Absolutely do not use Nick at L&G…read more We paid nearly $20,000 for site work and a 12x32 shed pad. What we received was an undersized gravel mound that was not properly prepared for the structure we paid to install. Unfortunately, we did not realize the pad was not the correct size until our shed was delivered and we watched a significant portion of the shed extend beyond the prepared area and sit unsupported over empty space. I know Nick will likely respond to this saying the ground was not level and required a significant amount of stone. We understand that. We expected to pay for proper site work. The problem is not that the site required work -- the problem is that we paid for a 12x32 pad and did not receive one. Even Nick believed the base was 32 feet long during the project. Once the shed arrived, it became obvious that it was not. Nick claimed he used 16-foot boards during construction to establish the length, but later acknowledged the boards provided no structural purpose, and the photos clearly show shorter boards were used. Regardless, the result speaks for itself. We are now left with: * A shed extending beyond the prepared footprint * Significant visible voids beneath portions of the structure * Extremely steep gravel slopes that continue to shift * Additional expenses to hire other contractors to correct the work The most frustrating part is not the mistake itself -- mistakes happen. The frustrating part is refusing to make it right. We paid for a finished installation and instead received something that now needs to be completely redone by actual experts.

In the process, water damage was discovered (due to the way our house was built) and Shawn and his crew came up with the a permanent solution. They shoveled my front porch and removed all snow from in front of my side door and garage doors. Then they finished by snowblowing my driveway with care and precision. This is the first year in memory that I have had full access to my entire driveway all winter. There was no damage to my trees or property either, as I have also experienced in years past. They did an equally good job at the home of my mother. They were an excellent value as well, especially considering the number of times they ended up having to clean out my driveway. After learning my schedule, they always showed up well before I needed to leave the house and I never had to worry. I highly recommend this company and plan to hire them for spring clean up and some other jobs. I normally mow my own lawn in the summer, but I'm tempted to hire them for that as well.

During process of meeting with contractors, so many characters gave us estimates that were either scarily low, or inflated. Mike and Jay' s rate was fair, and their work is second to none. They were reliable, honored their word, and never cut corners on build quality. Since our house was originally built in the late 40s, they came across some structural issues that really concerned us.. Mike and Jay were understanding to our dilemma and were able to "shore-up" load bearing walls while being always fair with their rate. It was a huge stress relief to know they were on the job and staying within their estimate. Even long AFTER they finished, I had an issue with one of smoke detectors they installed and the same day, they went to home depot and exchanged it for a new one. It's rare to find high quality, great service and fair price in one company, but Fleming Construction nails it. Our home addition was expertly built and we'd highly recommend Mike Fleming Construction!
