Cheese quesadilla

We ordered 4 items to take back to our room for dinner. - Grass fed burger & fries 8/10 - Cheese quesadilla 7/10 - Buttermilk biscuit peach cobbler 7/10 (Biscuit was dry, but the peaches were delicious) - Four cheese flatbread 4/10 (Tasted like school cafeteria pizza)

Reuben & fries

Great room service. Quick and hot. Kinda pricey but it's room service, so... Reuben was bomb. Cauliflower was nice and spicy.

The food was tasty and well presented. Service was excellent and attentive. The ambience was sophisticated while not being too stuffy.

Yum! Not the quickest but good nonetheless. Quiet place to eat in the hotel during a busy Sunday.

The liquor selections.

This a quiet, upscale bar inside the Grand Hyatt. They have a good variety of mostly bourbon, scotch, and tequila. The ice cube with orange slices and cherries frozen inside was a unique touch to my Old Fashioned. Seating is comfortable, and service is above average. The ambiance is visually stimulating, but it needs a little music.

Onyx was renovated late last year and I have walked past it a few times and it looked really inviting. It was one evening in May that my friend and I decided to get a drink and dinner at Onyx. My friend did not want any dinner at first but I offered her to share my chicken quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla was really good. I had the mint julep and was hooked onto that since. A month and a half in Asia, I might have eaten way too much Asian food. Found myself walking over to Onyx and ordered myself a plate of chicken quesadilla and a mint julep. Both the staffs recognized me and welcomed me back. Yep, I have been going there to grab lunch or dinner every week in May and early June. Staffs are always friendly. I love the ambience and the best seats at Onyx are the ones next to the glass window where one could see the waterfall. Food are of good quality and the price reasonable. I will be back.

Onyx is located inside of the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead hotel. I ended up having a lunch order placed to-go on my last day. The hotel provided me with a few food vouchers because of some negligence on their part but nonetheless I decided to use them on my way to check out. The menu food items are selective but you are more than likely able to find something to eat. I didn't want anything heavy so I decided on the avocado crab salad which consisted of exactly that including chips. I can't lie I was expecting an actual salad with lettuce or at least kale lol. When I opened the box and saw that they just pretty much threw some crab and avocado on the top of chips I thought to myself "What the hell? This cost damn near $20 for some nachos" However I remembered that the hotel was paying for it anyways. I can't say that I'd order it again especially on my own dime. If you are staying in the hotel this place would be a great spot to have date night dinner because the ambiance gives a romantic kind of feel during the nice. If you get a table here request one by the window so you can see their Chinese Zen Garden and waterfall.

The Onyx at the Grand is a good spot to stop if you need a quick bite to eat or a beverage or two in a surprisingly friendly, unpretentious setting inside the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. Our bartender was extremely friendly, without being overbearing. It was also evident that he was in a good mood, because his family was there at the bar while we were there are well. Now you don't have to sit at the bar while you're here, although it is quite nice. There are also various high top tables and lower, more lounge-y seats that provide a serene view towards the Japanese Garden behind the floor-to-ceiling windows. It's a nice atmosphere that you might not expect for a Hyatt bar. There's actually quite a large variety of items from which to choose on the menu; full menu served at the bar and at the tables. They offer many local, organic, and responsibly-raised food choices, such as polyphosphate-free shrimp, in their Red Romaine & Spinach Salad, which I had a really enjoyed. My husband had the BBQ Pork Sandwich, which was served on a delicious brioche bun, and had a nice hint of local Sweetwater 420 beer in the BBQ sauce. Oh, and the sweet potato fries were also nice. If it's potent potables you seek, the Onyx won't disappoint. I didn't have any adult beverages while I was there, but there are no fewer than 4 pages of cocktails, beers, and wines on the menu. There is also a companion coffee bar with a full selection of coffee drinks and pastry, muffins, etc. So, if you don't have time to venture out into Buckhead for a bite to eat, you want something quick that also doesn't feel like a compromise, the Onyx is the way to go, especially if you're a guest at the hotel.

Lemon Pepper Wings

Stayed at the Hyatt for a conference so I popped into Onyx a couple of times while I was here. The service was a little bit slow every time, and what I had was a little hit or miss. But I'm 4 starring it because the wings I had one night were pretty damn good. You can also order the smoked duck Mac N Cheese from Cassis which is always a good thing!!!! I have had wings all over town, and the lemon pepper ones here some of the best. There is the perfect blend of flavors, not too lemony or peppery, the wings are a decent size, and they are cooked perfectly. I also had an Ahi Tuna salad. The actual tuna was excellent, but the salad was really just doing the most. It had too much stuff on it. Next time I'll consider just ordering Ahi Tuna.

Great place to grab a late night bite. The bar lounge has a nice ambiance and the servers are really accommodating. We decided to try after a charity event that didn't offer food lol, first time for everything. We were very pleasantly surprised for a hotel restaurant. We had the duck Mac n cheese, chartruderie, cauliflower soup, scallops and flat bread chicken pizza. All delicious. The cauliflower soup was surprisingly yummy, duck Mac n cheese was out of this world and the scallops were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Would def come back if in the area

Exquisite environment. Beautiful decor. Attentive staff who ensured we were satisfied. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Can't remember when I had a better meal. Praise for Brandi, our delightful server.

Slow cooked herbed organic chicken, what a name LOL

The Ashford - Smoked salmon dip

The Ashford

I was in town for a quick work trip and my team and I kicked things off here for dinner. I found…read morethem on Yelp a week or so before and ended up making a reservation on their website the next day. I'm so glad we listened to the other reviews and gave them a visit because our entire table of four had a lovely time. We started with drinks and I settled on a glass of wine. They had the exact type of sauvignon blanc that I wanted, which was an immediate win. As a group we settled on the whipped goat cheese and brussel sprouts for appetizers. The brussel sprouts came with bacon so I steered clear, but the others raved about them. The whipped goat cheese dip was also a nice choice with the garden veggies. Super creamy and refreshing. As for my entree I went with risotto of the week with salmon. It was absolutely delicious and I ate every bite. We had a birthday in the group so we of course had to get desserts. We shared the creme brulee and this super decadent chocolate cake. Both with fresh berries, love! The creme brulee was definitely my favorite of the two, but you can't go wrong. As for the space itself, it's beautiful. It gave off a sort of a modern farmhouse vibe with the wood and brick. With the twinkle lights and earthy touches bringing it all together. Our service was also on point. Jackson was awesome (as you can see in the other reviews) and kept the good vibes flowing all night. I would definitely come here again.

The Ashford is a pretty nice place to grab either brunch, lunch, or dinner! We came around 7, so we had dinner. You can sit outside or inside, the weather was really nice, but we just wanted to sit inside in the AC. I got a glass of the bieler rose, which was recommended by our server. My wife got the lavender daydreams cocktail, which was really good! We all shared the chicken spring rolls and the burrata bruschetta. Both were really good! The chicken spring rolls were in a rice paper, and not the usual wonton paper. I don't usually like the rice paper spring rolls, but these ones weren't too bad. For our main, me and my wife got the chicken schnitzel. They even split it on two different plates for us too, which was nice of them to do. It was SO GOOD. Pretty sure I inhaled mine! We also shared the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. The mac and cheese was soooooo good. It was a pimento mac and cheese, and had herbed breadcrumbs. Chef's kiss! The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars, is because our food took FOREVER to come out. There were some larger parties, so I do get it, but this was like 30-45 minutes forever. Also, I can't remember which dish, but one of the dishes me and my wife got was cold, so we asked to send it back to get a warmer version, which they did. They comped this off the bill, which was nice. That didn't bother me as much as the food coming out so late. Had that not been the case, I would've given this review 5 stars! The food was really really good. We would definitely still come back in the future!

Service: Service was great from the time I walked in to the time I left. The ambiance was aesthetic without being overly trendy. A very clean and nice establishment that looks modern! In fact, the manager tied the tie that went with my dress for me because I didn't know how to do it. He also ended our night with a lovely champagne toast which was the perfect touch for my birthday. Devon was also an amazing waiter. I appreciated his attention to detail and promptness throughout the whole service. Food: All of the women at the table did the prix fixe menu which was an amazing deal that they offer I believe on Fridays and Saturdays. For the 4 courses you get, it is well worth the price and honestly a great deal for a date night if you have someone you want to impress :) Everything was phenomenal. The crab cake was full of meaty crab, the lobster bisque was velvety and creamy, the ginger duck steak was cooked perfectly and though I can't remember the dessert I got, likely because I was stuffed from the other courses, I'm sure it was delicious too. The menu was plentiful with great choices and it's honestly a whole lot of food! Drinks: This is the only thing I'd say wasn't my favorite. The drink I got was just okay to me, I likely could've done without it.

Wow--let's talk about this dining experience…read more The oxtail gumbo? My first time trying it, and definitely not my last. Every bite was rich, comforting, and fully satisfying. Then came the salmon bites on wonton--crispy, flavorful, and such a perfect balance of texture. For the entrée, the pasta with salmon was not only delicious but a generous portion that didn't miss. And for something sweet... the bread pudding? So moist, topped with ice cream and Oreos--it was giving indulgence in the best way. But what really sealed the night for me was the coffee pairing. It took the show and brought everything together beautifully. I also loved the range of the menu--there's something for every craving. The service was excellent, and the food presentation matched the quality. Honestly had me thinking, what took me so long to dine here? Especially since I'm in this area often. We were running about half an hour late and let the restaurant know. We thought it would be fine because our reservation slot was for 2.5 hours, which is plenty of time. From the moment we arrived service was extremely slow. Drinks took forever to come and some were forgotten. My friend got a virgin raspberry mojito and it was so sour it was undrinkable. We had asked multiple times for one regular menu to order from and for some simple syrup for the mojito, neither of which we got. We pretty much had one server for our table of 18 people, and he was serving other tables as well. He told us at the start that another server would be helping but she was barely seen. It got to the point where my husband and I had to get up to talk to management. They were apologetic, gave us a bottle of rose, and asked how they can make it better. I told them that things need to be on time not just because we were approaching the end of our reservation but also because we had plans right after. Service was still slow and once we were finished we were still sitting and waiting for the check. We ended up being late to our other plans. Keep in mind this was our wedding day. We had just gotten married and everybody was in a great mood. We were nice and clearly communicated our needs even though service was lacking throughout the whole dinner. I write a review and then a day later they reply to my review, telling lies to try and discredit me. As if the poor service during dinner wasn't enough, their timing and dishonesty reflects their lack of respect for their customers. We spent over $2000 which included a 22% gratuity fee. Such a waste of money. You couldn't pay me to come here again. If you're looking for a restaurant for a wedding, proposal, anniversary, celebration, graduation, reunion, date, large party, or really anything, save yourself the trouble. They just might treat you the way we were treated, and then lie about it to try and make you look bad.
