They were able to send out a tech the same day (mind you it was a very cold day and we had no heat or hot water). First tech that came out didn't really seem to know what they were doing, couldn't find the fault after an hour. But the backup senior tech (Serge) arrived and was able to troubleshoot and found the issue within 5 minutes. Turns out we needed a new Oil burner controller, he replaced it right away and was able to get our unit up and running in no time. At the same time suggested we get our oil furnace cleaned up (did a great job) as well as the clean up job afterwards, we didn't even need to vacuum the carpet ourselves. Since he did a great job, we accepted 2 more maintenance job from them (Installing a new damper and oil filter unit). And again they sent out someone new, that eventually needed Serge to come out and finish the job properly. Mind you the interaction with Receptionist (Especially Helen) was always very pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend them to friends/family for any sort of Heating/Cooling repairs and maintenance (As long as Serge is around at least).

We had no soffit vents and the insulation was minimal leading to the attic being very hot and humid (in the summer) and cold in the winter. We decided we wanted to rectify this and so I did my due diligence and got three separate quotes. Green Stone Energy's was the highest of the three. However, this was mostly due to the fact that they would do everything to modernize the attic, including insulating, air sealing, adding soffit vents, and an attic fan. Other companies tried to tell me the attic didn't need to be ventilated but I knew that wasn't true. The experience from start to finish was great. Erick was with us through the whole process. I was most impressed by his professionalism during the quote and throughout the attic modernization. All of the workers involved in installing the insulation/ventilation were very polite and walked me through exactly what they were doing. I have temperature sensors throughout the house and so I can already see what a huge difference it's made in keeping the house at a more comfortable temperature. Ask them up front for licensing, insurance and if they are registered as electricians, plumbers, etc. The man who says that he is in charge is operating under the identity of another man listed as the business owner. They have different phone numbers and if you catch him off guard he will tell you his real name is either Lewis when his name is William :/ This young man sent out guys to my property that had no idea what they were doing. They tampered with both my electrical and plumbing and I had to have the work assessed by a professional and take pictures and make records of everything for legal reasons. It is very possible that many of these yelp reviews are from family and friends or paid third party. Be very careful who you let in your home. ALWAYS ask for their detailed paperwork and match it up with their driver's license if you have to. Whatever it takes because there is A LOT of fraud out here nowadays. Here are a few moments we did not like. - The quote was 40% higher than every (6) other quote we got. Yes, I'm the bozo who believed they would do a better job on the roof, communication and cleanup. - They were unwilling to provide/send the presentation to us so that we could re-review it (should have been the first red flag). - The dumpster was left in our driveway for 3 more days than we were told. Who doesn't love a dumpster of trash blocking their driveway over the weekend. They did put wood blocks under the dumpster to protect the driveway which we did ask about and appreciate. - The cleanup was horrendous. We notified the company at least three times that there were nails still left scattered all over the yard. To their credit, they did come back out to clean but what a half butt job to the point we had to incur the cost of buying our own magnetic lawn sweeper. Subsequent cleanups included paper, plastic, nails (on the ground and on the roof), cigarette butts and broken shingles from the old roof. Nails were both old nails and new nails. - During the presentation we specifically asked if they used sub-contractors. They said they did not and if you go with them then you will find out what's accurate. If you are picky, hope this helps, make your own decision based off of your own experience. It was decided to go with a different company for other properties.
