So delicious, I had to go twice!…read more It's not a Hawaii/Oahu trip without some delicious poke! I really wanted to hit up foodland. But since I didn't have a car and I didn't feel like walking one mile to foodland, i decided to walk around and check out the closer spots. And there i saw it. A poke spot that had a short line going inside. Hopped on Yelp to see what people said and... Looks like i found my poke spot! I got a Large Special Rainbow - comes with tuna, salmon, and bluefin, white rice, the rainbow sauce (spicy mayo and teriyaki mix), and cucumber and seaweed salad. So fresh and so flavorful. Highly recommend. Washed it down with a hawaiian sun. Price: $24.73. Worth it! Service: Friendly. They'll have your food out in no time. Pretty narrow spot. After you're done ordering, you wait on the side for them to call your number. And there are a couple tables and chairs right outside their store, and an eating area just around the corner. But like i said.. had to get it twice. So good! I miss it already. Will I be back? Oh heck yes! I'm still thinking about that poke bowl. I'll see you when I visit Maguro Spot!

The fish is super fresh and I appreciate that their signature sauces complement the natural sea brine flavor. I loved that they had the grape seaweed and sea asparagus to complement the fresh tuna and blue marlin served over sushi rice. A must try when in Waikiki!

This is the best poke I've ever had! I've lived in San Diego for 10 years and I make and eat poke…read moreregularly. This place puts everything I've ever made and everything I have eaten around all the coastal cities all my life to shame! The only place I've had comparable tuna is Japan! This meal blew my mind and I truly cannot believe that such an amazing place exists. If I lived here I'd go broke for this place and this place alone Already my wife is saying we can't keep going back here and we should try new things and it is hard to get me to do that. Order the Chotoro Bowl. It is incredible. I'd recommend the fatty tuna if you can get there early enough. Lines form so things sell out quickly. Be prepared to wait a little and enjoy

My palate isn't too decerning but I couldn't sense a huge difference between the blue fin toro and the chutoro. The blue fin was a bit more expensive, so unless you know your fish, i wouldn't say the price difference was worth it. The side of uni was small but it was Very yummy. Uni is my absolute favorite. It was slightly sweet and melted in my mouth. I'm not sure I would go again, but the fish wasn't too fishy and felt very clean. We waiting about 10-15 minutes for dinner. They can also validate parking and save you 2hrs worth of parking. There was ample seating in the area.

Fast service...but not rushed. Everything is handmade...you can sort of sneak a peek in the back from the register. After trying this place, we're all obsessed with musubi! Try it out. Musubi Cafe is such a fun, local gem, but be ready for a wait. We went early, midday timing, and…read morethe line was already about 15 people with roughly a 30 minute wait. It moves steadily though, and it is worth it. Inside is tiny, just one small table, so this is really an order and go kind of place rather than somewhere to sit and eat. They have every musubi combination you could think of, unagi, avocado, cucumber, egg, bacon, ume, tofu skin, shrimp, you name it. I got the tuna mayo onigiri and wished they had packed in a little more tuna filling, but it was still tasty. I also tried the cucumber spam musubi, which was really good too. We came as a group of seven and everyone ordered something different, and everyone loved every bite. My tip: get at least two musubis per person. A few people in our group got four each and had zero regrets. One thing to know ahead of time is parking. It is street parking only and pretty limited, so plan for that if you are driving. Overall such an easy, yummy stop and a great local experience in Waikiki.

What stands out to me is their variety of unique flavors - even your basic shoyu or spicy ahi poke has a more creative and/or elevated version here! The Yuzu Shiso Ahi poke is my single favorite poke I've ever tried from anywhere; this combination is absolutely genius and feels tailor-made for me, as someone who loves these two flavors! They've also recently added a Kaffir Lemongrass Ahi poke that I love as well - you get exactly what the name suggests, which is bright, fresh, and full of flavor. The fish itself is always great quality; the flavor is always fresh despite the texture sometimes (rarely) having some tough parts. The prices are reasonable too, though I usually prefer ordering 1/2 or 1/4 pound of poke along with another side dish instead of a poke bowl. They have great sides like the Fish Patty Musubi or Inari Sushi, but I really hope they bring back the Grilled Musubi soon!!! Although the shop itself is very small and can get crowded quickly, the staff are always super friendly and efficient. As you can probably tell, I have nothing but love for Ali'i and would recommend them for any fan of poke!
