Never going back! The Dr is great but his staff needs training in customer service. It was the most unfriendly experience. I walked in and two of the staff looked up at me but didn't say a thing, just went back to their conversation. After my exam I looked through the selection of glasses for over 30 minutes without a single word from any of the 4 employees there. I was so humiliated that I asked for my prescription and went straight to Sams where I was treated with kindness and respect. I purchased 3 pair of glasses. read more

The best eye care you can get in Colorado! After going through 20....yes, 20 different eye doctors in Colorado, I found Dr. Shane Johnson at Visionworks in the Park Meadows area. He is by far, the best eye doctor I have ever had! He's very thorough! I highly recommend you see it for yourself...lol.. small pun.."see it for yourself" . I would recommend you go for an exam and you'll see he is very accurate on your eyes. He's truly the best of the best! Their customer service absolutely sucks! U can NEVER reach a human online. They want everybody to go online. Whats happens if, you aren't near a flippin computer. Their pricing is extremely high. Let's just say finding an eye care provider who is close to home and takes my insurance has been a harder task than I thought. That is, until I went to Visionworks! With any type of health establishment there are pro's and con's. Here goes: PRO: The website is easy to navigate and user friendly, all accepted insurances are listed on the main page and anyone is able to make an appointment online! CON: Upon arrival the staff made a major deal that I had made an appointment online, as they didn't have the insurance information on file - despite having a team member call me to verify my insurance. This resulted in a wait time that was a bit long - upwards of 25 minutes to verify my insurance, and enter me into the system. PRO: Parking is a breeze, despite being located near Park Meadows mall! Their lot may be little, but provides ample spots, especially during off-peak times! CON: Weekday afternoon and evening appointments make for a full parking lot, so be prepared to walk. PRO: Ophthalmologists are extremely nice, helpful and do a great job explaining all processes, procedures and will confidently answer any questions. I lucked out with Dr. Johnson, who was friendly, professional and provided great conversation and eye confidence! CON: The ladies on the floor seem a bit overwhelmed, and seem like chickens running around with their heads chopped off. Multiple woman assisted me, along with other patients without finishing one task before moving onto the next. I could hear the women conversing, questioning which patients were back with the doctor, who was still waiting and what had/hadn't been completed with each patient that entered the space. At one point, I was involved in an apparent patient mix up, to which I was called Allison for a good 2 encounters because the woman who had initially assisted me had moved on to someone else waiting. Service seems to be in a bit of disarray, which would explain the frown on the front desk woman's face. Yikes! PRO: Despite all that, Lisa, the woman who eventually checked me out, assisted with me paying and ordering contacts was beyond helpful, friendly and made my experience better than stated above. PRO: Designer frames - everything from Lacoste, Ray Ban, and Nike... - are offered here, at a discounted price! Many frame options are buy one get on free, including sunglasses and if you order contacts AND lenses/frames, you receive 40% off your order! CON: Their frame selection is pretty small and limited. I made the rounds more than once, even looking at men's frames to see which options would best fit my face, style and price range. Despite the few con's, I found just what I was looking for in about an hour's time, and left with a free trial pair of contacts, new contacts ordered and a frame selection I liked. Visionworks checked the boxes of being close to home and taking my insurance (actually owned by Davis Insurance!), which will keep me coming back for all my eye needs. read more

I came in to get new glasses for my son. We had just received horrible news from the ophthalmologist and I thought we could finish the day out by getting him glasses for school. When we arrived no one wanted to help. One person took our prescription to begin looking up the information while we shopped for glasses. Just as we finished making our decision, someone finished with the on-site optometrist and so we were told he had to come first although he had not started even looking at glasses. Finally a different person became available and I thought perhaps we would get to place our order. Alas, someone came out of their appointment with the optometrist again and again we were ignored. No one even cared that we left. We have been coming to this vision work for years for our children. We cannot see an optometrist with my son's new diagnosis so unless we want to be treated horribly and never get good service why would we ever come back? read more

Friendly and helpful staff! The office is very clean and quiet. Dr. Ngo is amazing!! She was happy to answer all my questions thoroughly, and actually took the time to read my paperwork and go over it with me. Terrible customer service. I called two weeks in advance and set up an appointment but when I got there no one had any clue who I was or that I called. The woman I was talking with, older dirty blond, was very demeaning towards me and had doubt in her voice that I even called. I have call logs stating I called and I even wrote down the time and date. She said, even if you did call.... we don't have record of it. They didn't have any available upcoming spots for an emergency appointment. She made me feel very small and degraded. Three times now I have either been canceled on or have been told to show up for an eye exam without anyone knowing about it beforehand. I always get my eye exams and glasses here. They're very helpful in person, and there are a lot of frames to choose from. Good deals, and pretty easy to get in for an appointment. The lady who helped me last time ran the numbers multiple times to see how we could maximize my insurance coverage. Also, shoutout to Andrew, who remembered me from my visit over a year ago. He's the nicest guy. Some constructive criticism, though - they really, really need to work on their phone skills. They do not come across as polite when you call to make an appointment. When they call you, they speak very quickly and do not identify themselves so I never understand who the heck I'm talking to until I put the pieces together on my own a few sentences in. read more

Not impressed at all by the staff in this store. We called this morning and asked if an appointment was necessary. The lady said no just come down. We drove 45 min and then were told we could not get in store for 5 hours. If these people can't handle scheduling customers then I'm not trusting them with my eyes. I went on a Sunday. Apparently they can't verify insurance on a Sunday, but I was confident the cost would be OK since I have vision insurance with United. I chose eye glasses and sun glasses. When I found out the next day that the cost was in excess of $800, I cancelled the whole order. I'm not sure what the moral of the story is, but it might be don't visit the optician on a Sunday. read more

Oh my word, "NO!"!!! I have tried multiple times to give this place an opportunity to earn my business. I went to Visionworks because it was my "go to" eye care place in Utah for many years. This store has to be THE MOST unorganized and unprofessional eye care center I have ever been to. The customer service is horrible. They have gotten my contact prescription request wrong repeatedly and with the exception of one person on staff everyone seems to have a chip on their shoulder about helping customers. Compete waste of time. Visionworks was the only place in the Lone Tree area that had appointments for a Sunday. Now I know why, people just don't want to go there. Filled in all my paperwork online, arrived to a crabby assistant who made me feel like an inconvenience for being there. She couldn't find my details, so made me fill out all the paperwork again. Once it was done, another lady found it in 'the system' after debating how 'they always say they fill it in but never do.' Right before I was due to go in for an eye exam, was told they are out of network for my insurance. Complete waste of time, absolute absence of patient management and uninterested staff. Could easily have recognized my insurance details and called me ahead of time. Selection of frames not all that compelling either. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. read more

I guess since I didn't call in to re-confirm, they booked over it, even though I never called to cancel. They took the person a certain employee seemed familiar with first, even though my appt was made way before. (Maybe bc looking into my insurance took all of 5 min?) During COVID I can't leave the house because I am high risk and I told the lady that and she hung up on me. I had a 3:45 appointment for an eye exam with the intention to order contacts for the first time. I arrived 6 minutes late, stood at the desk, was ignored for 5, finally someone said we'll be right with you. 10 minutes later two other people had said the same so I sat down. There were salespeople at stations trying to upsell people eyeglasses, insurance on their lenses, additional pairs of glasses etc. Finally, after each free person looked over at me, a woman finally walked over with a piece of paper that I needed to fill out. They were out and she had to print it. Apparently, that took 25 minutes. When she walked up to me she said, I noticed you arrived late for your appointment but we will do our best to get you seen. I looked at her and said "WHAT!?" I filled out the form in 1 minute and left it on the check-in desk. No one touched it or looked at me. Ten minutes later I walked out. I made an appointment at an actual eye clinic where hopefully my vision and eye care matter more than upselling people who weren't buying and ignoring appointments. read more

After posting the original review on Yelp, I got a call from the district manager and he apologized for the situation and told me that I was absolutely correct and that he would talk with his employees and make sure that it didn't happen again. He was very friendly and assured me that he would help me out. Therefore I will give them an extra two stars for their customer service. She was showing my daughter frames that were more than double the insurance coverage. When I asked her show us frames closer to the coverage amount she made a rude comment that she was jut trying out sizes. At this point these glasses are pushing towards $100+ with insurance. I just didn't feel like it was a good value or that I was getting good information. Topped off with the terrible customer service was too much. I let Flo know that I was going to look somewhere else and we left. Ended up going to Costco and getting a super cute pair of glasses with amazing customer service. We will never return. read more

Been going here for probably 8 years religiously. Called today to make an appointment for my son to get contacts. FYI, if you're a new contact lens patient and have a day job or are a student you'll need to take time off. They only schedule those appts between 10-4 Monday through Friday. She suggested that I call another Visionworks and see if they'll do it. I called back to speak to a manager, they put me on hold and the same girl picked up. read more

I have gone to this office for awhile now, and have stayed because I like the doctor, but the Customer Service is awful! Avoid Flo at all cost. She has no idea what it means to give good, quality customer service. Each time I am in there, I wait for quite awhile before I'm even addressed. Last night, I went to pick up contacts I'd already paid for. I waited for ten minutes before she even asked what I was there for. When I said "picking up contacts that have been paid for" she told me to take a seat; that I'd have to wait until she attended to all the other customers (five other people standing around waiting as well). She was rude, slow, and couldn't of cared less about the customer waiting for service in the store. I will not be going back, and I'd recommend that you don't go there either. read more
