BLT

We didn't expect this to be as good as it was! Situated in a rural area near an orchard and a BP station, this is a comfortable open dining room setting and very friendly service. We started with a full "foot" of onion rings. They have to be the best I've ever had. Huge slices of battered fried onions served with ranch dressing. Delicious! My huge black bean burger was accompanied by local made apple sauce (Mott's doesn't hold a candle to this). My husband had the BLT with slaw. His sandwich was huge and delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant visit on a gorgeous sunny day.

Was recommended to come here by our fishing guide. It is a family-friendly place, friendly and prompt service from our waitress. The food was amazing fish was everything I expected after having an ok experience with fish somewhere else this place is awesome also the fried asparagus was something I didn't even know I needed in my life. Great food and service experience.

Chicken strips

Great home cooked meal to warm your inside and fill you up. My favorite is the homemade goulash. I decided to try something different today. Chicken strips were yummy! Not the frozen stuff. Husband had the Prime Rib and reported the same yumminess. Service is hit or miss. Today we had a great server!

The service was terrible and the food was not very good. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money here.

Easy eating at this small road side diner with quick service and the whole diner vibe from food to…read moreservice. Things we love to find and portions are of epic proportions Biscuits and gravy half portion is two biscuits with a huge slather of white country sausage gravy. French toast is either thin slice or thick, always go thick. Good bacon.

I visited The Golden Eatery recently and had one of the worst customer-service experiences I've…read moreever had in a restaurant. Our group was polite, seated normally, and just trying to order breakfast. Despite that, the staff treated several people in our group with open hostility. Questions were met with irritation, curt responses, and visible annoyance. At one point staff raised their voices at members of our party for no reason other than asking basic menu questions. The atmosphere immediately shifted from "small town diner" to "you're not welcome here," and the way they singled out members of our group was so unnecessarily confrontational that it made everyone uncomfortable. We hadn't done anything to cause a problem--yet we were spoken to rudely, stared down, and made to feel like we needed to leave. The experience was nearly identical to what other customers have described publicly. Food matters, but how you treat people matters more. Based on the way we were spoken to and the unprovoked hostility toward our group, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. After such a bad experience i researched this location and the owner is allegedly paying minors under the table to work for them in such a hostile environment.

The owner is a friendly Scottish lady who gave us great recommendations and even had us in tears laughing when one in our party couldn't take the clue they had ran out of tater tot's for the day. The food all came hot and fresh! I'm a basic guy and opted for the bacon and eggs. I really enjoyed my meal and the overall ambience of this small town diner. They have fresh brewed iced tea as well. We will for sure be back when visiting the area for her humor and the amazing food.

Jackson waited on us and a young lady joined in to make sure we were happy and didn't need anything. We both had the "Papa" which was: 3 eggs, sausage patties (3, links also an option) and 3 of their Fabulous pancakes. My friend added blueberries and I stayed classic. They were large, fluffy on the inside and crispy edges which made them so good. Nice 'scoop' of fresh, whipped butter and maple syrup. I Highly recommend you try this local business that's defining the classic diner with style. The place was clean and neat, looking freshly painted.
