke the minute I got home. Last Saturday 12/1/18 I returned to the store location to exchange the frame for a new one. Unfortunately the store was completely sold out. Michelle and Misty stepped in at this point and went way above and beyond my expectations. They offered me a new frame at a higher value because the store could not provide the same original frame. This matters, because money matters; and because I know that they did not HAVE to do this for me. It is because they understood my situation and they stepped in like true professionals. This experience and interaction left such an impact on me. I am still truly excited, relieved, validated and grateful!.

And then the person who cuts it has been rude and treated me like I'm doing something wrong by even trying to purchase fabric. They are miserable and their set up is a joke. It takes so long for them. I tried to help the lady and she snapped at me and treated me like I'm the idiot. I'm scared to go back next time I need fabric.

They've got craft items, old books, VHS tapes, clothes, and much more. I recently bought an Oregon Duck print pillow, that's handmade by the seller. I always enjoy it. The employees are always nice. Nothing special, and a little slow because they have to write down the seller ID so they can credit the right person because of so many vendor booths. But they've all worked there forever, so you see familiar faces. Prices aren't bad, if you know what you're buying. It's mostly handmade items, so you may pay a higher price because of that. I try to compare it to booths at the Scandinavian festival to see which is the better deal for certain things. It's a store I've gone to many times and will keep returning to, because I can buy craft items made by someone local. I love that aspect of it.

I moved to Eugene and was thinking wouldn't it be great if Eugene had such a place, and lo and behold, MECCA! It's like Seattle ReCreative but 10+ times larger! Paint, canvas, paper, folios, yarn, fabric remnants, yogurt tubs, wine bottles, plant pots, scrapbook papers, so much fun stuff to get you thinking creativity on a budget. My only suggestion is they might find a way to fill in the huge puddle right in front of their door, and that they somehow get more parking spaces!

I've been to this store a couple of times and was able to find what I needed each time…read more The first time I went in search of some galaxy-themed fabric for a pin board I was making. I was able to find two fabrics that were perfect and an employee cut what I needed from the bolts. The wait was a bit long but I just looked at the other fabrics while I waited to be called. I went for the second time this past Wednesday night, about an hour before they closed. My friend had texted me saying that they had the ceramic goose statue that I've been looking for for months and I booked it over there as soon as I could. When I arrived the store was almost empty - I saw one customer walking around (possibly shoplifting actually, as I saw her leave and jump into a double-parked truck that had flashed its brights at me in the parking lot when I arrived...) and one employee who ended up checking me out. The item I bought was 40% off and the employee had said they had been flying off the shelves, which I believe since they're all the craze right now. With the store being so empty, I was surprised to get checked out so quickly. I was in and out in less than five minutes. The employee I checked out with was nice and friendly. The store was clean and quiet (obviously). The parking lot is big and there's a light right next to the store so it's super easy to get in and out of. It's a prime location so I'm surprised I don't see more traffic there over the weekends.

This place is fun!…read more It's a great place to take the family, it works for all ages, and get a little crafty together. This time I made a mug, for my sister, with the theme from her baby shower on it. It was fun. There are stencils and all size brushes/sponges to choose from. There is also any color of paint that you could want. Pencils are provided if you need to draw your design before you paint it. I dont like to do this, I just go with the flow. :) It's convenient if you want to paint something and then go across the courtyard and grab some dinner from any one of the several restaurants in the area. Parking is easy too. Bring the family in! Your ceramics will be done in about a week and then they are yours to keep.
