Visited Opium with a group work colleagues, we had the set group menu which consisted of sharing starters, a choice of main courses and dessert or a glass of prosecco.
For started we chose one of everything on the menu, which was great as we got to sample a little of everything. The spring rolls & chicken satay skewers for me were the best. For mains I had the Shaken Beef with noodles. This came highly recommended from a colleague who had been here previously. I was not disappointed, it was yummy. Beef was tender and cooked in a delicious soya glaze, not overly spicy or downed in a thick sauce. Good selection of stir fried veg, the noodles were cooked perfectly and not at all stodgy.
I chose to have a glass of prosecco instead of dessert. With this I was slightly disappointed as it was definitely a cheap prosecco they were dishing out.
Some of our group had the Chocolate Brownie which looked amazing.
Overall the atmosphere was great for groups and the food was good. read more
