The service is friendly and their pizza trailer is supposed to open next week - these folks are putting in the work, and it's a pleasure to give them business. Also, the default on their credit card payment is "no tip" - you have to act affirmatively to add a tip. I always tip ($2 on $3.50 today), but these days (we've all seen the articles about the discomfort at these screens) it's really nice to see a business that isn't ramming it down the customer's throat. Great business.

I hit up the Gnomad crew for my Sunday morning jolt of starter fluid (aka coffee). Drink of choice was a 16 oz mocha at the $5 price point. Taste was high on the complexity scale with the usual coffee & chocolate flavors being joined by a posse of roasted nuttiness notes and, to my tongue, a very faint floral shading reminiscent of lavender at the finish. Either that or I need to get my taste buds recalibrated. Nonetheless, it was a cuppa caffeine that danced lively until it was all gone. The downside of the Gnomad Coffee truck is it's location in the hinterlands of Rio Rancho, on Cherry Road just a bit north of Northern Blvd. One of those "You might need a Boy Scout and a couple mules to get there" kind of places. Another hit is that, at this point in time, they haven't yet developed their in-house food service after abandoning their vendoring of Rebel Donuts as comestibles to accompany their bodacious coffee. So it's drinks only at present. The upside of the Gnomie crew is the Gnomie crew's friendly welcome & outgoing personality. Brandon was a kick to hang with on a crystal clear winter morning with about 30 hot air balloons festooning the sky. Great folks.

My friend and I discovered this Taco Truck on the side of Southern and Unser and learned that they…read morestay open until Midnight! This is pretty awesome because now I know where to go if I really want some great authentic Mexican / New Mexican food in the middle of the night. We asked the cook what the best thing on the menu was, and he told us it's definitely the Carne Asada Burrito. We ordered Barbacoa Tacos and an the promised Carne Asada Burrito. (For those not in the know, Carne Asada is grilled and sliced beef and Barbacoa is also beef but from a unique cut of the cow, coming usually from the head of the animal.) We also wanted to try some of the unique Mexican sodas they offered, but sadly at the time they only had Coca-Cola and Orange Fanta. Luckily I love orange Fanta, but I was disappointed I couldn't try something new. The Carne Asada Burrito was fantastic. It was savory, juicy, salty, fresh and cooked and seared perfectly. The flavor was so good. I know what I'm ordering every time I come here in the future. The Barbacoa Tacos, not so much. They were well made, cooked okay, but the meat was a little dry and the flavor seemed off. It may just be that Barbacoa doesn't make great taco meat. Maybe next time I'll try it with some chicken or Carne Asada instead, which I know is made perfect. Something about this place also seems kinda... shady? For one, there's no prices on the menu of the truck. So in order to know how much something costs, you have to ask. Second, our one burrito, taco plate and two soda bottles came to $25. What? Not only that, we were told if we use a credit card they have to charge us tax. Which is of course totally... normal? What happens if we pay cash? We .... don't? LOL what? Only in New Mexico right? -_o One last thing, like any good New Mexican food place, they offer green and red chile. The green was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice to be both delicious and incredibly spicy. I recommend it over the red chile which was MUCH more spicy, but had little to no flavor. It was like goopy, spicy water. If you're a person that only likes hotter for the sake of being hot, use the red chile. If you like a little flavor when your mouth melts from the lava, get the green.

No wait to order and food was served hot and fast. I love that parking is close by and is convenient to go in and out of the parking lot onto Unser. The two ladies are nice and suggested other items next time I return. We will definitely be back soon!

They responded really quickly and explained that they take precautions in the kitchen and that the chicken and french fries are cooked in dedicated fryers that do not contain gluten. We were really excited to give them a try! We went for dinner tonight, and they were pretty busy. The person taking our order was really nice. I let him know that I have a gluten allergy, and he made sure to mark it on our ticket. I ordered the gluten-free Nashville chicken sandwich with french fries, and my husband got the open-face Nashville with fries. Mine was absolutely delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly, the gluten-free bun was actually really good, and the fries were great too. My husband really enjoyed his meal as well. They have a nice little area where you can sit and eat. While we were eating, the owner came out and checked on everyone to see how their food was. He was extremely friendly and genuinely seemed happy that we enjoyed everything. We had such a great experience, this is definitely a place we'll be going back to!

Even though it is a food truck, it has a good seating space with good shade. The service was good, especially when the cook brought our food, personally. They were even concerned that our food was going to be too spicy . Speaking of the food, I ordered the Korean Chicken Boss and the Hellfire Crunch sandwiches with fries. The Korean was a bit tangy and a bit sweet with a good piece of perfectly breaded chicken. The Hellfire was a bit spicy but not overwhelming. Both were messy but it can be contained if you are skillful. The fries were crispy and quite good Overall, I was glad we finally found No Mames, as they made us feel quite welcomed and their food was quite good. Next time, those smash burgers will be on our list!
