My wife and I had an excellent experience here. Dr. Romero is the best optometrist my wife has ever been to, and she's seen quite a few. He is super friendly, very knowledgeable and doesn't make you feel rushed at all. You can tell he really cares about his patients and takes the time to make sure all questions are answered thoroughly. His fees are super reasonable as well. He is literally half the cost of the last optometrist my wife had. Funny thing is, he's twice as good! Dr.Romero is so nice and friendly I was so nervous because I'm used to going to lens crafters but based on bad expieriences I decided to go somewhere else! I found this place on yelp and due to the reviews and my insurance I decided to set up an appointment. Dr. Romero and Dr.Nguyen (husband and wife) are such an enjoyable couple, I wanted to invite them for cocktails! Their little office off the circle is cute and tastefully appointed. My eye exam was with Dr. Nguyen and she patiently explained all the tests and answered every question I had. Frames like Ties are best left for someone else to pick out for me, and they did a great job. Afterwards the gave me a great suggestion for lunch on the circle (The Blue Frog) it was excellent as well, but that's a separate review. This isn't the most convenient location for me as I live in Fullerton, but my experience with them definitely makes the trip worth while, and the Circle is always a fun place to wander around. I like Orange Circle Optometry because it's a small, independently owned business. I had gone to Lens Crafters before and felt like they were just trying to get you in and out. When I go here I know I'll always be seen by Dr. Romero or Dr. Nguyen, who are both knowledgeable, capable, and just super nice people. After I moved out of state I needed some DMV eye test forms filled out, and Dr. Romero was nice enough to fill out the forms and mail them to me. Now that's service! read more

Although I already had an optometrist I've been going to for about 10 years, the amazing Yelp reviews about Orange Circle Optometry made me very curious and prompted me to give them a try. I also like to support local businesses (especially those in my Old Towne Orange neighbourhood). First of all, I must say that, based on my experience, all of the praises about Orange Circle Optometry are true! When I phoned to schedule my first appointment, Dr. Alex was the one who answered the phone and set up my appointment. He was so friendly and thorough when asking all the necessary questions regarding my method of payment and insurance. He introduced himself as the optometrist who would be assisting me and made me feel most welcomed right away. Upon my first visit, the lady at the front desk (Gwen, I believe?) was so sweet and welcoming. While she did the initial testing before Dr. Alex saw me, she gave me very helpful insight into whether or not bifocals would be practical for me. She did not state her opinion of what would work for me but she just shared information that helped me think of things I hadn't previously considered. Once Dr. Alex came into the room, it was like meeting a new friend. I instantly felt comfortable with him and loved his energetic enthusiasm. Dr. Alex is very knowledgeable and was eager to further explain and clarify things I had already been told from my previous optometrist and ophthalmologist. He took the time needed to ask good questions, to listen to all of my concerns, to explain everything, and to explore all options. I never felt rushed. The part that impressed me the most? He wrote out prescriptions for 3 options for me to choose from (distance, bifocal, or computer-use) AND made me feel as if I really did not need to buy new glasses unless I really wanted to since my old glasses still work for me. At my previous optometrists, I always felt as if I needed to buy new glasses each year! They always nudged towards the walls of frames. Dr. Alex nor his assistant ever made me feel as if I needed to purchase new glasses. He only made it known that the new prescriptions were available whenever I decided to buy. Naturally, I wanted to give them my business so I purchased new glasses! Although there is a somewhat smaller selection of frames at Orange Circle Optometry than at my previous optometrists' offices, the frames Orange Circle Optometry does offer are fabulous! I don't know if the larger selections at other offices just overwhelmed me but I always had a hard time finding frames I liked. I always made the purchase feeling "meh" about my choice. At Orange Circle Optometry, I almost instantly found frames I fell in love with so I put my order in for them. I received a call in less than a week informing me that my new glasses were in. When I picked them up, both Dr. Alex and his assistant warmly greeted me as if I was an old friend. As soon as Dr. Alex finished with another customer, he brought me my glasses and made sure that they fit me properly and that viewing at a distance was good. Everything was perfect and I left the shop very happy. I told Dr. Alex and his assistant that they definitely deserve all the rave reviews about them on Yelp. They are so gracious there. I look forward to my next visit there! Oh! And they don't use the machine that blows in your eye for the glaucoma test! They have a different type of machine there that effectively does the test without blowing into your eye! read more

Their office is so clean and upscale and all of the frames they have are new (which isn't the case for a lot of other offices). First the first time in my life, my eyes started feeling strained last week when looking at the computer. Awesome experience. Today I had to grab contacts last minute before I leave for Europe tomorrow and didn't realize that my prescription had expired. At first, I called a slew of other clinics who either a) couldn't fit me in for an appointment, which is understandable or b) didn't carry the brand of contacts I use. It was my first time calling Orange Circle Optometry and Lill answered. She was incredibly helpful and set me up with a last minute appointment, even going so far as to finding out that my insurance covered me for a discount and making sure the clinic had backup contacts I could take on my trip. It was such a relief to chat with someone who took the initiative to make you feel taken cared of. When I got there, Dr. Romero met with me right away and he was intent on making sure that my new contacts were as good as could be, taking time to make little changes here and there. In the end, I ended up with a prescription that's much better fit - my previous one had been the same for the last 2 years - and feels wonderful to wear. This place is AMAZING! We have some very picky family members and I needed an optometrist that was friendly, competent, and caring. I needed a nice selection of glasses to fit the needs of all and I needed it to be conveniently located in one of 5 cities where we live or work. I needed convenient hours to fit our busy schedules. My search led me to Orange Circle Optometry and I couldn't be happier. I felt special and welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. Nothing was a problem. Every concern was addressed. The office staff is nothing less than incredible! Lil and Gwen are both so helpful and fun! They helped me pick out my first set of prescription glasses and thankfully talked me out of the crazy pair that I had first selected. "When people look at you, do you want for them to see you.... or your glasses?" They are so much fun that I didn't want to leave the office! I just wanted to stay and chat! Oh, ya, and they are experts with the insurance people! Dr. Romero was so patient and kind. I knew nothing about eyes or glasses and he gave me a quick course which was so easy to understand. I was freaked out about a floater in my eye and he calmed all my fears. When I called the next day, needlessly panicked, he saw me again right away and double checked my problem eye.
