One of them was over an hour late so they gave me a free service. The last time I went , I notified them that I wanted to stop my membership. I was told that sometimes it takes 30 days. I let them know that that credit card was gonna be off. I was told in the beginning that if a credit card did not work because I knew this one was gonna expire what would happen and they said that they would call me and get a different form of payment. Instead, they took it upon themselves to go into my personal checking account that I had used once in their location to pay a tip. And they took another month of membership, even though I canceled my membership, 3 different ways, email, phone, and text message. They never had permission from me to take money from this account. The manager, there is very unprofessional. I believe that whole location is unprofessional.They're shady , and I would never recommend them to anyone nor would I ever step foot in another location. That free service they gave me because I sat in a waiting room for an hour waiting on my appointment that was made a month ahead is tomorrow and I will not be showing up for it , they can keep it.

I had my first experience at the salon on August 14, 2024. That day, I was less than impressed. The salon is fair, in terms of ambiance. The service was not good. I have received one other facial - ever, and this was only my second, so I didn't have a wealth of knowledge as to what was "normal." However, while receiving the facial, my recurring thoughts were "Will she do anything different anytime soon, I wonder?" And "I wish this part where warm air blows at one side of my face would be over already." This part of the facial, where I was left unattended in the room alone probably took about 15 minutes. Since then, I hesitated to claim the second one, since the first was so bad, but I decided to try once again. I scheduled online in the groupme app. There was some confusion, with an error message, so I tried again, and unfortunately 2 additional appointments were booked. When Miriam called to discuss this issue with me, she was extremely rude. I have since had other interactions with her to try to get the scheduling squared away and each interaction, she is short-tempered and apparently disgusted with me, judging by her tone of voice. I will not go back to claim the second. I would not recommend this service or salon.

I'm not sure what basic facial (which is what the Groupon was for) doesn't include some extractions. It seemed a bit rushed. I am definitely not someone who's overly sensitive, and I totally get things happen, but I was not impressed with the customer service. I felt like I was inconveniencing her. She left the room probably 7 times during the 1 hour session. To add: I just put some toner on my face with a cotton round and a bunch of concealer or foundation came off, which I didn't know was applied. I came in 100% barefaced. That's a first for me (I've gotten many facials.) The whole point of a facial is to leave with clean skin...I don't want it getting clogged with makeup after JUST getting it cleaned. She said she was in compliance with charging her clients sales tax on personal services due to the number of services she offers. However, I explained to her that I had spoken to a few different representatives at NCDOR who all told me I was improperly charged, since I only had personal services done and hadn't purchased any products that day. When I explained to her what NCDOR told me, Emelia's response was that "they" don't always know. To date, I have yet to receive the refund for the sales tax I was charged that day. When I told her I wouldn't be returning, she could have cared less! I guess she has plenty of clients who are unaware they are being charged sales tax improperly on their personal services so losing me as a client meant absolutely nothing to her!
