The customer service is poor at this location. I waited for thirty minutes for an associate to even acknowledge my presence in the store when looking for glasses. Only received help once I asked for a supervisor because no one had asked me if I wanted or needed help. Spent over 1000 dollars just to be treated poorly when it was time to pick up my glasses I had to call both times to see if they were ready for pickup. The first pair I picked up the guy acted as if I was bothering him when I asked to be fitted to the new glasses. Then when I called for the second pair to see if they were ready the girl who answered said yes we sent you a message on the 30th. I advised her I received no messages or calls telling me my glasses were ready and she said well I can send it now an I replied there is no reason to send it now if you gave me confirmation that they are ready now an she just hung up in my face . I will never use this lens craters location again. I spent too much money to be treated so disrespectfully. read more

Found out I had glaucoma last August 2023 and laser eye surgery. My private optometrist office said my insurance wouldn't pay for another pair of glasses even though I was not seeing clearly on the computer at my job. I decided to pay out of pocket and go to LensCrafters. Haven't been to a LensCrafters since I was in High school. A coworker told me to go to Stanton Optical but they were only rated a 1.5! You do get what you pay for! Went to LensCrafters in Fairfield Commons Mall due to the reviews! Was met at the door and person that assisted me was very polite, knowledgeable and looked up my insurance. My insurance paid half which is better than nothing and the process was so easy and no hassle. Got my glasses in one week and again was greeted at the door and assisted to try on my new glasses. Have had them a few days and absolutely love them! I can finally see clearly and got all the transition, bifocals, blue'ing and scratch protection. No hassle and great service! Was originally at Sunglass Hut but they were unable to help me and pointed me in the direction of this LensCrafters where they actually had what I needed despite it being a less common screw for my frame. Quality lens and frames last me for years. I went cheap got two pairs for half as much and they sucked. They were scratched and falling apart in less than a year and YES I am careful with my sun glasses and regular glasses. You get what you pay for just like always. read more

I like my glasses! Eye exam was thorough and professional. Eye glasses selection smaller than I'd like. Some of the younger employees aren't as good at helping to select frames based on features (spring hinges!) or style. They are also less likely to help guide your choice. Manager was phenomenal- encouraged a larger lens size due to intended glasses use, helped to get a good fit when glasses arrived. I've used this place several years and I keep going back. I also order glasses off the internet- different company- that aren't as nice but are good for backups and less expensive. My LensCrafters glasses are usually my favorite though. Older employees appear to be more involved, more helpful, more intuitive. Perhaps that's because their eyes are as old as mine so they understand more of what I need. Good store. read more

All of us want a bargain - but with some items - you get what you pay for. Having a strong prescription and needing progressive lenses, it was important I get a quality product so I headed back to the Fairfield Mall LensCrafters as a return customer. My last pair of glasses from there have lasted 6 years (Ralph Lauren) - and my sunglasses (Ray Ban) are still perfect. This visit, I ordered my glasses on a Saturday and got the call saying they'd arrived the following Wednesday. I'm so happy with them - just as before! One note - I cannot say enough about the great help given to me by Judy! She offered an opinion on frame shape when I asked, pointed out differences I hadn't noticed between the different frames, and made me really happy with the sale prices on both the lenses and frames! Pretty much a rip off on eye exams. Don't go here. Trust me. I'm 6 months out from my exam and they refused to give me my prescription to use elsewhere and claim I now need a new contact fitting (mine was done 6 months ago). Not cool. Shoppers beware, unless you care for yearly exams. Although I believe Dr. Su gives great prescriptions, a sales associate working at the Lenscrafters Fairfield Commons Mall lied about the Ohio Patient Prescription Policy Law to try to get me to make another prescription appointment. I came into the store looking to drop up to $250 + my insurance on some cool new prescription sunglasses with my prescription from February 2015, however, the sales associate said my eyeglass prescription was only good for one year. I clarified he did not mean it was for contacts. He said the state law was "one year of expiration for glasses" and he couldn't help me, or he'd be "breaking the law." That didn't seem right to me. All my other prescriptions lasted two years. When I got home, I looked it up and sure enough, it wasn't true. Ohio state law says "Spectacle prescriptions may be expired at the end of two years under normal circumstances unless medical reasons would prohibit the release." (http://optometry.ohio.gov/prescription.stm) At the time of my prescription, I was a 30-something year old healthy person in a good weight range. I have no medical problems, not even cholesterol. I have exceptional health. So I am clearly confused why this store refused to help me. I have a demanding job with overtime hours, and don't have time to make eye exam appointments. I wanted some instant gratification shopping, and I'd been looking forward to getting these prescription sunglasses for months. I called and asked for an explanation and was told "Dr. Su makes all her glasses prescriptions expire in a year." That means she is not taking into account "normal circumstances." I do not agree with her policy. Although I think she is a great optometrist, this practice of having all prescriptions end at one year regardless of normal health is against the law. This shouldn't happen. I'll be looking into other options. read more

My first visit was for new glasses and contacts. My experience with Dr Su was unsettling. During my exam she spoke very rapidly, making it difficult to understand her. What most upset me was that she grew very impatient with me choosing which slide I could see better and would actually start offering guided answers/suggestions! I am the patient, I know what I can see better and what I cannot. I do not want a prescription based off what someone else thinks unless they can actually see through my eyes. Despite that, Dr Su is a really great doctor. She felt bad that I had ran out of contacts months before and handed me a trial to walk out with. I also liked that this place had my glasses ready in an hour. The gentleman that fit me for the glasses did an excellent job. I wish I had his name. I do know of a Michael and I haven't quite made up my mind about him, but I can share my experiences. After I received the call that my other contact trials came in I went to the office to pick them up. I stood at the counter for several minutes and Michael comes up to assist me. I tell him I am there to pick up my contacts and he said ok go have a seat, I'll have one of the techs get them for you. He goes off and does something and then comes back to the waiting area where I'm sitting and asks me for my name. As I am telling him he's opening a drawer and pulls out my contact trials and hands them to me. I sign a paper and that was literally all it took. I don't know if one of the "techs" that was supposed to help me was busy and told him to do that or he was not truthful in the beginning. Since I don't know the inside details I won't make any judgements on him just yet. He was very helpful and friendly during my first visit. Now this leads me to my next incident. I am given the wrong trials. Dr Su gave me 2 week contacts to try at my first appointment and I was waiting on the monthly ones to be shipped and those are what I thought I was picking up. Instead they were just the exact same ones I had already experimented with. I told Michael this and he is just concerned with the paperwork that indicated what I was supposed to have. He referred to it again and made it a point to say, "I was right". That statement gets on my nerves when someone in customer service says that. So it doesn't seem like the office staff is on the same page which is a turn off. I did call in though and explain this to him again and he straight away asked for my name and number. It is polite to tell someone why you're asking for their info FIRST. I used to be in customer service and it is proper to say something like, "Oh I am so sorry ma'am. We will have to look into this for you. What is the phone number you can be reached back at." Doing it the way he did sets up false expectations because I thought he was looking my account up or something. Disappointed to find out no, he was just getting someone to call me back. I received the phone call in less than 30 minutes later which was great and they are going to call me in a few days when my monthly trail is in! This office has its pros and cons. I haven't decided if I am going to go back to them or not. read more

My issue is with the front desk staff members. The girl I spoke with was EXTREMELY rude for no reason. She called to confirm an apportionment and questioned me about insurance. I had not been here in years, my insurance had changed so the one they had on file was no active. She got attitude with me because of this and questioned me if I was even on any insurance. Then was clearly annoyed because she had to get my ID number and then questioned me about my husbands insurance. We are on a family plan so our ID numbers are the same. She then got upset with me because that meant she had to look his up with the number as well. I am not sure why this was all such a big deal and why I was getting attitude for just providing my information that is needed in order to get proper eye care. read more

Dr. Su was the reason I chose lenscrafters. She had high recommendations and reviews. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. My insurance did not cover her eye exam, but the price was decent without it. My insurance was good on the glasses and sunglasses purchased. Glasses were made in under 1 hour. Everyone was friendly, fast, and efficient. Love my glasses a lot. Will be going back in the future. read more

Visited Lenscrafters in the Fairfield Commons Mall because I had knocked a lens out of a specialized pair of surgical loupes and broken the plastic wire which locked it into the frame. I wasn't sure it could be repaired at all, but a lady working there was able to fix it for me in just a few minutes! read more

A store of inconvenience that's losing a ton of business because the eye doctor isn't available unless you're okay with an appointment 5-7 days out. Or you could go with their tease and check back a few times a day and hope for a cancellation...which I fell for and which never happened. They could double their business at this store if they had an on-demand eye exam along with appointments for those who can't wait that day. Oh, and if you're ten minutes late you have to re-schedule for 5-7 more days out so don't be late, naughty person. Not worth the inconvenience that I went through only to turn around and head back to the office. Fifty minutes round trip. Angry and frustrated. Also, keep in mind the people are on commission so they're going to do everything they can to charge you as much as possible and confuse you with this sale and that sale and none of them work with the other and this one's for lenses, but you have to pay at least x for the frames or this sale is on frames, but only on one pair and that sale is for sun glasses only or kids glasses only or what the #$%@!. And who knows what, if any of the sales, work with your eye insurance...which I don't have. $700+ eye exam for a pair of glasses and a pair of sun glasses. ???? If you are having a sale that's 40% off (last month it was 50% off) and two pair of glasses where one frame is $110 ($55 on-line per google search) and the other frame is $69.95, leaving the lenses costing $520.05, then the starting price of the lenses is $800!!!!!! If you walk in this place stupid you're going to pay a stupid amount of money. It's all about the marketing. 40% or 50% off means NOTHING because the prices seem to be marked up 100% before that sale even happens. Awful, awful, awful experience. Wasted my time twice going to this store and now I'm sitting here wasting my time ranting about it...maybe because I had a 25 minute ride back to think about it! The employees are really nice. I feel bad for the employees being forced to lose customers and losing business and their huge commissions because the eye doctor is 5-7 days behind. But, hey, the company is obviously making money so who am I, but a lowly customer. And they have really nice looking frames. Too bad I won't be wearing them. read more

I came in around 10 months ago looking for a pair of glasses. I spoke with an associate who told me that there was a promotion going on that she could still get for me even though they were not advertising it. We set everything up, she put everything in the system, and I selected the frames I wanted, however I started to consider buying second pair, however it was getting close to closing time, so I told her that I would come back the next day and purchase the glasses. She told me that she would put everything into the system and then all I need to do was give them my name the next day and the promotion would apply. I came in, and one of the managers helped me. She pulled up my info, and I told her what the associate had quoted me, and even showed her the paper that the associate wrote the amounts on. She was not customer service oriented at all, she said I dont know how the other associate who helped me the day before was giving me the glasses for that price, that she wouldn't be able to give me that same pricing. I asked her that why did the other associate tell me that price? She said she didnt know, and she became very rude with me, even though I was being nice and was not getting mad. She basically told me that she had to see other customers and that if I wanted the glasses it would be $100 more. I left and went to the Miamisburg store, and they were able to get me the same original pricing with a much friendlier attitude. Thumbs WAY down for the beavercreek store - go to the Miamisburg one at all costs, much better customer service and a nice new building. read more
