Where do I start? My frames broke after about 15 months of very light use. So I called the Stanton…read morephone number, which goes to a call center of reps that sound like English is their 2nd language. They had a hard time understanding my issue. Then, every time they tried to transfer me to my local store (in Beavercreek OH) the call would roll to voicemail. After two days of this, and two days of them telling me they've requested someone from the store call me, I was able to get the to give me the store's direct number. I called the store directly around 20 times in two days and was never ever to get someone to pick up. Here's where it really gets good. I finally give up and drive to the store (about 30 miles) just to see if they still carry my frame and how long the warranty lasts. They carry the frame, but the warranty is only for 12 months. After stating my disappointment I'm their service the manager did honor my warranty. That is the ONLY reason I didn't give one star. So, after finding out they had the frames I then had to come back the next day to get my lenses put in the new frames and the glasses fitted to my face. A nice woman started the fitting, then passed my off to a rude man. I would start explaining how I the fit was off, then he'd cut me off and say "yeah, I see what they need... just give them to me". Then he handed me off to a 3rd person. This older man made several comments about how I had a "crooked face" as he made adjustments. To top things off, I check out the phone problem I called their direct line while I was standing near one. The ringers on all of the phones were OFF. A light blinks, then it eventually rolls to the call center. Their voicemail light was also lit with who know how many messages. All in all, I recommend you avoid this place like the plague. The cost savings isn't worth the trouble.

So, let's begin by getting this out of the way. my insurance is through Blue Vision (Eye Med)…read morewhich has fairly restrictive limits and can be less than useful at times, but it's definitely a major provider, right? Right...but it makes it more difficult to be profitable running a shit show, so some don't accept it. Stanton Optical in Beavercreek definitely qualifies as a shit show. First impression when walking in, it felt dirty...the carpet, some of the glasses on the displays were out of place, and there were no other customers in there, what's the excuse for that besides lazy employees? And then we finalized the paperwork on the insurance and they told me they don't accept it, so I inquire why? The answer I received and the manner in which it was delivered was off, and then another person started chiming in with half cocked input that was not required, which was a hard stop. Do not talk down to people like we don't understand how these things work, that's the not issue at hand, is it? This is definitely a business whose model Is predicated on subpar service, operates on bait and switch (read the complaints) and caters to a very specific clientele. Avoid, their low review rating is still too high.

A month into the process I picked up my contacts anyway and asked for an update on my glasses. When a worker checked on my order then she told me they "might" be here sometime next week; I gave it another 2 weeks and then called the store to ask about them again, and apparently they were there in store/ ready and no one notified me. To be honest, I think my order was never fully 'placed' in the first place and the first time I asked about an update is when the store started having them made (due to the timing). Which if that actually is the case, I would've preferred to know what was going on. When I finally did pick up my glasses one of the employees apologized saying he's "not sure how that happened" but suggested it was because I ordered 2 pairs of glasses (which I didn't) and then said it could've been because I ordered contacts in the order as well. What would that have to do with when the glasses come in? It's annoying to be gaslit about the mix-up as if it was a normal thing for them to take 2 months to get them to me. Facts are, this store doesn't communicate well with their customers or follow up on orders. This location seems disorganized/ overall not very knowledgeable.

I decided to pay out of pocket and go to LensCrafters. Haven't been to a LensCrafters since I was in High school. A coworker told me to go to Stanton Optical but they were only rated a 1.5! You do get what you pay for! Went to LensCrafters in Fairfield Commons Mall due to the reviews! Was met at the door and person that assisted me was very polite, knowledgeable and looked up my insurance. My insurance paid half which is better than nothing and the process was so easy and no hassle. Got my glasses in one week and again was greeted at the door and assisted to try on my new glasses. Have had them a few days and absolutely love them! I can finally see clearly and got all the transition, bifocals, blue'ing and scratch protection. No hassle and great service! They have a new customer for life!

Immediately I was told they couldn't find the paperwork, nuthing was saved from the first visit, they (at first) couldn't tell who actually took care of me...bla, bla, bla! Of course the ole bait and switch showed itself for the second time . They pulled the same scam on me last time we did buisness with them. Further, I requested a call from the manager and of course they failed to call...couldn't care less about their customer. Pitiful customer service, will not honor their own proposals. Can't wait to share my experience (again) with the Beavercreek Ohio Lenscrafters. They added roughly 250.00 on the glasses I selected. BEWARE OF THE BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING!!!

I had previously discussed this with Dr. Lutes trying one eye first, then finding out I did need the other eye to enhance reading. I called the office and spoke with "John". He was very personable with one of the nicest personalities anyone could want.
