Came here for winterlicious, we ordered spice red lentil soup and grilled black beans tofu skewers as starter, cauliflower steak and sticky northern pork rib for main, coconut molabi and grilled pineapple with cardamom sundae for desert. The red lentil soup is very good, spice but not hot! Black bean tofu skewer cooked just right, crunchy but not chewy. The cauliflower was boiled then grilled, so texture is much tender and better than cooked/grilled from raw, I didn't taste the pork as I am pesco vegetarian, my wife confirmed that taste was good too. The desserts were excellent, especially the coconut molabi, beautiful playing and fantastic taste. The only thing I think needs to improve was the espresso, the coffee bean seems under roasted. Service was excellent a

This place is sooo welcoming! Very nice open space featuring a patio! The hostess was nice along with our waiter. We ordered 2 appetizers deviled eggs & the crab ragoon dip, both were great choices! Our main entrees did take a long while to come out & I will admit I got a little "hangry" lol but I maintained my composure. Our waiter was very apologetic about our wait & constantly reassured us that our food would be out shortly. Our main entrees were "crispy duck wings", "Korean Undon Carbonara" & "Burger Royale & Fries" everything was delicious! I would've given 5 stars if our wait wasn't forever. ALSO the drinks are great!!

Beef Tataki

The Diplomat is a great addition to Hamilton's King William Street food scene. The restaurant is a beautiful space that is tastefully decorated with modern fixtures and furnishings. They have an open kitchen with a chefs table and that's exactly where I wanted to be seated - I always love restaurants with open kitchens! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed and the menu has something for everyone. We ordered a few different dishes including: Popcorn Chicken Beef Tataki Oxtail fried rice And the Good Advise Cocktail Great place for date night or dinner with friends!

Tried out this fancy new restaurant. We only tried their snacks and cocktail. Devil eggs are good. Love the cute interior and comfy sofa.

1 extra star for opening their patio seating on a rare sunny warm day in early March!…read more We came for a pre-concert dinner and the establishment is well-versed in handling the uptake of crowds during this time. We shared the pork entrée for two and ordered an extra side of truffle fries. For a two person entrée, the quantity is on the light side. However, it is just enough if both people are light eaters. Would definitely order an additional dish if you would like a more substantial meal. That being said, the pork was done perfectly, and we really liked the spetzel on the side.

Yes the price is pretty high but I love supporting local (and my bday coincided with the Ontario Big Spend, to help stimulate local buying in COVID). Everything comes out looking absolutely gorgeous on stoneware and fun plating styles that flow right with the atmosphere. The atmosphere is very hipster chic and all the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Also fantastic COVID protocol and safety while we were there. I think our waiter could have brought a little more energy but he was great overall! Started with some fun drinks and loved that the wine menu was at least half local selection! Came quick as well with pitchers of plain water and sparkling water. Started with calamari and Burrata platter. Calamari was delicious and came with both aioli and seafood sauce with arugula and lemon, loved it! Large pieces and perfectly cooked. The Burrata stole the show with a huge fresh ball over crisp and sweet cantaloupe and prosciutto with hot peppers and delicious fresh basil.... could have definitely ate that whole plate as my dinner. Truffle fries to share: fantastic shoestring cut with Parmesan and truffle with fresh scallions, crispy goodness! Beet salad: beautiful presentation and loaded with gorgeous beets, walnuts, roasted veggies and maple vinaigrette. Good earth power bowl: for the veggie lovers this one has it all! And is also pretty allergen friendly with greens, raw broccoli, vibrant purple cabbage, avocado, grapefruit, roasted crispy chickpeas, pine nuts, nutritional yeast, and toasted coconut flakes with lemon tahini dressing. I enjoyed this fresh and crisp bowl but I think it could have used more zing in the dressing. Pasta Special: thumb print pasta with salty venison sausages, sweet peppers, greens, salt/pepper and cheese. A tad salty but beautiful and fresh! Oysters: fresh and delicious with Parmesan and 3 sauces (hot, seafood, red wine vinegar) Cedar salmon: beautifully grilled cedar planked salmon with so much flavour from the maple bourbon glaze. Came with a tiny portion of veggies but the also a side, we choose the mashed potatoes which WERE DA BOMB! Could just eat those tbh.... Caesar salad: the most gorgeous! I didn't try but came with fresh crisp romaine, Parmesan crisps, crispy pork belly, poached egg, fresh croutons, and a full sardine to top it off! Dessert: no bake raspberry cheesecake, this was complimentary for the bday and we all split it. Delicious raspberry jam on light cheesecake filling with white chocolate and a thick graham crumb. Well done radius! Making local sexy AF!

The sheer amount of preparation and planning involved is something that even the most Type A of personalities even drive themselves crazy with. We had an absolute pleasure working with Dianna Savelli and the rest of the Scottish Rite Club team for our wedding on October 2016. With my husband living in Toronto and myself in Chicago, Dianna made it easy for us to correspond with one another through email, Skype and phone conversations. It never felt like we were planning an entire wedding from a distance nor did it ever feel like we were taking too much on our plate. The structure of their wedding packages make everything so simple and easy that you simply just have to speak your dreams and it will come to life My husband, our families, our friends and I cannot stop raving about this day. Yes, nearly four months later and we cannot stop thinking about all the perfections that came to fruition and how we couldn't have done it without the help and guidance of Dianna and her staff. While I know Dianna has moved onto other ventures outside the Scottish Rite, the staff here has always been courteous and ready to go above and beyond their call of duty to make sure your day will be just right. Pricing? It is on par with a wedding of this caliber, you will pay money, but you will have the best day, the best food, the best wedding ceremony and reception you could every have imagined. Thank you so much for making our day something we will remember for a lifetime and beyond. We love you guys.

I paid $65 to attend a weeknight event that was a dinner followed by an accounting presentation…read more All tickets for the event had to be bought in advance so they knew exactly how many guests there would be. I arrived before the presentation started to find that the staff had closed the kitchen and thrown out the rest of the food. So if you are unfortunate enough to have to go to Scottish Rite, and can't come early, which is likely, because they also lied about there being any sort of available parking anywhere, which will leave you to circle the neighbourhood for half an hour before you can leave your car anywhere, skip going through the front door and just head out to the backyard dumpster to look for the dinner you paid for.

I picked this months ago and after our experience, we were pretty satisfied overall. Our room was nice and spacious enough for the two of us. We had a queen bed and also a sofa that could be converted into a mattress from inside if needed. We also had a little kitchenette and full fridge which I was impressed by. We didn't use it during our quick stay but it was nice to have everything if we needed it. Breakfast was very nice actually. Since we stayed on the weekend, the hours were from 7:30-10:30 am. Food selection had alot of variety and there was always an attendant manning the area and greeting people. It was clean and accessible with many places to sit in the breakfast area. There were many rooms occupied on our floor, we could hear them when we were walking in the hall but not from our room. So I'm glad we weren't situated right next to any neighbors for our stay. All the staff and everyone we came in contact with were friendly, helpful, and professional. The only thing for me was that the fan was quite loud at times when I made the room cooler. It wasn't a white noise, "easy on the ears" type of sound. But luckily it would go away after some time. And the sofa was very firm, it wasn't comfortable. Those are really the only complaints about this place that I have, everything else was done well and we had a great stay here. Location was perfect for the TD Coliseum, restaurants in the area, and also for transportation and bus stops. It's walking distance and accessible to so many things. All in all, this was a 4.5/5 experience for me. If we have another concert here or weekend trip in Hamilton, we would stay here again. Thank you!

They gave us complimentary ear plugs. XD They had 2 security guys inside the hotel at night. The area is scary/sketchy, one lady was banging on the hotel door at 4am in the morning, screaming "let me in!" Another guy on Meth was sitting around the hotel in the morning. Found out, there is a shelter few blocks away. The garage is so small. Our floor smelled like wet dog. Their complimentary light dinner was inedible. Only good thing: Our room was clean.
