I was a little hesitant at first, but the kind gentleman reassured me and explained how to do it. This was also going to be the fastest and least expensive way for me to get my picture framed and also meet the deadline. The website was easy to use and I was able to select from a number of frames, mats, and glass or plexiglass. Three days later, my framing materials were ready. I picked it up the following day and the gentleman at the counter explained to me how to make sure and put it together correctly. I brought the picture home and put it together, and the result was beautiful. I highly recommend this frame shop for their excellent service and cost effective Do-it-yourself framing --if that's some thing you're keen to try. I'm sure having the piece professionally framed would have resulted in excellent quality work as well. I would trust them to do this if that was something I needed in the future.

They've got prints, silkscreens, pottery, you name it. Underlying asisan theme, but a few other items that aren't really in any category artist wise. Truly a worthwhile to stop and admire beautiful asian inspired art. I was particularly fond of some prints towards the back in a book. What I could do with a mere $800 in extra art funds floating around!

My sister and I went to the First Friday Art Walk a few days ago and stopped in since it was one of the major stops on the Walk. They have a wide range of art styles represented here; we saw painting, photography, jewelry, fiber arts, and more. The gallery extends invitations artists to be members of the gallery based upon their non-juried art exhibitions that happen twice per year. Whilst the First Friday Art Walk is one way they regularly welcome in the community, they also host a bunch of workshops. I was surprised to see how full their schedule is, and the cost of the workshops are incredibly reasonable--I think I even saw on that accepted donations on a sliding scale. Given its location downtown, it's very easy to visit via LTD or of course by car. There isn't dedicated parking but there's a city lot on the next block, as well as street parking.

It's like the rented the whole place for themselves to be as wild as they wanted with no courtesy for others - except for the fact that they didn't. I'm not a party pooper. I'm not a buzz kill. I'm totally glad we get back to real life and some def fun- for everyone! So let's still be polite. Let's still be aware of our surroundings. Let's respect the others in the room ! What about indoor voices ? What about "read the room"? Oh no , you couldn't do that because you were all acting like you were at a park ! Pre Covid I went to a show and was deeply underwhelmed.This past weekend while visiting, I ran into an acquaintance and we both commented "did they change something? Wasn't this kind of a meh experience before?" Maybe they got the bigger Schnitzer collection out? New curators? I don't know what happened but it was GREAT. New works are top notch Japanese & Korean collections are small but stellar Contemporary & modern North American artists very broad and high quality choices. Single user bathroom on the second floor also a big winner as is the elevator and the tiny but compelling gift shop. Kudos all around (Wish the cute cafe would open back up. Fingers still crossed)
