Let me tell you my story about this... Meeting Alseny and Andréa has changed my life in so many ways. I never expected a dance class to have such a profound effect on my life. I have changed my way of living, changed my major in school (to Anthropology, focusing on dance) and changed my post baby body into a graceful, confident beautiful body again. There are too many rewards to list from this organization! If you are interested in music, take one of their classes (both drum & dance). The rhythms they teach are the roots of many forms of popular music today. The dance classes are perfect for EVERYONE! Yes I said EVERYONE! These are tribal dances, and tribes include all body styles, ages, sex, rhythm or no rhythm, flexible and inflexible! All of the classes not only make me break a sweat like I never have before, I get all of the positive encouragement and energy off the other dancers and the live drumming. I was waiting in the designated waiting area and over heard the instructor bitching about a student who was not there yet. Apparently the student was running a couple minutes late due to the really bad weather. Once the student arrived I heated the instructor being extremely rude to the student. So, after that ordeal another student in the waiting area decided to leave due to over hearing everything that had just happened. Due to the attitude and energy the instructor displayed it made everyone else extremely nervous and honestly made me have very bad anxiety going into my skills. Once in the skills testing area the instructor was very rude to me as well. I understand everyone has bad days but I hope the instructor realizes that a lot of the students are nervous because they are taking their state skills test and her acting the way she did and treating the students the way she did was unacceptable.
