So glad I finally got to try Ono Seafood! I got the salmon and ahi poke and really enjoyed both. The fish was super fresh and the sauce was flavorful. The rice wasn't the freshest, but honestly the fish quality more than made up for it. Portion sizes are big, and everything comes out super quick. It's more of a grab-and-go spot, but there are a few tables if you want to sit and eat. Overall, really solid poke. Can't wait to come back!

Great local poke spot. The fish was fresh, but the rice was just standard. There are a lot of flavors/sauces to try so maybe I didn't get the ones that fit to my palate. I do like that they have other options like salmon and tako. Parking is extremely limited so you may have to find some street parking.

Ono Seafood and it was hands down the best poke I had on the island. The fish was insanely fresh like it literally melted in your mouth and had that buttery texture that you can't fake. I got the spicy ahi and my friend got the shoyu ahi, and both were so flavorful and perfectly seasoned. It is a little on the pricier side, but honestly it was 100% worth it I finished every single bite. Everything is made fresh and comes out super fast, and the owners were so nice (they even let me sample the spicy ahi first to make sure I liked it). Definitely one of those spots I'd go back to ASAP and recommend to everyone.

What? I can't believe I haven't reviewed this iconic poke spot. Indeed their fish was amazing - fresh and smooth, and their seasoning for the poke was spot on. However I can't give them 5 stars coz I think it's overpriced for what it is. Plus the rice was so undercooked I ended up feeding half of my rice to the birds. It's dry like bird food. I'd recommend ordering the poke by the lb and take it home to eat with some good Japanese rice. Also, no line for lunchtime on a Saturday in February!

Been going to Ono's seafood for a long time so this review is long overdue. The fish is always fresh and I recently tried their picked garlic was excellent. We had the shoyu ahi and spicy ahi bowls. It was spicier than I remember but still great. Parking and seating is limited. Overall great poke place.

No line at 2:30pm on a Friday. The only seating available are 2 picnic tables right outside which were empty. We got lucky and found a spot in their small shared lot but I can see it being very difficult during peak hours. Prices here are definitely on the expensive side but marination of the shoyu ahi and Hawaiian style ahi was perfect. Poke was so fresh, smooth and melt in your mouth so it was worth the splurge. Service was friendly and quick

Honestly overhyped. This is one of the most popular poke spots out in Honolulu and is usually one that friends visiting recommend. However, it is still delicious but it is a bit overpriced for the portion size. We went around 10am on a Saturday and it was not busy, but people started trickling in right after we got our food. The seating is mostly outside, or you can enjoy takeout elsewhere as everything is served in a takeout container. We got the shoyu ahi (tuna) and Hawaiian style tako (squid) combination which was $17+tax. As most of my poke experiences are previously frozen, I could taste the quality difference - the fish is much smoother and melt in your mouth texture. The marination is on point. However, they gave a disproportionate amount of rice to compensate for a less generous amount of poke (comparing it to other people's photos) so we ended up having to toss half a container of rice when we finished the meal. The rice was also quite undercooked so it did not blend well with the poke.

Parking: small shared lot, I can see it getting busy tho. We ended up getting a quarter pound of the shoyu ahi and wow it was delicious! We were already full from lunch but definitely wish we weren't. We came on a Friday and it wasn't too packed, we were able to grab a seat just as the rain was rolling in. Not really ideal for a big group of people because there's no seating inside and outside is quite limited. It would be better if planning to order take out and then hitting the beach! Prob the best poke we had during our trip!

Whenever I'm in town, I love coming to Ono Seafood. Services is always quick and fast! I usually order a poke bowl and a hawaiian juice. It's the best combo to have with your poke. There's limited outdoor seating and no indoor seating! Parking is always hard since their parking lot is very small. There's street parking but it's a bit hard to find parking.

Hawaiian Style Ahi with Brown Rice & Tempura flakes

Wanting to try out of the way, made for locals food - away from places that cater to tourists. We arrive in an "older" section of town. Had to look hard, only their sign is visible from the street. It's easy to overshoot the driveway. Parking lot is small, maybe 15 stalls with many signed for other businesses. The store's small, menu posted on the wall. There are 2 picnic table outside, there's no inside seating. Since it was raining we ate ours in the car. I got the #3 Hawaiian Style Ahi, the wife got #7 Spicy Ahi. Both had brown rice and we added Tempura Flakes. Both poke bowls were delicious with a large amount of the meaty stuff. We were definitely full when we finished. We'll be back to next time we're in town.

This was the first place I tried when I arrived in Honolulu, and it set the bar high. It's tucked into a small strip mall, but the poke is some of the freshest I've ever had. The space itself is tiny, with counter service and the option to take your food to go or enjoy it on their small patio with a couple of picnic tables. Despite the size, the menu delivers big on flavor, and the portions are generous. They also offer convenient grab-and-go options. The price point is very reasonable, and the service was quick and genuinely friendly. I would absolutely recommend stopping here if you're in town.

This place was on my checklist to try and we finally got to sample! We got the tako and the ahi and both were amazing! My kids even liked the poke and they barely eat anything raw. Service was efficient and the little store had so many options including things in the refrigerators. We tried coming back to bring home more poke but sadly they were closed. Until next time!

So far on our trip, ono is the best poke we've had here!! They recommended the shoyu ahi and miso ahi and both were SOOO delicious. The miso was a blast of flavor and shoyu was also so yummy. The fish is so fresh!!! Portions a little smaller than other poke places but quality was 10/10!!

I just wished there was a bit more white onion for crunch, but it was good regardless. The Fish and Chips were really good. The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.
