Well, I have used them in the past all the time. They are close and didn't really have an issue. Then I kept having radiator problems. Took it across the street and they told me that the brand new radiator hoses that failed because Orchards screwed up. Then when I sold my car, the guy who bought it called me to tell me that I did not have a newer timing belt, which Orchards had said I needed and I paid for with some other things. Quit going there because things were adding up to not good. I had an emergency and needed a transmission pan. Over the weekend while they had my car, rats or mice destroyed stuff in my car and started to eat through area where my accelerator is. My first aid kits were eaten up, a nice basket I had my dog stuff in. Unbelievable. The work was fine I mean it was a transmission pan but the rodent issue was disgusting! read more

Best experience ever at a mechanic. I was having issue with my 2015 dodge charger overheating. Everything was working properly, no explanation why the fluid boiled over. He topped it off and on my way I went. NO CHARGE! Amazing! I offered payment, no nothing. Car has-been fine since. read more

Secretary at Orchards Auto/Guardian Interlock is RUDE! Its bad enough a person has to have an interlock in their car. Dealing with her makes it even worse! DO NOT USE GUARDIAN! Its very very hard to use and will fail a test 9 times outta 10. Check out AutoSafe Interlock systems before you make your decision. I've been taking cars to Orchards since my next door neighbor recommended them about 15 years ago. In that time I've taken 6 different vehicles to them and have had very good experiences. One thing I've come to like is that they really seem to want to get my vehicles working at the lowest cost to me. Here are a couple of examples: 1. We have a 30 year old F150 that we use for farm work mostly. At some point the brake light started sticking. You had to put your foot under the brake pedal and pull up on it to get the light to turn off. During an oil change at a large national chain, I asked about a fix and was given a quote of several hundred dollars (taking apart a lot of stuff, replacements, etc.). Not liking that idea given the minimal use, I took it to Orchards (with the quote I had been given). They said yes, that would probably fix it, but suggested that they just hit the brake pedal assembly with a lot of spray lube and see if that does the trick. It's been working for two years now and they didn't charge me. 2. I have a new GM vehicle that started throwing a bunch of check engine codes. I took it into Orchards and the codes came up with very generic descriptions that didn't really help them focus on a specific problem (an increasing problem these days). While they had a number of possible leads (all involving expensive diagnosis work), they ultimately suggested that I try taking the car to the dealer and press for warranty repairs since the codes could potentially impact emissions systems (covered by a much longer warranty). That ended up working and saved me a ton of money. Hopefully, now that manufacturers have agreed to fully share codes no later than the 2018 model year, this problem will go away. But I really liked that they acknowledged when they ran into a code diagnosis dead end and suggested a possible solution that saved me money. On a note relating to some other reviews. When I started with Orchards, Loren Sr. ran the place and was my primary contact. He's since pretty much retired and Loren Jr. runs the place. I gather they've expanded into other service lines (the Guardian breathalyzer rental business) and they've taken on a secretary to help out. I haven't experienced that side of the business (including any interaction with the secretary). Recently, it's always been with Loren Jr. or one of the mechanics and the customer interaction has been great. read more

Loren and his crew have been working on my cars for a little over the last 23 years and have been awesome each and every time! Most recently, he installed running boards on my truck and did great work. He's done everything from getting my old beaters running and passing emissions to completely reworking the brakes on my old Ford pickup (back in the day!). I trust him to tell me exactly what is wrong, how to fix it, and how much it will cost before he begins work and I've never had it go sideways. read more

The customer service was terrible. I went in for a scheduled install and was denied because they only do one install per day. Then I went out and called Guardian from their parking lot. After being on hold Guardian informed me that Orchards Automotive didn't want to do business with me. This lady is a terrible person with no people skills whatsoever. I would fire her as soon as possible if I were her employer. There are a lot more qualified people greeting customers at Walmart. read more

I find Orchards Automotive a place with a secretary that is not very helpful . Went to this place over the last six months to translate for a friend that has the GUARDIAN Ignition Interlock device installed in her car and found the service she received subpar. The last incident happened today 09/29/16 when she had a 9:30 A. M. appointment , we are there early, AND THE SECRETARY FABRICATED THE STORY THAT THE APPOINTMENT WAS AT 9:00 A. M. I believe She gave this appointment to somebody else. This secretary has been extremely rude,and not customer friendly at all.Tomorrow I will be calling Guardian to make them aware that unless they are totally desperate, they need to reconsider being represented by secretaries such as this one. She allowed my friend to make another appointment for Friday, the 30th., then when my friend's supervisor called to verify the appointment, that secretary told the supervisor to find another place to have my friend's ignition interlock device removed. My friend ended up going to another Guardian Agency in Kelso, Washington. I am very sad to say that I'll never recommend this place even if they were the last place on earth. I have never met anybody as rude in 47 years in the U.S.A. as that secretary. read more

This company is EXTREMELY dishonest. If you have to get an interlock, DO NOT go through them. I know two different people who had the EXACT same experience with them where they send you tests with your car shut off and then violate you over and over and over, racking up recalibration fees and then refusing to show the pictures they have to prove that you owe them. If I would have continued using them, I would never had finished my program or got my license back. They are purposefully screwing people over who are already in a hard situation. After hearing about this AGAIN I will be contacting Guardian. They need to lose their certification to do interlocks. read more
