Shantael is by far the best at what she does. She is personable and always a professional that strives to give you the very best experience. From her waxing services, her massages, facials etc. I always come out of her spa as a pampered princess fully refreshed and energized. My skin hasn't look or felt this good ever. You are in great hands with Shantael. She is simply the BEST. read more

I highly recommend Caim Wellness Center and Spa! Shantael is the only person who has been able to tell me exactly what's going on with my skin and help me correct it. The prices are just right, making it affordable without sacrificing quality. The place is always clean and has a very relaxing atmosphere, making each visit a truly enjoyable experience. I can't see myself going anywhere else for my skincare and wellness needs! read more

Artistry by Shantael (Selah Spa Therapy) Shantael was very personable with great knowledge and quality of service, and she does various artistry treatments from skin care to full-body massage! Instead of the more standard spa-business setting, she does private practice from home (which I wasn't used to at first--never been to a home spa/business before--but then began to feel more relaxed and ready to sit down to share a meal soon after), so expect to arrive at an adorable, eco-friendly home environment (perhaps even a smile from a family member briefly passing by during intake).  She's not open for business every day, but I love that she has some evening and Saturday schedules available. Though comparable with most salon pricing, the cost can still be on the high end for someone with tight budget, but she was knowledgeable in her area of expertise and skillful in her methods.  I had a facial care. The cleanse/extraction felt thorough (with no red mark aftereffect), finishing with (great plant-based products) sensational moisturizing, and the facial/neck/shoulder massage was very soothing. I already have a special esthetician I visit, whose pricing is a little more affordable for me, but I'd also like to revisit Shantael for her great style and different methods (I went to try Shantael because I had been given a discount/gift card).  In addition to having knowledgeable and skillful treatment, I had lovely (plant-based care) conversations with her. So, it was a very wonderful experience for me, and I would highly recommend her services. read more

I was so nervous, but Shantael had me in stitches as soon as I walked in and even though it was about as painful as I thought it'd be (I've never had anything waxed!), I was laughing and distracted the entire time. My skin looks and feels amazing, and she explained the whole process to me including aftercare, because it was obvious I had sensitive skin. Her salon is super relaxed and super clean, there was water and R&B and natural light. I can't wait to go back! read more

I've been seeing Shantael for 10 or more years now and she is great! I would be considered a difficult case and instead of giving up, Shantael accepted the challenge and never stopped trying to find techniques to make my experience better. She is both professional and personable so you will always have a comfortable experience no matter what you're getting done. Highly recommend her! read more

Shantael provide a whole and complete professional service. We discussed my needs and Shantael advised on the best products and service. Since using Shantaels service my skin has improved and her products are a great way to keep up with her professional routine when you're unable to get to the salon. Highly recommended. A Star service! Shantael also shipped my products overseas to the UK and they were delivered professionally packaged within 5 days. read more

I recently moved to Providence from Upstate NY. Leaving my previous aesthetician was one of the worse parts of moving because she was extremely good. Any woman who moves to a new city knows the pain of finding a new aesthetician. I began my hunt via Groupon and Yelp. Imagine my shock to learn of what passes for a facial here in RI since many aestheticians cannot use the lancet to facilitate extractions (Shantael can though !!!) Shantael literally saved my face!!! After months of subpar care it was truly the worse for wear. It is NOW finally on its way to recovery. She not only does an amazing job with facials but also with waxing and eyebrow tinting. Yes she works out of her home and this helps it feel more personal rather than a number in a long list of clients for the day. She is extremely accommodating and has dealt with my add ons and crazy work hours. If you want an amazing facial or wax Shantael is your person read more

She had a 20 minutes slot for me and for me right in to do a brow wax. Great pricing, professional services, her quick response time on yelp all lead me to her. This will be the place that I come next time to get my eyebrows waxed. She listen to my concerns, and was super friendly and did a great job. Also, she takes many different forms of payment - cash app, venmo, etc. See you again soon! read more

Shantael is the best at what she does! She is meticulous and efficient at her craft. I have been seeing her for a few years and my skin has never looked better! You will not be disappointed. read more

Awesome. Able to fit me in last minute and I am eternally grateful. I will be going back. Very professional and friendly.

I am so glad I went here! I travel for my job so I rely on Yelp to find the best waxing, massage, day spas to maintain my wellness in different cities. When I called to make a same day appointment, Shantel was extremely accommodating! The only thing was that I had to call once I got to the spa and walk to the back on the entrance where their is parking. When my uber arrived I realized it was because the spa is in her home! When I entered, the place was so inviting and very clean, well organized. I felt literally at home! I had a full face wax which was filled with great casual conversation and music and little to no pain! I hadn't even realized she was done until she gave me the mirror! My brows were naturally and delicately sculpted and not a hair in sight. As far as the massage, good God that massage was just what my body and SOUL needed! As an avid massage goer, her pressure was perfect! She worked through knots that I felt I have had for eons and soothed my body like she was blessing it! I woke up from the dreamlike massage feeing like a new person! No pain, relaxed and energized to do my show (lots and dancing in heels), as well as having tons of recommendations for restaurants, nail salons, and apple orchards to visit during my week stay in providence! I'm so glad I came here and I can't wait to go tomorrow for my first microdermabrasion- which she showed me and educated me on for the new visit. What a gem this place is!! read more

It had been a while since I visited a salon for waxing. I didn't know where to start in a new location not knowing what to look for. So I started my own research for THE BEST aesthetician in my area. I came upon her reviews online and looked like everyone who had her has this fantastic experience on their reviews. So I booked her at the salon she used to work. I guess I was a little nervous waiting. Though a moment she welcomed me at the waiting area, she made me so comfortable with her gracious smile and nice tone of her voice. She escorted me to the back room and instructed me how to get ready. When the moment arrived on the spa table, she started to distract me from thinking about the pain I would be going through and believe me or not, it was not painful after all. It was amazingly quick and painless. Throughout the process, she was so professional. And she will give you some advice on how to maintain after the waxing. Months later after having her as my routine maintenance aesthetician to go back to, I suggested my co-worker to try waxing in her own area. She lives in MA, she made her first waxing appointment at one of those European style salon in the upscale neighbourhood. I was so excited for her. Turned out she had THE WORST experience you will ever hear from your friends. I was horrified to hear what she went through with her aesthetician. I had never heard such negative experience by reading reviews on waxing when I was researching. So I was curious how much Shantael encounters on her daily basis that are difficult clients to deal with when it comes to waxing process. Am sure we all are different skin types and hair types. Sensitivities are different, pain tolerance levels are different in each one of us. Her answers really confirmed that how fortunate I am to find her as my aesthetician. Waxing is a science. It involves in the volume of your hair, skin types, type of wax, temperature and thickness of wax and so on. With all the involvements concerned, Shantael knows what she is doing. She left the salon in my neighbourhood earlier, but I begged her to keep me informed wherever she goes because I want her to be my aesthetician FOREVER..... If she relocate to some other states, I will fly there to have it done by her. I highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of having it done in Providence to go and see her. read more

Best eyebrows ever! Ms. Shantael is very professional, personable, clean and detail oriented. Did I mention that she is an actual licensed esthetician? Finally, someone who can actually fix a threading disaster. More than glad to return. read more

Had a facial done yesterday and I don't think I've had someone pay this much attention to my face before. She found trouble spots I had forgotten about and ones I didn't know we're there. She's a great aesthetician and is very kind and loves to teach you about different products and why your skin is behaving a certain way. I'm a customer for life! read more

Wonderful experience each and every time I receive a service. Whether it be facials or waxing or massage I am always leaving Shantael with a relaxed wonderful glow. Thank you! read more

Shantael is seriously talented. My eyebrows have never looked so good. She truly cares about her clients.

I will be the first to admit that I am overly picky when it comes to people dealing with my face. I recently moved to Providence from Chicago-- with so many choices in the RI area, I had a lot of research to do! When I found Shantael it was like finding a face angel!! The place is exceptionally sanitary and comfortable. She isn't afraid to give you some tough love, but in the end she knows what she is doing! Personable, knowledgable, and a miracle worker, I saw results immediately. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! read more

Shantael is amazing!!! minimal pain and very quick. Definitely a returning customer here! Edit: I've bee using Shantael's waxing services for about 5 months now and she is THE BEST! I just got my first much needed massage from her and the pain in my neck is nearly gone! I'll be following up with her in the near future. read more

So I have never waxed anything before in my life, eyebrows, legs, nothing. So clearly I thought a GREAT idea for my first time waxing would be a Brazilian. My friends said I was crazy. I found Shantael by a simple google search, and by reading reviews I was impressed. I will also note that I do like supporting small business, especially those owned by women, so I generally gravitate towards places like these. Girl power. As soon as I walked in I immediately felt like I was in a comfortable place. Her home is lovely and decorated adorably. It smelled nice and I felt at ease, especially for being so nervous about my first time waxing. The service itself was amazing. I don't have much to compare it to, but for probably the most intimate experience ever, she was professional, fun, and educational. I learned about skin care and the body, and we talked to the whole time which put me at ease while she was in VERY private areas. It went by much faster than I thought, and she was encouraging and sweet when I got tense. She also used a few different kinds of waxes for different areas, and that told me she really knew the female body and what would work best for me. If you are looking for a personal yet professional waxing service I can't stress enough how fantastic Shantael was. Some of the bigger businesses I go to for nails, hair, etc. I lose that personal touch and I feel like I am just a number, but here I felt well taken care of and I could be myself. All I can say is that I had one of the best experiences when it comes to personal grooming and I am sad to be leaving Providence in a few weeks because I would go to Shantael every month if I could. Whenever I come back to visit, she will be my first stop! Thanks so much! read more

Shantael puts you completely at ease, which is saying a lot for a girl who'd been growing her leg hair out for years! Thought I'd make a change and I felt really listened to and taken care of, which is hard to find when it comes to waxing. I can say without a doubt this was the best wax I've ever had; her skill is obvious and she invests in really high quality materials. My skin is usually really sensitive, but I came out the other end with really minimal irritation. I love that she is an independent business owner making things work for her and her clients. It makes the whole experience much more comfortable and I feel good knowing that the money I'm paying goes directly to support her and her work. read more

I used to drive an hour plus to go to my long time aesthetician in Kenmore Square. NOT ANYMORE!! Shantael is simply fantastic. ONE STOP SHOP. I can get waxing, massages, facials, and even makeovers all in one place. Her industry knowledge and commitment to excellence exceeds my expectations every time. I appreciate that she stays on top of the latest training and tools to always give me the best. For a number of years now Shantael has been my only choice. read more

Shantael saved my face! My skin was very damaged from skin medications and I didn't know what else to do. My face was burned, dry, peeling, inflamed, and irritated.I came to see her. She went out of her way beforehand to get products specific to my needs. She took her time and gave me a nice, relaxing, thorough facial. I also purchased an exfoliator, moisturizer, and serum. My face feels and looks 10 times better! She also gave me tips and taught me about my skin. I cant wait to see her next month! Thanks again! read more

I just had my first appointment with Shantael and she was wonderful! She really knows her stuff! I had a few waxing services and they were as painless as waxing can be. She was very thorough and quick. I will be back for future appointments and will absolutely be recommending her to friends. Make an appointment, you wont be sorry! read more

I had an appointment with Shantael today for some facial waxing. I arrived late as I couldn't find the location. Note that it is not a storefront, her space is on the 2nd floor of a 3-story home. I was originally a little put off by that but...I am so glad I got over it! As a new client, I had to fill out some pretty basic paperwork, then Shantael and I discussed what I was looking for. My response...perfect brows! And no random chin hairs! After we talked a bit about my skin type, and she took a good look at me, she recommended a brow tint, which I decided to go with. After spending about 45 minutes attending to removing lip / chin / brow hair, the end result was perfection! I love how my brows look! One thing I absolutely hate is when I have to pluck a few random hairs when I get home from a waxing appointment. Shantael is such a perfectionist that there's not one random hair to pluck! Highly recommended!! read more
