    Came to this location to return cable boxes and remotes. The process was seamless even though they only allow a certain number of people inside due to covid. The security guard was friendly and directed people to stand on the circles to maintain social distancing. The representative that I dealt with was very nice & came out from behind the window to collect my bag of cable boxes so I didn't have to pass each one through the window. She was fast, efficient and friendly. Great experience.

    This location, somewhat out of the way sees a lot of traffic at almost every hour of the day. I went in today to return a modem (no longer with Optimum yayyyy) and luckily for me I was in and out of this place. Walked in, hopped on line, return their modem, and was on my merry way before I could notice i was even there. But I actually noticed a few things.. Me being me I noticed: - security guard on his cell, chilling on the chair - place was very clean and easy to maneuver - optimum employees worked quickly - wait was not annoying as usual - bikes aren't allowed inside - security requested a lady fold her baby stroller - they give small, white paper receipt now (instead of the giant pink ones)

    We have had Optimum for several years. There have been issues with the service but they are…read moreeventually worked out. It is the billing side that you need to be careful about. As usual at the end of the year there is a discussion about rates or changing carriers due to increases. It gets settled but seems to be needless aggravation every year. This time is different, After agreeing to a price for 2026 at the end of 2025, the company basically reneges and raises the rate in March. When I called, i was informed one of the line items had changed. If I wanted to have the lower rate, all I needed to do was downgrade my service. The suggestion to me was insulting.

After the first guy ran through all his deals and I rejected them he transfers me to whoever gets you the pins we suddenly lose cell service. those pos's cancelled our service before i even got the pins, Vindictive $hit! Then I call back on a landline (because they shut off our service) the one i spoke to assured me that our service was still active (yeah right, so why did our phones magically start saying not register on a network and emergency calls only). Then won't transfer me to get the pins until I give her a reason that we are transferring our service. By this time I'm getting super angry, I ask for a supervisor after two minutes she comes back and says two more minutes. After two more minute gets back on and tells me there is none available, I hang up, she calls back says one will get back to me with 24 hours. i hang up again she calls back and asks if I still want to escalate it. I said no, I just want my pin. She then tells me that I have to give her a reason or she can't transfer me. So we went round and round about that, Finally I said because your customer service sucks. She wants to know why. WHY!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Then she won't transfer me without telling her the deal I'm getting. I told her that's really none of your business. Still won't transfer me. So I lied to her because as I said, none of your business. So I finally get to the magic man with the sought after pin numbers. He said the same, I have to give him a reason. I said, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Don't you people share information I've told no less than four people already. So he goes into salesman mode tries throwing all these deals at me. I told him after what I've been through with you people today you could make it free for life and I still wouldn't take it. Tries again, I said did you think I was kidding?. Says I have one last deals, you can say no and then I'll get you the pin. Told him I'll save us some time and say no now. And everyone I spoke with had an accent you could cut with a knife. Not being racist either, my wife is from the Philippines and has a heavy accent, tells me they out source their call centers.

When they first opened, most of the employees were Black. However, they were helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and professional . Overall, the employees used to be present. I don't understand how you could be in a sales position in a completely empty store; and two people walk in interested in with questions , but she was not interested in anything but getting back to her phone call . I know I am not overreacting because the guy who walked in before me said he wanted to purchase a phone line and keep his number. She gave him a price. He told her the price that he received on the phone..Her reply was exactly this "ok so get it that way then" . She had an annoyed, dismissive tone.. Also she was on the phone before he came in. Now she gets back on with the same person and starts talking smack about the young man who spoke broken English. Tells her friend the story like this guy who was just trying to find out info is a fool. She said "why didn't he get it on the phone then, okurrrr.. and then she went on to make fun of his accent. Now it's my turn and proved the other woman wrong that I spoke to for five seconds and she told me to call optimum and she went on a break.

It would be fine if they just weren't open on Sundays, or weren't open as late, but inaccurate hours are really annoying, especially when there aren't that many locations, and they're out of the way for a lot of people.

The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.
