I placed and order 10 days ago. I needed bully sticks asap for my new puppy. After 2 days of placing the order and being charged for I did not receive any email regarding the shipment, so I decided to contact them. I sent them and email and waited a day... nothing. I called their phone number listed on their website just to wait 30 minutes and be transferred to the answering machine several times the same. I left a few messages and emailed them during next 8 days and no respond at all. I started a claim via PayPal (I paid thru them) AND within 25 minutes I received an email via PayPal saying the claim was closed because the seller made a refund!!! Imagine if I just let it go!!! They were aware of me calling and emailing and did not care to respond or ship the items. What was that!? Why when I started a claim they responded so fast!? This review is for their online business as I am nowhere near Boulder, Colorado to visit their flagship store. I wish I could though! Bless online shopping because I don't know what I would do without Only Natural Pet! My cats all had problems with allergies to Purina Kitten Chow and Royal Canin before I sat down on Doctor Google and looked up grain free alternatives. My cats are on their branded powerfood dry kibble and it is amazing. Their coats are amazing, energy is through the roof and hairballs are non existent. I'm very pleased with their house brand items like their freeze dried treats which are great for both dogs and cats. In fact, my success with my cats has lead me to swallow it up and switch from Purina One to their brand power food for dogs. Yes, it costs more but it is an amazing switch. My only suggestion is do your research first. You can find some major branded items on other sites for cheaper out there. If you're doing a larger order then go for it, but when you toss shipping in you may realize that there are cheaper options available elsewhere. Great service, great products. Love love love Only Natural Pet Store! The selection is outstanding and they always have something I am looking for. My pets are better fed than myself! There is a huge selection of homeopathic and natural medications from special arthritis support to UTI support. If a product doesn't work, they will take it back for a full refund or exchange for another product as not everything works on first try. There are many toys and beds that are environmentally safe and naturally made. I love the variety of raw along with their own raw products and frozen yummy bones. Bring your dog(s) and let them pick out a new toy while you shop for some healthy natural food whether it by dried, freeze dried, canned or raw, they have it all!!! Online orders, be cautious. I placed an order online from the East Coast and within two days of the online order my credit card information was used for a $1.16 charge at a Mr. Electric of Thornton branch which is coincidentally located about 30 mins away from the Boulder store location. I know hackers can steal information from anywhere but a fraudulent purchase that's essentially a local store to Boulder when I'm on the East Coast and have never done business in CO until now is too much of a coincidence. We stopped at ONP on our way home from bringing our kitty home and haven't gone anywhere since - that was 10 years ago! I love their customer service most and you're greeted as soon as you walk in the door but I also love how easy it is to find things. Some pet stores can be overwhelmed and feel cluttered, but ONP is clean and organized. Plus, I love their branded items which are less expensive. OK, happy ending! Mike from shipping called and let me know today that I would be refunded the $6.99 shipping fee I was charged in the scenario below! So, I want to change my 2 star review to a 5 star review! This is what GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE looks like! I spent $139.45 on an order, which qualified for free shipping. Another order I placed at the same time for $16.99 was shipped IN THE SAME BOX with the "free" shipping order. But, because the 2nd order did not reach $79 threshold for free shipping, they charged me $6.99! I discussed this at length on the phone with an ONP employee but she was NOT willing to refund the $6.99 shipping fee. ONP made the decision to "piggyback" the 2nd order with the 1st order IN THE SAME BOX with the free shipping order, but felt it was a good business practice (?!) to charge me $6.99 for the one item in the 2nd order!? I moved to Boulder two years ago and have been shopping exclusively at ONPS during this time and every visit has been worthy of two paws up. Or is that two claws up? Either way, I bring my border collie rescue mix, Marley, to the shop regularly to sniff around, meet employee dogs, and pick up healthy food and treats. The staff is always knowledgable and very helpful, what we need is almost always in stock, and the prices are reasonable. They have sales regularly that you can find out about through their e-mail newsletter and they track your purchases to offer pet bucks to use as store credit, making this an affordable shop for healthy pet food. I rotate between high quality brands such as Taste of the Wild, Wellness, and Blue Wilderness, all of which they carry. I also must praise ONPS for their 'Vital Digest' supplement. Or as I like to call it, "fart powder" because of its magical properties that reduce fido's flatulence to almost nada. Like many Boulder dog guardians, I take better care of my pup than I do myself, so where we shop for food is important. Shopping at a chain without the same level of service and quality doesn't make sense, so we're happy to remain loyal to this fantastic local pet store. read more

I like this store. It is open, airy and has a good vibe. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They may encourage you to feed raw if you want to talk about it, but they don't push it on you like some natural food stores. They are more laid back in that way. If I ever have questions there is usually one person on duty who can answer my question. The selection of cat food is really good. They have brands I've never seen elsewhere. That being said (and this is NO knock on Only Natural) - why can't anyone create a COMPLETELY CHICKEN FREE rabbit or duck grain-free formula? The prices are okay - in another review I've said that I can go across the parking lot and get some brands cheaper at Whole Pets. I find it totally weird that the two major natural pet food stores are so close to one another. Very convenient for me but seems a little aggressive as far as competition goes. Excellent quality food for your pet with natural herbal supplements, treats, and more. The staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Only on one occasion have I had a less than stellar experience with an in-sore purchase when an employee raised her voice with my 4 year old while one of her colleagues was answering a question for me. My daughter had grabbed a bully stick and tried giving it to one of the store dogs. I would have liked to seen the employee kindly redirect or explain to my daughter what was appropriate in a kind way rather than scolding her. Members of the store get 10% off ONPS products and there are frequently little sales each week. I love that there are holistic, homeopathic and natural remedies for our pets here. My cat starting sneezing a lot after my boyfriend accidentally left her out on our balcony one night when it was really windy so I picked up a bottle of wellness droplets and she got better later that day! There is also a large selection of foods, frozen foods, dehydrated foods, raw foods, treats toys and more. I like how the staff cat and their dogs get to hang out at the store during the day. I have tried for MONTHS to get them to cancel my auto ship AND delete my account. Prior to this I was unable to log in and when I tried to reset my password the page gave an error message. BEWARE OF AND WARNING OF EXPIRED FOOD BEING SOLD AS NEW AT ONLY NATURAL PET BOULDER. This is a lengthy review because of the seriousness of the offensive experience. Feeding expired food to animals is a major cause of digestion and disease problems. It isn't any different than a person eating expired food. It becomes more problem the longer the food is expired. And, to the nay sayers out there about fake reviewers, if you don't have proof of what you say you need to keep your opinions to yourself. This is not fake. I purchased a 4lb bag of high quality Petcurian dry food for my cat. It was shipped with an expired date of many months. I called and talked with "BETH", she said the package wasn't expired by the encoded numbers and thought I didn't know the difference. However, I had already called Petcurean directy and they assured me the food was expired by several months and that they would contact the store and ask them to check their inventory and their distribution of expired food as new. Technically, this is called consumer fraud if it is not a mistake but intentionally attempting to pass off old inventory as new. Within a week I received another bag of the same food, it likewise was expired witht he exact same code as the first bag. I sent emails and voice mail to Mike Miller, Customer Care, no responses until I decided to file consumer complaints with federal and state agencies for an inspection of their facility which houses the inventory. His apology and refunding my money was a little late and not enough. He would take care of the admitted inventory problem internally. This is not the only experience I have had with this store selling expired or near expired and never long shelf life from expiration dates. In my experience, I am convinced they use old inventory for sales to increase profits at the expense of the health of animals. So if you decide to continue purchasing products from this store and potentially harming your pets, PLEASE check your expiration dates and complain if you have an experience of a 3- month shelf life or so after receipt or worse completely expired. Call the manfacturer and complain if this happens to you like it did to me. read more

If I could give this company (because I purchased at PetSmart) I wish I could give this company minus stars. I used the all natural flea and tick squeeze-on for both of my cats. It made their hair fall out. One of my cats is black so you can see it and it's horrible. At first, I figured it would grow back, but instead more and more hair keeps falling out. My other cat is very light so it is difficult to see. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The guy I spoke with said, "the hair will grow back." I explained that the skin is soft with no stubble and he got really snarky with me. I would never recommend their products to anyone. read more

I own a retail store in NYC and have attempted to place several wholesale orders with this company. Each and EVERY order I have tried to place has been INCORRECT! I understand that mistakes happen and that is okay, but you still need to acknowledge when you make/made a mistake. Apologize for it and make it up to your customer, make sure they are happy when the transaction is complete; this is the most basic form of customer service. Sadly, the company does not operate like this, they have horrible customer service and have a compete and utter disregard for their customers happiness. I had the gross miss-fortune of dealing with the manager Amanda, she was unhelpful, rude, accusative and insulting. When working in retail your primary goal is CUSTOMER SERVICE, as someone who has run a successful retail business for over 32+ year I assure you this is imperative, I wish they understood that. Each time I placed an order with this company it took over a month to get my order and numerous follow up phone calls, the manager Amanda finds this acceptable, apparently when people are handling things and their system updating accident happen. Accidents do happen but they do not happen time and time again. Word of caution, terrible customer service, completely untimely, leave a msg and they will not respond, email your msg to service@onlynaturalpet.com and nobody will reply, have an issue do not ask for the manager, Amanda will not help you at all. Also according to Amanda the owner was not available, she did not know when he would be and said that he does not come in often and that she was the manager and my only option was to speak with her. My pug's eyes area was both goopy & scabby. So we switched her to Only Natural's own raw, freeze-dried formula and they cleared up in a week! Her coat & weight are top-notch, too. I trust their product selection completely - nothing will have unnecessary/potentially harmful ingredients and it will most likely be all natural, recyclable, or otherwise non-harmful to both pet & Earth. Their prices are just so-so... but it is Boulder and quality is the best. The employees are just the best, and so are there dogs that roam the store. Worst Customer Service ever. I went to this store yesterday to try to talk through some issues my pup is having transitioning to a new food and to determine best options. I wandered around the store for 15 minutes and even went up to the counter hoping to ask a few questions, but the store associates were too busy chatting with their friends to service customers. I finally left the store and still no one asked if I needed assistance. I went over to PC Pantry a few blocks away where I was greeted as I entered, assisted by a sales associate and she even offered to help me carry my purchases to my car in pouring rain. With Whole Pets across the parking lot and PC Pantry around the corner, I can't imagine how this place stays in business! read more

Sylvia and I LOVE this place! I have never been unable to find what I'm looking for here, whatever it is: Sylvia has coats, toys, treats, a bed, and supplements from here. Even when I feel like it's impossible they'll have what I'm looking for, these guys come through for me--my latest request was human-grade, antibiotic-free, local raw goats milk and unbelievably, they had it (and here I thought I'd have to buy a goat to get it)! The staff is always friendly and attentive, and I love hanging out with all the shop dogs. A truly wonderful place!!! read more

My go-to pet store. I love how they have events with free services for my pup. My dog recently got her first chiropractic adjustment there for free, and it was great to see if she would like it before actually having to pay for a session. Always best to go these events early, though. I once arrived to one at the tail end of a sale, and waited in line for a long time. Understandable, cause their sales are great. Their staff is pretty knowledgeable. When i've had issues with ear infections or bladder control (my dog, not me) they've been able to give me good info on different supplements so I can make an informed decision. I also like that they have their own brand of food and treats which are grain free and otherwise healthy, at a fraction of the cost. read more

Other than one isolated incident with a weird employee who seems to not be around anymore over-advising me on how to feed my dog (if I say I feel good about my choices, leave me alone), EVERYONE is always friendly here and ready to advise should I ask for it :). I've bought all my dog and cat food here for years and would absolutely recommend going here for a broad selection of natural foods and pricey but nice toys.
