I have experience with other art studio memberships, and wow has this been my favorite one ever. The studio is open 24/7 for members. This works great for me because I work a 9-5 job. I also want to add that all the studio managers and director Jayme are friendly, thoughtful, inclusive, and compassionate artists who center relationships, collaboration, and investment in getting to know the members. I have learned an incredible amount of new skills, been given many opportunities to teach workshops, and help create community through volunteering at free monthly Art Jams on the last Friday of every month. By the way, I highly recommend the Raku class. It was such a rad experience and great for beginners. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone becoming a Wildling student, member, or supporter.

However, there were a few cons -- he used cheap acrylic paint (which I understand) but the brushes were also extremely cheap and used to the point where it caused frustration with my painting because the brushes would not do what I envisioned. My spouse, who is an artist, was frustrated by this as well. I also expected a little more guidance than I got as someone who does not do art -- there were certain times I was really struggling and would've benefitted from a more hands-on approach than just letting us do our own thing. I still had fun, but I don't think that for the materials and guidance we got, it was fairly priced at $45 pp. For the experience we got I would've expected to pay closer to $30 pp.

This was for a special birthday and it's all we wanted to do. Needless to say, we never got a call back, so we were not able to fulfill the birthday wish. The birthday girl and I am severely disappointed, sad and now angry. This is not the experience we wanted or expected. We were in the store six months ago and everyone was falling all over themselves to set up a private class. This isn't how you run a business, it's not how you treat customers, and it's certainly not how you stay in business. The business owner, Cindy, saw my review and said they do not have the staff to offer private classes. Then continued to say to check the website for a form that has info on private events. So which is it? Either you do or you don't. It doesn't matter because they've lost our business and we are now spreading the word to avoid this place because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. We did get two call backs by the way, one guy told us we needed to talk to Priscilla (who never called us back or would come to the phone) and the other said she taught those classes but wouldn't be available the day we wanted.

The owner came into the class several times to check on us and see how our projects were coming. After the class, Sarah accompanied us into the store and helped us find the felting needles we wanted and made suggestions on various products. During that time I was able to watch Steve, the owner, make pottery while chatting with him about his work. He has shelves of pottery that he and his students have made and even the Airbnb itself had some of his pieces. He was very patient and friendly with many years of experience to teach from. You can do private lessons with him to learn how to throw pots on the wheel. You can also purchase his work if you would like some beautiful pottery of your own.
