Turns out they charged me a late payment of $9.10 because I did not manually pay the bill. According to the agent I chat with online they sent me an email to make payment by a certain date. So now the next bill will be doubled plus the late fee which would automatically be withdrawn from my account in a few weeks. Yet I was supposed to pay the first bill manually then the second payment would be auto pay. Does anyone really buy that argument? It's just another way for Verizon to fleece and scam customers. Be wary of Verizon. It's a company that is obsessed with collecting fees. Believe me if I can go without it I would. Other than that so far the service is reliable so I don't have a problem with service at this time.

Thank you for calling [name of (expletive) company here]. Please listen carefully as our menu options have recently changed (no they have not). Also we are experiencing higher than average call volume, which is our way of saying that we don't know the concept of "average." You get a ACTUAL PERSON (or at least a very convincing artificial intelligence), thank heck. Lastly: the night of 1/6, our speed tanked. I texted the customer support # and within minutes got an answer, and shortly thereafter our down/up speeds were back to normal. They diagnosed it as a problem in the lines coming to my unit (so not my issue) but it will still take them 3 days to come out and restore service. I understand that they are less expensive than others, but I can't really deal with outages like this. If it happens one more time, I'll move on to a more reliable provider

Since this space is new and I had a couple of questions of my own I decided to go along. This space used to be the Panera Bread and Radio Shack before that so its rather spacious. Social distancing is enforced and each of the staff stations has a plexiglass shield in front of them. There are a number of mobile phones to choose from but I will be sticking with Verizon since I didn't see any massive savings against what I am paying right now. Since they also deal with new cable accounts I tried to see if I could knock some bucks off my current monthly plan since its ridiculous but they could not oblige with this and suggested that I call customer care since they had more power to do that. I think I am leaning toward an Internet only process where I enjoy my streaming services and only use mobile but lets see what happens. Overall I found the staff that I spoke to friendly and willing to help. I've seen Yelps of otherwise but that was not my experience at all.

I used to have this and then they ended it while other providers only increased data access for their patrons. It makes no sense. There isn't a technical desk for repairs and such at this location anymore which is a bit of a bother but I will say that every staff that I have ever dealt with is very helpful. It can get crowded depending on the time of day that you pop in and since customers rarely know what they are exactly seeking in terms of technology it can add to wait time. My contract is drawing to an end in a couple of months and unless there are better data offerings this might be my final go round with Verizon as a wireless provider. I will have been a customer for 18 years. Can you hear me now Verizon? Get on point.

It's been…read morequite reassuring all those times TWC lost connectivity in my building that RCN had remained fully functional. The reason for the three stars however is for 2 reasons. First one is price and the second was due to an incident last month when connectivity was lost for 2 days which was made more painful by the fact that almost everyone was either working or schooling from home. During this time RCN would not provide a reason for the outage and only provided automated messages when calling the helpline estimating time that the system would be back up and just moving out the ETA every few hours or so when you called back expecting access to be restored. Having provided a realistic timeline would have set expectations and given subscribers enough time to plan alternative solutions. Next time do better RCN
