This was possibly one of my worst restaurant experiences in a very long time. Sadly the waitress could not remember ANYTHING. It was very very bad. Ordered steak quesadilla, rum punch, and my friend got a local beer. Amazingly it came out really quick. Order chicken tacos to go.... complete nightmare. First she made the excuse that it was her 2nd day.. then it's because the cook in the back was new... wonderful experience! i went 3 times while on a 4 day vacation which says a lot. The hookah is great which i'm typically quite critical of. The music and vibe was the best in la placita. Service was superb; Carlos and Frank always took care of us and were so sweet. It's so refreshing to see young people have that type of hospitality. Curfew and cops in PR are pretty strict. Masks are enforced and about an hour till curfew you'll be kicked out. It sucks; but these are the rules of the island and with so much that they offer i gladly respect it. read more

There was about 3 tablespoons of salsa in the bowl. My bf's burrito came out and he was not impressed. My "salad" was lettuce, some chopped tomato, and not-so-great chicken in a fried tortilla bowl. Really not thrilled and it wasn't great. The bartender assured us that the chips and salsa would be free. Asked him for more salsa... FOR WHICH HE CHARGED US $2. First of all people....LOL its a Mexican food chain in PR!!!! with that being said I surprising enjoyed myself. I am super crucial of my Mexican food. OK we went during the day, walked right in off the beach and sat down. It was super clean and the music was pumping (maybe in my head)still good. Over priced. The mofongo relleno I ordered was $16.25, but it was nothing like the other ones I've had before. It tasted plain, no garlic taste at all, and it was a waste of my money. I tried eating the shrimp, because of how pricey it was but I had a hard time eating those as well. For authentic Mexican or Puerto Rican food, I do not recommend this place at all. Was staying at the La Concha Renaissance Hotel across the street from this bar / Mexican restaurant. Stopped in almost every night for a few beers and a taco. The tacos was so delicious - hit the spot at 2am ! Beers and other drinks are very inexpensive and service is super friendly - they have 3 small TVs playing the different ESPN channels. Great music mix playing through the nite and music volume is just right. Only downside is that this place only opens at 4pm - would have loved stopping in for lunch ! I am from the island so my review might be a lil bias contrary to the other review from chicago. In PR we like Mexican food with mozzarella cheese, especially burritos with melted mozzarella cheese on top. Yum!!!!! They do have the option with no cheese. I had the chicken burrito and it was to die for ! It had a small side of guacamole, refrained beans and chips so it was perfect. I had a mojito, since I was looking for a place with good mojitos in the area. Hands down the best mojito. And the cheapest! I paid $23 for a burrito and 2 mojitos. The best part, the bartender let me bring a mojito back to my hotel, though I had to come straight to my room. From now on, if I want a drink, I will go across the street from la concha to have a cheaper, tastier and bigger mojito. My review is solely on the atmosphere, price of drinks, and friendliness. We came in here while walking through Condado on a hot, humid night last week. We initially stopped in at the place next door (Angels something) but after 20 minutes at our table for the beer we had to go order at the bar bc they weren't coming to the table for the first 10 minutes, we got a little tired. And left. So, then we found, ORALE GUEY. The music was fun, the atmosphere was chill, the bartenders were nice. No More sir." I guess the sign they use to lure you in is just for decoration. Got refried beans - a little cup was $6....they were good but not worth more than $4. The receipt had a few mistakes on it, but the difference was only a few bucks so I didnt say anything. Adding peppers , onions , and tomatoes come at a separate cost. A Super small Sour cream and guacamole total to about 4.00 . The bartender also put in my friends order incorrectly and seemed upset when she requested her correct order. I went here for a summer vacation last July. Thankfully, after some misses at other places, this was a hit! They had the friendliest staff. I didn't order food other than chips and salsa (which were good) because we were on a quest for drinks! The bartender made amazing unique shots (like one he called The Smirf) and shooters that tasted so good yet still had us feeling great.
