A solid, reliable convention centre…read more I don't get out to this venue nearly often enough, but my experiences with the Waterside Inn have always been fantastic. I came out here a couple days ago for a press conference and was once again impressed by the experience. The decor is clean and well-maintained, and there were a horde of servers on-hand after the event to dole out hors d'oeurves, including bruschetta, egg rolls, skewers with beef, cheese and peppers (so good) and more. The staff were all very helpful and directed people where they needed to go, and the conference went off without a hitch. Definitely a great place in the village if you're looking to host an event. Recommended.

Marlene did an amazing job with coordinating everything we wanted and hoped for our wedding. She was able to provide us with different options that worked out better for our guests and ourselves. The place looked amazing on our big day. The staff did a wonderful job making sure our guests were well taken care of. The food was great (nothing was brought out cold ) and their house wine was delicious. The price was a bit expensive (ie we had to provide our own head table and chair decorations/ back drops and lighting) however at the end you really do get what you pay for. Overall I was very happy with everything the hotel had to offer on my very special day!

Unfortunately, they don't usually serve a ridiculously cheap lunch, like many Legion Halls do, unless there's a special event. HOWEVER, what they DO have is a Saturday Afternoon Jam, every Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with solid little Mississauga band "Redder", and your chance to bring your instrument and hop up on stage to perform, and possibly be the next Mississauge Idol! OK, that's not a thing, but you will at least get a nice round of applause from all the friendly enthusiastic Legion members ;) The beer is cheap, the music is good, and the patio is open. What more could you ask for? You need to join the legion!

I came here because someone we were with swore by it…read more Interior of the restaurant was dimly lit. A few tables. A giant illuminated decorative tree of some kind took up a lot of space. Also anyone pulling into the parking lot is sure to blind you with their headlights so maybe best to pick a seat away from the windows. We ordered the Adonis entrée, the Chicken Shawarma entrée, Lamb Souvlaki entrée, a Shish Kafta entrée and a few Lentil soups. All of the entrees came with the same Rice, Potatoes and Greek Salad. The Lamb was cooked well, and for $30+ it better be. Chicken Souvlaki was drenched in sauce so of course it tasted good. The Kafta was AWFUL. So dry and bland. Every bite was making my mouth dry. What a bummer. The Lentil soup was ok but I feel like it didn't taste as authentic as other places I have been. It could have used more spices. The potatoes that came with the meals were just ok. They didn't taste good or bad. However the rice that came with the meals was bland and tasteless. No saffron or anything. Literally around the corner from this place is a restaurant called Sidra and it serves waaaaaaay better Shawarma, Lentil Soup, Kafta (tikka), and their meals come with amazingly flavorful rice and garlic potatoes. With such a better place nearby I don't know why you would come here instead.

Adonis is by far my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in town; much better than Monfort and Agabi in my opinion. Usually I come here for one thing, and one thing only; the Adonis Schwarma on a pita. It is quite similar to the Monfort Chicken on a Pita served at Monfort, but with one brilliant addition - BACON. You get seasoned chicken breast, pineapple, garlic sauce, your choice of a wholewheat or white pita, and the option to have it prepared spicy, plus BACON. Delicious! Additionally, the portion size is larger than at Monfort's, and I prefer the taste of the garlic sauce at Adonis. The service at Adonis is super friendly. You can tell that it is family owned and operated as it is the same staff working whenever I visit. You also know it is good service if every time you leave walking away thinking that the waitress is flirting with you. Me and my friends all feel this way, which is a good way to leave a restaurant. If anything, it does take a while to prepare your order, so I usually call ahead and take it to go. Overall, I highly recommend Adonis. It loses one star for the wait times, but it is certainly one of Oakville's best hidden jewels!
