I'm very sad. My fiancé came back with a very sad sandwich we have dubbed "the recession sandwich". He ordered a bacon egg and cheese and received what looks like half of an egg and one piece of bacon on a hard roll. We don't live in the area and used to love to visit for a good breakfast sandwich, but I'm not sure it's even feasible anymore. Prices go up, quality goes down. The people that work here are very lovely, but being kind does not change the fact that the food is just not good anymore. Sorry Orange County bagels, you lost a customer. read more

I always thought this place was strictly a bagel shop but they actually sell fresh cold cuts so if like me you love Boars Head meats this is the place to find it locally (other than at major super markets). Toasted Bagels tasted like shoe leather as they appeared to be over microwaved. Eggs lacking, ordered double eggs didn't appear to be two eggs, but was charged, ordered sandwich with pepper salt ketchup,,, sandwich had none of my condiments which was written on the order pad, bag had no napkins supplied. I would shy away from this location, their Walden location is superb. I prefer Blazing Bagels in Montgomery(***** 5 stars) ! Sorry but not sorry. Ambiance, new building but bad food is bad food!! Picked up breakfast for 10 people. Service was good and staff was very pleasant. Spoke with Brent, the owner, and he was eager to make sure that my order was complete and well prepared. Breakfast sandwiches were tasty and reasonably priced. As another reviewer has noted, what they sell as bagels are not true bagels. Orange County Bagel is the perfect place for lunch. They have an amazing salad bar (they make it exactly the way you like it) and you choose what you want on it. Start with Romaine, spinach, iceberg or a mix, and add your favorites, mine are two grape leaves, chick peas, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, banana peppers, feta and grilled chicken! The woman making the salads (there have been different ones) are always pleasant, accommodating and quick! This is my go-to lunch out when I need a break from the office! I've never had their sandwiches, but there a so many choices and they always look amazing! Cafeteria style seating is ample and perfect way to spend an hour! read more

Stopped here Sunday morning on our way to go biking on the Heritage Trail. Got two bagel sandwiches to go. The place was really big and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. Very accommodating and made our sandwiches the way we asked. The bagels themselves are good. Not great. (I'm from Queens and the bagels by me are hard to beat.) the sandwiches were awesome though. I got A simple honey ham with spicy mustard on asiago bagel. Very generous portions of me and not too much mustard. Very well done. My friend got a special garden sandwich which consisted of a veggie patty with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers,cheese, avocado and maybe something else. I forgot. LOL. I didn't get a chance take a picture of them but they were very nicely done. If I were ever in that neck of the woods again I would definitely go back read more

I had my son order a toasted onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not toasted, unless one considers white inside the bagel toasted. It was suppose to be onion and it had no flavor. Moreover the bagel was hard as if it was old.and sat out. For the price I would.of.expected something better.. the staff should be more attentive to the customer's order. They stay pretty busy on weekends and it's understandable being one of the only bagel shops in the area. I had a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was decent, the wait time was a little exaggerated, but what can you do. The interior is welcoming and you can watch sports or news while having your coffee and breakfast. The staff is super friendly and that is a bonus. I would go back to try out one of their sandwiches; they have an amazing assortment of sandwich choices and they all sound good. read more

In for my daily morning coffee and muffin today. Pay, and was asked to come outside by the person at the register. I was told I was being given a heads up that there was a note left telling whoever rang me up today that I failed to pay for my lunch this past Thursday. I vividly remembered what I had, how much it was and that I did in fact pay. However I was told well yeah it happens sometimes people eat and walk out forgetting. I said I know I didn't, how did I know the price to which I was told "that seems about right". At that point I was already furious having to prove my innocence and then I remembered, I paid with my card. Left for a few minutes, pulled up my transactions and sure enough, there was my morning coffee and then lunch for the same price on Thursday. When I showed it there was still hesitation even after showing proof, the proof that is on them not me. My bank PAID THEM because I PAID THEM and lastly was told "yeah that looks like it" when I pulled up my phone. I am simply blown away. I was heated and was also told let it go I am a "great customer" who frequents the place nearly every day if not twice. To get this at 6:45am when I'm on my way to work. Thanks, no thanks. Yes this is Mike you all know me. Absolutely unacceptable way to handle the mistake on your end. I also want to make it clear this was not the fault of the person at the register today, it was that of the person who left the note or who said I didn't pay in the first place. read more

I stopped into Orange County bagel this morning, 10/22/22, around 11:30 AM. to grab a garlic bagel with a specialty cream cheese, and a coffee. They were out of almost every type of bagel except two. That's fine, I selected another specialty bagel with the same specialty cream cheese. I left with my coffee and bagel, When I stopped to enjoy it, I was surprised to see that there was hardly any cream cheese on it. It was mostly bread. I basically got a plain bagel for $4.75 plus tax which is high even if it had the right amount of cream cheese on it(pics attached). The place was not that busy, so that's not an excuse. Anyway they don't provide a good value for your dollar and I do not recommend them. If I had stayed there and eaten, I would've asked them to address that. There's another bagel shop just a block and a half away that I've been to. I forget the name but they provide good quality and value for your money. I recommend going there literally a block and a half away on Main Street.l I Give Them 1 STAR! read more

OC bagel has been in goshen for awhile. I hesitated giving this location a 3. I would 3 1/2 them. OC bagel has two other locations in Newburgh and Middletown. The goahen location is lacking. Service for a deli was sub par. Service was friendly tho. I ordered 4 bagels with home Made spread. Took them awhile to realize I was around. I ordered 2 bagels with sesame seeds 2 bagels with poppyseed. However... what I received 2 poppi seed and 2 everything. Not a big deal. Except the place wasn't busy. Now, I didn't think I would have to look in the bag while I was in the store to check and make sure the bagels were correct lol. I also ordered a sandwich on a bagel. So the bagel I had the sandwich on was tough and dry. My other 4 bagels tasted soft and fresh. I don't know if they thought they could give me a day old. Bagel or what. I was not impressed. I actually took the top bagel off the sandwich. I don't usually give bad reviews. I was actually going to bring the food back. I was going to ask them if they would eat that dry hard bagel. But com on it's bagels guys. It's not like I'm eating fine dining. I don't know if this is lack of employee enthusiasm or what. But I was not impressed. As someone who has been to this location before. After this experience. I would not come back. I may try another location. Or just go to a different deli. If I'm spending $23 of bagels and a sandwich they should be correct and FRESH. I was disappointed. You guys are local business I support local but I can def get a better breakfast somewhere else. I know this place has bagel in its name but do not under estimate it as a deli. Boars Head Deli sandwiches made to order are done excellently. I have also had the bagels a time or two and have found no reason to dislike. We typically order a left platter of bagels sliced up along with a few different tubs of butter and cream cheese and hAve not been wronged. Definitely a lunch sandwich to add in the list just to get the tiny side macaroni and pickle inckuded. Enjoy. read more

The only reason I didn't give them one star is because they have a pretty tasty Asiago bagel. However while their menu is interesting and appetizing, the execution falls flat. From day to day the same sandwich hasn't been made the same, one day it's missing one ingredient, the next a different one. Then there's the staff. First of all, don't call half an hour before closing because they'll let you know how close it is to closing time and that you'd better get there before 2. I've been in their twice when customers have been forgotten about or become upset for some other reason and each time once the customer is gone, the staff starts talking smack to the remaining customers about the guy who just left. It's a great idea with poor execution. Haven't been there in a couple weeks, I can only hope they hired better, more customer service minded employees since. read more

This place is disgusting. It's exhausting to deal with the rude servers, it's unclear where to order your food, and they'll mess up your order no matter how simple it is. I highly recommend spending your money, time, and emotional energy somewhere more deserving. I've been here 2 times now, because I live in the area and hoped for this to be a convenient stop for both breakfast and lunch and wanted to give it a real shot. Let me detail my visits: The first time I went, it was 1pm yet somehow the grill wasn't working, so they could not make any sandwich that they had to heat up. Rather than offering to heat the better looking sandwiches up in a microwave or provide some sort of alternative, they limited me to a couple choices. There was no coffee left in the two large coffee pots, and the half and half carton was also empty. Probably most disturbing was the frantic way the servers and cashiers ran around in a panic to make a simple sandwich. They took about 10 minutes to take my order and probably 15 to make my sandwich, and no exaggeration: I was the only customer in the building. When I finally sat down to eat my food it was bland, dry, falling apart, and cheap-tasting. The second time, I order a Chipotle chicken sandwich, which I fully pay for and wait 15 minutes for AND THEN they tell me they don't have any "chipotle". They don't offer an alternative sauce or anything I can get to replace my order. In fact, they act angry when I ask them what I can have instead. The servers are pathetically rude and took forever to take my order, even though I'm standing right in front of the counter, and it's also completely unclear where the customers are supposed to place an order. They kept shifting me around and telling me to order from a different spot along the counter. Horrible attitudes, horrible communication skills, horrible food. I will truthfully never step foot in this building again. I hope this place shuts down. I feel bad for everyone who works here and every customer who falls victim to eating here. read more

These bagels are not good. They are tough and will cut the roof of your mouth and ruin your whole day. I have had bagels from several of the OC bagel locations (and they were all tough/ruin your day), but this store is closest to me. They take forever at lunch time. I freeze bags of bagels from my parents house on LI rather than eating these. 2/5 stars because they have Boars Head meats. read more

Newburgh Location: Owner is like a character out of a old Pesci movie and is way too 'city' to be talking to customers. Sandwich took three people to make. I got charged 20$ for a small salad and a sub. Only reason they're getting two stars is because the sandwich was girthy. In literal shock. Will never be returning. I've been here five times and every single time something is wrong. Ordered a dozen bagels sliced. In a box (thinking like a Dunkin' Donuts box.) I got bagels sliced in half twice in mini pieces. I've never seen anything like it. Put on a bagel platter pyramid of mini bagel pieces they charged me for. I'm taking them for a small morning meeting. I thought- no need to order ahead, it's a dozen bagels sliced... what could go wrong. And when I kindly explained oh my goodness I just wanted them sliced, the manager was shouting in the back JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT. Like I'm crazy. I did tell you my simple order.
