During process of meeting with contractors, so many characters gave us estimates that were either scarily low, or inflated. Mike and Jay' s rate was fair, and their work is second to none. They were reliable, honored their word, and never cut corners on build quality. Since our house was originally built in the late 40s, they came across some structural issues that really concerned us.. Mike and Jay were understanding to our dilemma and were able to "shore-up" load bearing walls while being always fair with their rate. It was a huge stress relief to know they were on the job and staying within their estimate. Even long AFTER they finished, I had an issue with one of smoke detectors they installed and the same day, they went to home depot and exchanged it for a new one. It's rare to find high quality, great service and fair price in one company, but Fleming Construction nails it. I had you guys (Comfort) in a number of years ago to quote on a project. The problem I had at the time was that Comfort's price was just a little higher and the company I went with assured me they had the same quality workmanship and products. After the other company completed the work... (using the term completed loosely) I had nothing but problems. I called the other company and they told me to call the manufacturer. What a nightmare that turned into. This time the Comfort quote was still just under 4% higher than the next competitor but everything I have read told me to give Comfort a try. So I did! WOW ! is all I can say. I have never seen a construction crew as organized as your guys. The workers were friendly and polite. I didn't hear any swearing like I did with the other company. When the Comfort guys completed the job they walked me around the entire project showing me exactly what they did and why. I was amazed at the finish work, even the calk joints looked perfect unlike the other company who smeared calk everywhere. I am so thankful that I selected Comfort and cant wait to have you back in the spring for the next project we have in mind. They repaired it by putting some black material in the top cap. Now that material is creating or stain on our light gray roof, they came back and told us it was dust. We registered multiple request to the staff Kim White to have the owner Mike Majeski please come and meet with us or at least call. We never got the dignity of our response This year we are damaged due to ice buildup. It took them all summer to get the part and when it came, it was the wrong part meanwhile they had our deposit over $1000 no apology when they didn't come to install it we were not told they were coming. They just appeared. Our problem is that we are into this company for thousands of dollars for a roof and here we are still paying for our new roof.

Their estimator looked the job over made some suggestions, and said I would be the first or second job that season and they would start in April weather permitting. I signed a contract and sent a check for half the agreed amount. Around the 20th of June I got one days notice that they would be at my house to do the job. About 7:00 AM the next day the same estimator showed up with a crew of about 10 Hispanic people only one of which spoke a little bit of English. About 1:00 PM the Estimator/foreman took off to visit family out of state leaving the crew to finish the job. Around 5:00 PM they started putting all their equipment away and I asked about the roof on the bay windows and the soffit repair that was part of the contract. Now no one understands English. I contacted the foreman and eventually was told another crew would come and finish. That crew came probably three times each time telling everything was done but it was not. Not only didn't they do the work they said they did but they slopped gutter coating all over the new roof shingles. This dragged out until December when Over the Top wanted to bill me for the roofing only and let the other work go. I told them no way. We have a contract and I want the work done as per the contract. Then I was told they would not be coming back any more. I had to find another contractor who came the following spring to fix the poor work that was done and finish the job. That cost me an amount equal to the second half of the original contract plus another $1,000. In the meantime there were three different leaks which I, a disabled veteran in my seventies, had to fix myself in the middle of December. Then repaint three different interior walls. I am also a retired contractor and believe me these are the last people you want working on your home.
