Oh my gosh. Where to begin. I recently moved into a teeny tiny studio from a two bedroom apartment (after going through a breakup) and Karen came and helped me set up my new apartment. It is absolutely not an exaggeration to say this woman is amazing. She came into my new space and helped me not only make this place functional, but a home. She helped me organize for my life. An example: she focused on organizing the kitchen while I unpacked boxes of books in my bedroom, and she asked me to come see the progress the made. She had thoughtfully organized a few of my drawers in a beautiful way, but she asked me questions like "how do you cook," "are you right handed or left handed," etc. Through some discussion, we changed the drawers slightly so that they are perfect for me. I will add this: she basically helped me unpack my entire apartment, so this is one example of many. I also felt like she really cared about me as a person. I never felt judged- only that she wanted to make my new place as beautiful as possible for me. I should also add that I heard about Karen because she initially helped my mom organize her new kitchen (a kitchen that my mom spent so much time and energy into making her dream kitchen) and Karen made sure that it was so perfect for her at the end of the day. My mom also has only good things to say about her, thus why we also brought her in for my project. The final thing I will say is THANK YOU!! Brilliant. Karen and her crew genuinely saved us. We went through a big move and hired packers+movers to help, sadly, the "professional packers" were careless, unorganized, and disrespectful to our belonging. I was at the verge of a breakdown when on top of everything, my childcare person had to take 10 days off...48 hours after we moved to the new place. I was connected with Karen via a different organization company and I am SO grateful. Karen came over, reviewed the project, has great energies, and really radiates trust and respect. She communicated her plan before the workdays clearly and promptly. When her crew arrived they were all respectful of COVID-19 guidelines, very very nice, and didn't make us feel awkward at all for everything we own haha. They tackled the boxes, garage, linen, toiletries, and my home office and blew our minds. We have experience with professional organizers and Karen's company really delivers. Karen is a JEM!! For the past two years I've lived in a really interesting space that has some storage but is very complicated with the positioning of it. I consider myself a pretty organized person but VERY challenged by one closet since the day I moved in. She spent quality time with me today and was able to make sense of something that has caused me so much stress for so long. Her creative ideas to add to the flow was beyond helpful. I knew I needed to organize my closet! It not only holds my clothes but all the special keepsakes from our three children. I knew it would take me days or weeks to do this myself. Karen came over and she pulled everything out - there was way more in there than I thought! With Karen's help I was able to sort through things and decide what to keep and also organize items into boxes to pass along to our kids! We did this in a day! Who likes the hassle of moving? Nobody! What a pain! Well, recently it was my turn to move again. This time I was determined to do things better and more organized than the previous couple moves. A friend of mine recommend I hire a professional organizer. I did not know there was such a thing. Well, I am glad I did and I will never move again without the help of a professional organizer. And as far as that goes, I could not have asked for a better Professional Organizer than Karen Schroter. Wow! My kitchen has never been more organized in my life. The same goes for my pantry, bedrooms, bathrooms; basically the whole house. I learned about all kinds of organizing gizmos, and about how to stock closets in a way that you don't have to empty out half the closet to get to something in the back or at the bottom. Karen went above and beyond and also was able to recommend movers that like working with Professional Organizers, which tend to be legitimate outfits. 4 weeks before my due date, our landlady decided not to renew our lease after 4 years! Rather than spend the last month of my pregnancy finishing the nursery and getting some rest before my son's arrival, we had to scramble to find a new home in 2 weeks....which we did. I learned about Karen's organizational skills through a coworker. Honestly, I have never heard of a professional organizer so I did not think of it! Desperate to get our home ready in time for my son's arrival, we hired movers, Karen and some lovely neighbors & friends helped out. Karen worked on my kitchen, my bedroom, laundry room and master bathroom. I have never had a more organized kitchen in my life! It is amazing! I thought I was pretty organized myself but this was a whole new level. She also color coded my closet (I have a LOT of clothes). She organized my whole master bathroom - makeup, accessories, hair products, etc. My laundry room also looks amazing and organized in a way that is practical. I would HIGHLY recommend Karen to anyone that wants to take organizing their home to the next level. Like I said, I'm pretty organized myself. When my coworker first told me about Karen, I thought she would be more useful for someone that tends to be disorganized....but she can help with those that are disorganized and those that would like to improve the organization of their home....and of course, for those women that are pregnant & nesting. I recently moved to Brentwood to live in a nice senior community. I had a lot of help getting moved out by NAPO people so I decided to find similar help in my new community.
