I fell and broke my glasses. They were a mess. I took them to optical matters and the guy patiently straighten them out and then he ordered me new lenses. They are fantastic. After searching for companies close by to get an eye exam I settled on optical matters. Less than 24 hours before my appointment I was called and informed that they are no longer taking my insurance. Even though while searching it clearly said on their website that they took my insurance. Now I have to scramble last minute to find a place that takes my insurance. Getting glasses is not at the top of my fun list --- but Optical Matters definitely made the experience has best as it could be. First off --- they take most insurance plans so I was out the door with a new pair of 'nice' glasses and my exam for under $25. Additionally, I had my glasses in less than a week. The glasses selection was endless --- weather you wanted classic to trendy (OR) budget friendly to 'price is no object'. Best eye doctor in Denver. Dr. Gosling is very knowledgeable. He definitely knows his stuff. He is also very personal. My whole family goes to Optical Matters and he remembers all of us by name and remembers what each of us have been up to recently. I have an embarrassing problem that I vomit when I get I nervous. The "eye puffing" machine always makes me nervous since you never know when the little puff is going to come. Because of this, I have embarrassingly vomited during an appointment. (I can't believe I'm telling Yelp all of this!). Dr. Gosling was so kind and is always very attentive during this portion of the appointment making sure I'm doing okay. He was super understanding about it. If someone can be kind and understanding in a situation like that, then they are truly a kind person! The rest of the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They make everything so much easier. They go out of their way to help and you can tell they are so genuine in their kindness towards customers. I have lived all over the Denver area. Centennial, Boulder, Longmont, the city of Denver. But it's definitely worth whatever drive I have to make to come to Optical Matters. read more

Absolutely some of the nicest people I have ever done business with. From the front office staff to the doc, just nice and professional. I have been meaning to write a review for these guys for awhile but forgot. Last weekend a lens popped out of my eyeglasses and i thought it was broken. I brought them in expecting to have to pick a new pair of glasses. The lady (I believe she is one of the owners) took one look at it and saw that a screw was just loose. She fixed it, cleaned my glasses and thanked me for coming in. If you don't use Optical Matters for your eyeglass/contact lens needs, you should really consider punching yourself in the head. read more

Looking for a great Optometrist? Look no further, this office is a Gem in the Littleton/Centennial area. I have been coming here for over 10 years. I used to live in Littleton, then moved to Highlands Ranch, and now in Parker, and I refuse to switch to a different Optometrist. This office was recently renovated, so it has a beautiful modern design on the inside and all the latest equipment. But the part that separates this office from other is the staff and Dr. Gosling. The staff is Top-notch, always very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Went in to see if Optical Matters could help me get a good pair of glasses with a prescription form another doctor. First of all, I was greeted when I walked in the door, even though the staff was helping another customer. I was helped by Lisa and she proceeded to walk around the entire store and help me narrow down the LARGE selection of frames they had to a manageable group of about 10 frames. We went and sat together and she helped me settle on a pair that I am REALLY excited to wear. She got me measured and I paid for the glasses and left feeling WAY more excited than I should about how I was treated and the purchase I made. My glasses were not cheap by any means, but the fact that Lisa understood how important it is that I felt good about spending that kind of money meant the world to me. I am pretty sure not everyone will feel the same way I do, but I cannot express my appreciation to the Lisa and the staff for making me feel welcome and not a bother for choosing to do business here. This is a small local shop that I happened to pop into a couple of years ago while I was looking for new sunglasses. They were super friendly and turned me onto a pretty amazing pair of Costas. I like the fact that they don't just have the typical selection of other big chain stores (You know... Maui Jim, Ray Ban, super-expensive-low-quality-brand-x-made-overseas-and-sold-for-ridiculous-markup, etc.) Arguably, Costas are super expensive, but also incredibly bomb proof. I've had my pair for 2 or 3 years, have dropped them off of various moving vehicles a number of times, sat on them, etc, and the only thing that happened was that the nose pieces finally wore out after about 2 years. So today, I realized that 3 pairs of my and my wife's glasses have lost their nose pieces, so I called them to see if they had any replacements. They were, again, super friendly on the phone, and said they might have something and to swing by. They then replaced all 3 sets of nose pieces and wouldn't take a dime from me even though I offered. Two of the glasses I didn't even buy there! Anyway, this small shop has fantastic customer service and are genuinely knowledgable and friendly. I'd highly recommend doing your shopping here -- especially if you want wider variety and great customer service. read more

I ordered a pair of (very expensive) Costa prescription sunglasses but unfortunately Optical Matters ordered the wrong frame. I understand that can happen but the entire order had to be re-processed. I was told that the re-order would be a "rush" job but no one called when the new sunglasses arrived. I finally called the store and was told that they were sitting there waiting for me. Really?? Their error and I have to call them to get the status, then drive back to get the right glasses? Obviously customer service isn't a high priority there. I won't go back. read more

I'd recently purchased a new pair of frames from a different optometrist's office, but they weren't fitting well, leaving me in constant pain. I'd gone back to that office to have them readjusted four separate times, but despite their best efforts, nothing seemed to help.
