Loved the coffee, it was a perfect pregame to the hike to Waimea falls and the botanical garden. We got the matcha and Ube latte which was a refreshing wake up call. The staff were really nice and the drinks were out within 10 minutes. The specialty drinks were really interesting.

Pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food within this "touristy" spot. We got the shoyu chicken and the veggie burger with fries. The fries were perfectlyyy crispy. Everything was yummy! Service was great as well!

Burger combo (they forgot the fries; got it after informing them of mistake). Salty burger. Good with beer.

Not bad! Really surprised that they had simple spam musubi to a gourmet beet salad that was reasonably priced for the amount. I would eat that refreshing beet salad again! Also, the bar right next to it is typical $8 per beer to $12-16 mixed drinks for those that need the cool down after the long trek back. Shared a beef burger with zuchinni. Didnʻt expect the zuchinni to be deep fried battered zuchinni. Thought would be grilled so that was disappointing and the patty was salty. Washed it down with beer which made it delish. Ahi fish burger is tasty! Chicken plate- meh. Loved the kope cafe on right.

I was expecting meh food but it was quite good. The chicken and fries were tasty and went quickly. Also appreciated that they had an unsweetened tea option for drinks. Tad slow service but I am on island time so all good.

We grabbed some food here on the way out after walking through to Waimea Falls. It smelled so good and the hurricane fries caught my eye. They have plenty of seating but we took it to-go instead. There was a sign on the window to request any utensils or bags. When our food was ready, I asked if we could get a bag since I didn't want anything to spill during our drive and he just said he couldn't give us a bag. No idea why, or maybe they were out of bags, but I thought it was an odd response. Hurricane fries were delicious! The actual fries were cooked nicely and I loved the sauce on top with the furikake. If only they had the option to add meat, it would be a perfect meal. We also ordered the garlic shrimp plate. It was a bit light in flavor and not enough garlic but adding the spicy sambal sauce was good. I even used some of the sauce for the fries. The menu said it came with pickled veggies but it was just a regular tossed salad.

We stopped here to use the restroom and grab some hot beverages before continuing our drive around the island. It was a rainy, chilly day in Hawaii so hot coffee and tea sounded perfect. Hale Kope caught our eye, particularly their cardamom lavender syrup. I chose black tea with the cardamom syrup and my mom had a coffee. The syrup was so good and flavorful. We both enjoyed our drinks. They had great flavor and were served at a good temperature. Plus there was no line when we arrived and the employees are friendly. It was quick, easy, and affordable to grab warm up with a delicious beverage. We recommend this establishment to others!

The guava, peach, and green tea flavors were our favorites. The shaved ice was strong and balanced without tasting artificial. It tastes great with the smooth vanilla ice cream and honestly, this place has the best mochi we've ever had. It's not just about the shaved ice. The price is unbeatable, great ambience with cute little chickens roaming around this atmospheric little city and their friendly shopkeepers. You would need a car to get to this place though since it's very north of the island. Park behind the building. The line moves very very fast so don't worry and just do it, you won't regret it.

There's a menu posted near the entrance, which made ordering easy while waiting in line. We ended up going with the large Green Tea Special and the large Tropical flavor combination. Watching the shave ice get assembled along the prep line was part of the fun, and there was plenty of outdoor seating nearby to enjoy everything afterward. Green Tea Special (5/5): Surprisingly one of my favorites. The matcha flavor was strong and earthy, pairing perfectly with the sweetness of the condensed milk, the chewy mochi, azuki bean paste, and subtle nuttiness from the kinako powder. A really well-balanced dessert. Tropical Combination (4/5): Includes lilikoi, guava, and mango. The guava stood out the most with the strongest flavor, while the lilikoi was more subtle. The mango tasted more citrusy, almost orange-like, than expected, but still refreshing overall. Overall, a great shave ice spot that lives up to the hype. There's also a connected gift shop afterward with plenty of fun souvenirs to browse through.

We happened in to HI Pie and were surprised to discover such a hidden gem. I ordered the chicken pot pie which was $13 (reasonably priced for a handmade fresh mini pie). The cafe is well designed, clean and not crowded, so we didn't even have to wait in a line. I'm so excited to return and can't wait to try some of their drinks - the matcha latte looked promising I think they use Ami Mei matcha, chocolate chip cookies and other sweet flavors of pie. Added bonus: parking was also super easy, they have a lot in the back!

Sorry babe, we don't share HI-Pie Pineapple Cream Pie no more. I recommend anyone trying it get your own. The Pot Pie was easily the best Pot Pie we've ever had - seasoned perfectly, creamy, and the crust was flakey on the outside with a little heart cutout on top making it enjoyable for our toddler to eat. Cute little bakery located in Haleiwa. Plenty of parking behind the bakery. - Recommended for both the Pot Pie and Pineapple Cream Pie. - Not recommend to share the pie - be greedy, eat your own, lick the plate

We decided to finally try a different shave ice place this time since north shore has so many places. Parking was in the same lot as the food truck park that has surf and salsa which is normally really crowded during lunch hours, we came around 2:30 so it wasn't too bad but might be difficult if you come at a busier time. They hand make all of their syrups with real fruit and you can definitely tell! We got mango and coconut with banana ice cream and omg the syrups were so much better than every other shave ice place we've had. The consistency was a lot thicker than the usual liquid syrup which made it a lot more flavorful. The coconut syrup was almost like a cream that tasted just like haupia. The banana ice cream was also insanely good, my husband talked about how good the ice cream was the whole drive home haha. The ice was also really fine and smooth. The shop has the cutest outdoor seating in the back right along the water which was so peaceful and shady. Super high quality shave ice and chill laid back vibes. Our new favorite shave ice place for sure!
