To be honest, I should have done the build-your-own Ramen and selected everything I wanted myself... now I know. You live and you learn. The Wontons were good but we didn't eat much of it, as it came out the same time as the ramen. Once the ramen was served, our main focus was on that and that filled us up! Packed the rest to go. For this being our first time, it wasn't bad but it didn't wow us. If I'm being honest, so far-- the best Ramen we've ever had was in a small little shop we found while in Thailand back in March (yup, Thailand!). Unfair to this rating maybe? But-- every ramen I try will be compared to that now (sorry, it was THAT good). Until next time, which there will be a next time (just unsure how soon that will be)... they get a middle placement.

The agedashi tofu was super bland and the broth didn't pair well with it. I've had this dish several times at other locations and this wasn't up to par. The rolls were drowning in sauce and ruined their texture. The rice was also overcooked and very soggy. Soggy rice drowning in sauce is not a good combination. Lastly, the sashimi appetizer was served lukewarm. Each piece of fish had a mushy texture instead of being firm, and it didn't taste fresh. Perhaps serving them on top of ice to keep it cold would help. Plus, the miso soup was very salty. Overall, it was a very disappointing first visit, and unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.

Pillowy soft and full of tender BBQ pork, they were my fave. Truly a hidden gem right in the heart of Clovis!

First, I write very few reviews. this may be my 4th ever. I used to really enjoy this place. However, during and post pandemic, it has changed. In room dining is okay, but take out orders are what this review focuses on. The past 3 times I have ordered for take out, I have been CHARGED DIFFERENTLY for each order. Last night I ordered (Friday night) it was somewhat busy, so paid the bill, grabbed the food and walked out. Looking at the bill, I was charged above menu price for most items. I called the restaurant, shared my concern and asked why the past 3 orders prices are different. I was told prices have changed, and I understand that food cost and business expenses have gone up. I am a current business owner and member of the local Chamber of Commerce. The person on the phone confirmed my order and told me what I should have paid, based on what was in the computer, and it was still different than what I was just charged, in 1 case by $2.45 for one of the rolls. I am then asked if I wanted to speak with a manager. No not really, just be honest and fix it as I am certain I am not the only customer this is happening to. I did get a sorry out of it. There is a number of good sushi bars in town. Wasabi is one I would recommend. Dishonest restaurants do not deserve business. I don't chalk it up to an honest mistake and 3 times is a charm. read more

Hope this doesn't come as a shock after reading the other reviews, but this place makes me feel.... off. First of all, you could call the service horrible or slow but the thing is... its calculated and its on purpose. I will tell you why. You ever go here for all you can eat sushi and get your first round or 2 fairly quickly... only to wait for 45+ minutes BETWEEN rounds for the rest of your food? Let me tell you what is happening to your stomach in the meantime... IT IS GETTING FULL. That's right... hold my order hostage so that I eat less. WOW. Reason I know this to be true is that I have been here multiple times, in different size groups, at different times of the day. And I will tell you that it only happens when you get all you can eat and only when you are trying to eat all you can. SMH read more

After all our party had arrived it took a half hour for a waitress to come to our table to take our order or to give us drinks. The food came to our table sporadically, and two people had to wait an hour for their food to come. The owner kept making excuses, and when one of our party found a big piece of plastic wrap in the food all they did was make excuses. The food was average, but the way they treat their customers is terrible. There were also people who were seated behind us that were yelling at the owner and the waitress because they had problems. The service here has always been nearly non existent. The food used to be very good but has gone down hill. Used to come for the good food and just put up with the service issue. But now since the food isn't any good, we'll have to find another sushi spot :( Advice to owner/management: replace or hire more servers and spend more time and care preparing food. You shouldn't have to ask the server 3 separate times, over a time span of 15 mins for a side of terriaki. read more

I went ahead and got the number 19 eel roll suggested by Mr C and I'd have to say I was very happy with my roll!! It was really good, maybe just add a little more of that sauce on top. 10 pieces for 17 dollars wasn't bad at all and I enjoyed every bite I had!! Mr C and his wife served me and they were very kind, I was struggling to find the dragon roll i usually get but Mr c helped me find the right one on his menu. Thank you for that top notch service and patience. Sure you have to wait a few mins for your sushi to be done, but that just means it's fresh, well prepared, and I got plenty of time to find a movie to watch while I chow down!!! Thank you Mr C and thank you for the extra soy sauce I needed. Really appreciate this business and I'll be back to support them some more

Stepping into this environment, a minimal space with minimal however aesthetically pleasing furniture. The cultural details elevate the space quite a bit. Sushi box allows you to custom create your dream roll. (Or rolls) they rotate the menu, daily, weekly, and or monthly. I'd say there a few skips on the menu but everything is pleasantly tasteful. Before I dive in I'd like to highlight the staff. My mom and have been maybe 2-3 times and on the second visit (months in between I might add) recognized us and provided us friendly service. My mom's hard to please but she enjoys coming back. Photographed are 3 different visits. Each roll is of high quality and phenomenal. My only complaint is my own fault from not knowing out to open the onigiri nonetheless delicious. I want to try more of this business owners restaurant because judging by sushi box, they know good food and has great taste. Can't wait for my next cheat day!

I was left feeling as tho you have a surplus of carrots that you want to use before they go bad. They also lend a flavor that is best used as a mire poix for other dishes. I used to work in restaurants. Thee most important part of an eatery is that you can expect a dish to be the same every time you order it. I love the employees at the palm location. Very sweet. But the $20 ramen isn't hitting right anymore.

We lucked out and got there at a perfect time because right after we sat down, people slowly started flowing in. I tried the fried dumplings, takoyaki and the fried tofu. The tofu was a total surprise, seriously crispy on the outside and silky smooth on the inside. The takoyaki was perfectly cooked too. There's nothing worse than biting into one that is still running inside! Everything came out hot, fresh and delicious. I like that it's fairly close to home and that the location has plenty of parking. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop in for a bite!

No loose rolls here, and it's not over packed with too much rice. It was great. My kids got the pork katsu rice that came with a salad on the side. For me it was a little dry but the kids had no complaints at all. They ate every bit of it and that's all that matters. So it was a 5/5 from them :) They have a good selection of asian beers, my husband got two. Customer service was great, super friendly and kind staff. They adored my children. The ambiance was nice, not a huge restaurant but was nice and intimate. Our food came out 10 mins. Not too long at all. Will be coming back. Thanks

The woman who helped me was nice--just standard service. I ordered my roll and was handed a little pager thing to wait for my order to be ready. Once it was ready, I was handed the roll in a styrofoam box and went to eat it at a table. I got the orange dragon roll, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was some of the freshest-tasting (and texture) I've ever had! Not to mention everything else in the roll complimented it perfectly. Definitely check them out.

I went with my bartenders recommendation and ordered the Orange Dragon roll. This is tempura fried shrimp, spicy crab, cucumber, and topped with salmon. I know this isn't traditional sushi, but it was still delicious! Everything tasted extremely fresh and really hit the spot. From the time we ordered to the time, our food was done was less than 10-minutes. I normally opt for soy wrap, sushi, which they did have and I greatly appreciated. If you're out and about and see this food truck at a farmers market or your local brewery parking lot, do not save on this and order some sushi ASAP!

The second drink the bartender gave us was a vodka sprite. Maybe we should have specified soda means seltzer. Dinner bill for 3 adults and 2 kids was $250 plus tips. The food was decent but the service was underwhelming and subpar for spending that type of cash. Especially since the server seemed like anything we asked her was asking her to go out of her way. For example, we had to ask for straws, chopsticks, refills on water etc.
