    Ahi katsu plate

It seems I can no longer visit Waimea Valley without having lunch here after, and I'm not complaining- the food here goes so hard I practically have no choice. Everything I've gotten has been gorgeously vibrant with colorful veggies and hot crispy proteins, and it's just nice to sit and people watch while refueling after volunteering or walking all morning. You can't go wrong with the plate lunches, and the sandwiches have also been killer- I loved the veggie one I tried last trip, and their seasoned fries are properly crispy! Will be coming by forsure with every Waimea visit at this rate of deliciousness. FYI there is a kamaʻāina discount but you may have to ask for it.

Pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food within this "touristy" spot. We got the shoyu chicken and the veggie burger with fries. The fries were perfectlyyy crispy. Everything was yummy! Service was great as well!

Loved the coffee, it was a perfect pregame to the hike to Waimea falls and the botanical garden. We got the matcha and Ube latte which was a refreshing wake up call. The staff were really nice and the drinks were out within 10 minutes. The specialty drinks were really interesting.

Burger combo (they forgot the fries; got it after informing them of mistake). Salty burger. Good with beer.

Not bad! Really surprised that they had simple spam musubi to a gourmet beet salad that was reasonably priced for the amount. I would eat that refreshing beet salad again! Also, the bar right next to it is typical $8 per beer to $12-16 mixed drinks for those that need the cool down after the long trek back. Shared a beef burger with zuchinni. Didnʻt expect the zuchinni to be deep fried battered zuchinni. Thought would be grilled so that was disappointing and the patty was salty. Washed it down with beer which made it delish. Ahi fish burger is tasty! Chicken plate- meh. Loved the kope cafe on right.

I was expecting meh food but it was quite good. The chicken and fries were tasty and went quickly. Also appreciated that they had an unsweetened tea option for drinks. Tad slow service but I am on island time so all good.

We grabbed some food here on the way out after walking through to Waimea Falls. It smelled so good and the hurricane fries caught my eye. They have plenty of seating but we took it to-go instead. There was a sign on the window to request any utensils or bags. When our food was ready, I asked if we could get a bag since I didn't want anything to spill during our drive and he just said he couldn't give us a bag. No idea why, or maybe they were out of bags, but I thought it was an odd response. Hurricane fries were delicious! The actual fries were cooked nicely and I loved the sauce on top with the furikake. If only they had the option to add meat, it would be a perfect meal. We also ordered the garlic shrimp plate. It was a bit light in flavor and not enough garlic but adding the spicy sambal sauce was good. I even used some of the sauce for the fries. The menu said it came with pickled veggies but it was just a regular tossed salad.

We stopped here to use the restroom and grab some hot beverages before continuing our drive around the island. It was a rainy, chilly day in Hawaii so hot coffee and tea sounded perfect. Hale Kope caught our eye, particularly their cardamom lavender syrup. I chose black tea with the cardamom syrup and my mom had a coffee. The syrup was so good and flavorful. We both enjoyed our drinks. They had great flavor and were served at a good temperature. Plus there was no line when we arrived and the employees are friendly. It was quick, easy, and affordable to grab warm up with a delicious beverage. We recommend this establishment to others!

On this visit, we got a full spread! We got a box of all of the things and it didn't disappoint. I was so excited to choose all kinds of pastries for my box. At this point, everything is already in my tummy and I've already crossed memory lane, so I can't tell you the names of every pastry but what I can tell you is take the scenic drive. Check out the businesses you normally wouldn't have stopped by. Visit the Yelp page. Look at recommendations from fellow Yelpers! When I'm curious of a place and I'm not convinced yet, I always go to Yelp to see what the people have to say and the people love the pastries here for good reason. This place has some good pastries. I would come back just to satisfy the sweet tooth again. I will say, leave the snow puffs for enjoying when you're not in your vehicle unless you're okay with a mess lol

First, I have always loved north shore and never found the drive to be cumbersome so the location is perfect. The Snow Puppy was divine! The flakes and powdered sugar are out of control once you bite into it so best not to eat it in your car. lol I absolutely loved their bread pudding. This is the first time I have tried bread pudding with a crust that I can honestly say complimented the texture of the bread pudding. I highly recommend you show this business some love and support!

We happened in to HI Pie and were surprised to discover such a hidden gem. I ordered the chicken pot pie which was $13 (reasonably priced for a handmade fresh mini pie). The cafe is well designed, clean and not crowded, so we didn't even have to wait in a line. I'm so excited to return and can't wait to try some of their drinks - the matcha latte looked promising I think they use Ami Mei matcha, chocolate chip cookies and other sweet flavors of pie. Added bonus: parking was also super easy, they have a lot in the back!

Sorry babe, we don't share HI-Pie Pineapple Cream Pie no more. I recommend anyone trying it get your own. The Pot Pie was easily the best Pot Pie we've ever had - seasoned perfectly, creamy, and the crust was flakey on the outside with a little heart cutout on top making it enjoyable for our toddler to eat. Cute little bakery located in Haleiwa. Plenty of parking behind the bakery. - Recommended for both the Pot Pie and Pineapple Cream Pie. - Not recommend to share the pie - be greedy, eat your own, lick the plate
