I cannot contain my excitement! Right before my gf and I walked in, I mentioned to her I've been so disappointed with trying out new boba tea spots lately. Unless it's from my one or two spots I trust, uh-uh, I can't anymore. But since I'm not always in Worcester, I said what-the-hey, it's a new joint in the area, I'll give it a shot. Mind blown. Before I spill the tea on the tea, let's talk about the scene. I noticed the space was a pristine minimalist style cafe. There's a long bench against the wall, a table indoors, a screen projector playing music videos without it blaring, and a table right out front. Menu signs are all visible before heading to the cashier and plexiglass barriers wrapped the counter. It's attractive both inside and out. Hong Kong Style Milk Tea with brown sugar boba- This just moved to the top of my list for favorite milk tea of all time! There, I said it! It has a rich, hearty, wonderfully strong tea flavor. I went light with the sugar level, 25%, and I don't typically order boba but it's made from scratch in-store (so I had to), with milk and it was perfection. 10 out of 10! And yes I ordered a large backup! OneZo Green Milk Tea- I couldn't leave this place without trying something else. The staff was spot on with this one, it has an earthy taste that I like, and mixed with the right amount of milk and I kept the same amount of sugar level at 25% to be safe, ah-mazing. Overall Service: Love is a strong word, but I seriously love the staff members here, especially the young lady who was assisting us with the customization. She was super welcoming and went out of her way to understand what we were looking for. Even after she handed the drink to us, she effectively followed up. The epitome of a class act. Great addition to the Worcester scene. First trip at this location we tried their PassionFruit Slush which was great, then my second visit I tried the Brown Sugar Latte with Oreo, which was awesome. Then my two trips after that went downhill. I've had many Brown Sugar Lattes and this location's version is lackluster. It is all milk :-( so water-down and they kill it with ice (you have to ask for 25% ice to get light ice) There was barely any Brown Sugar boba "syrup" in the cup, you'd think it was just a cup of whole milk (check added photo) The most annoying thing about this spot, is that whenever you get the Brown Sugar Latte, they would ALWAYS shake it up without giving you a chance to do it yourself or even snap a photo. (I know my fellow foodies would understand, we love to see the beauty of the brown sugar all drizzled down the cup) So it's a hit or miss for me on this spot. read more

If there's a downside at all it's minimal seating on site. OneZo even has many of the digital amenities (app, online order) as it's bigger cousins. I've been coming to this OneZo for years now and between them and the other boba shops in this city, this one is definitely my preferred. What I generally appreciate about this (and all) OneZo in general is the sheer size of their menu. There's so many options that range from classic teas to more mainstream flavors. One of the other things that's nice is that they have an overwhelming variety of topping options - something that's fairly uncommon in a chain stores (e.g. the GongCha, Kung-Fu Teas out there). One of the things I *love* about this particular OneZo is that they switched to a kiosk ordering system which makes the ordering process infinitely easier when you consider their extensive menu and customization options. It does take customer interaction out of the equation, but also decreases ordering anxiety if you deal with that. Our orders were made quickly, perfectly to customizations, and with little fuss. I love how OneZo has a variety of options for toppings. I got the Real Fresh Fruit Tea which was refreshing! I also like how there are a variety of options for drinks, such as the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea and the slushes. The prices are fair and the service was prompt and friendly. They also have bakery treats as well. What I found funny is that they had a Youtube playlist playing on a projector shown on the wall when you walk in. The only downside I would say is that it is street parking only. However, I would return to OneZo again. read more

Wow. I didn't expect to love OneZo the way I did! Boston has a ton of great boba shops and I've had plenty of boba in other parts of the world that are just good. But OneZo had me shook! I think what makes this such a great boba shop is the homemade boba themselves. I've only ever visited in the evening, so I haven't actually seen them making the boba, but the machine is visible. The pearls have a great, extra soft chew to them that other pearls just don't. After having OneZo boba, my old favorite boba shops just weren't as good anymore. The brown sugar sauce def adds extra flavor to a pretty bland topping as well. Whenever they don't have anymore brown sugar boba, I opt for the pudding. I'll say, some puddings have bad textures, especially when it's not a primary topping that people request (imagine a weird film). OneZo's pudding is not that. Just like their boba, their pudding is top notch. Great taste, perfect creamy custardy consistency. Can't go wrong! I've always gone for the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea with half sugar, which is a good balance of tea and milk. I am itching for a trip back to MA to try more flavors. I got it with the white bubbles which is basically the same thing as regular boba but their boba is HANDMADE right in the shop so they said they don't use food coloring! I went around 3:00pm so there was barely any wait, no lines. The shop is very open and spacious to enforce social distancing, they were super quick with my drink and very friendly. I was ALSO told by friends that the brown sugar milk tea is good and the OneZo real fresh fruit one is okay. I've had OneZo when I was in Toronto before so I was super excited to hear they were opening up a chain here in Worcester! Be prepared for a long read. Been here at least about 5-6 times already and always get a big batch of drinks to go. Milk teas are yummy and boba is great in taste and texture. Service is consistently nice so far and they've always been willing to explain if I have questions or speak up again after I wasn't able to hear them because my hearing sucks and the masks+shield don't help. We went today on a Monday afternoon, and I shocked the cashiers by ordering a taro green milk tea with strawberry syrup. They were kind enough to try to discourage me from combining the two flavors since it seems like they haven't tried anything similar to that before. It sounds like an unusual flavor combination, but I was pretty sure that it would taste good. To me, the taro tastes similar to a strong vanilla when combined with milk tea. Adding the strawberry syrup made it taste like strawberry ice cream with some of that taro/vanilla flavor rising up in the aftertaste. All in all, I would get it again at a lowered sweetness level because I forgot to adjust for that when I ordered lol. I might also get strawberry milk tea with red beans next time too since I know those are also a good combo (like strawberry daifuku, stuffed milk bread buns, parfaits, Vietnamese dessert drinks, etc). Other drinks we usually get are the brown sugar bubble latte (a delicious & creamy caramel milk with boba; don't expect any caffeine with this one), brown sugar milk tea (slightly less creamy/sweet than the latte but still yummy), and onezo milk teas in regular and green. We'll also get the hong kong style sometimes, but it's a bit too overwhelming in the strength of tea flavor and caffeine to drink a lot of it often. The HK style isn't super bitter, but it does have a strong malty black tea flavor (still tasty) that doesn't lose out to the milk and sweetener. We tend to get this when we want a stronger caffeine kick for the day. We've also only tried the brown sugar boba and grass jelly toppings, and love them. Sometimes we think about trying the others, but our tastebuds and stomachs can't resist our usual go-to toppings. Other drinks I've tried are the bamboo charcoal latte (was like a really strong oolong and that's not my preference. Not sure if there is tea in there), burny caramel milk tea (lil more of a bitter taste but I think that's to be expected with a sugar syrup that's been caramelized longer), and green teas w/milk foam and cheese foam. I prefer the cheese foam more even though both are equally rich & creamy. I have mistakenly ordered a milk tea with milk foam added twice, not knowing what to expect. I apparently didn't learn my lesson the first time and was overwhelmed by the richness both times. If you're looking for something truly decadent, I recommend ordering something similar as it is pretty much twice as rich and creamy than the regular versions. I'll stick to the milk teas w/toppings since those are already rich enough for me. We are fans and are happy Onezo opened up on Worcester. They've overtaken Gongcha as #1 in our go-to for milk teas after we tried them. I'm looking forward to more visits and hope that they'll add some kind of rewards thing for frequent/bulk buyers and maybe add a gardenia green milk tea to the menu. Also hoping onezo will post online more often when and which boba flavors are available. I have no clue when they'll have a certain boba in store and it's difficult to tell how they rotate the flavors. read more

It was my go to place but lately it's been a hit or miss. Their boba is soft and warm when it's fresh. There's day where the boba feels a little old. Drinks are delicious, maybe a little creamy but it's good! Today I had my first drink where I had to toss it out. I've had the chrysanthemum tea many times but today it was just undrinkable. I like my tea bitter but it was a weird burnt bitter taste today. I couldn't finish it. Place is starting to go downhill. Please don't forget to try the tea when it's steeped. My favorite bubble tea place -- friendly folks, quick service and delicious bubble teas! They make their own boba (or bubbles) in-house, so you know they are fresh; however, that means they do sometimes run out of a particular kind of boba. Try a jelly, instead! My go-to drink is the fresh fruit tea with lychee jelly. It's pretty sweet, so I ask for half-sugar. But it is made with real fruit -- can't argue with that. Tip: For you lactose-intolerant types, know that One Zo uses lactose-free milk in its latte drinks, so they are safe for you to drink if you know your milk issue is truly lactose-related. The milk tea menu uses powdered milk in the mix so those drinks are not lactose-free. read more

However since the pandemic, they have inconsistent hours that change weekly and run out of product what seems like daily. I don't know what's changed but it makes a lot of room for competition and I've explored other local options like daboba which is really good and that new mochidoh spot starting selling boba as well which is decent. Parking is madness in the area. Employees are incredibly nice and able to answer all questions about specific ingredients. They were super patient and made good suggestions. However, all three of us were a bit disappointed with our drinks. Purple yam latte with almond milk was filled with goopy, thick yam paste that never mixed in and had to be spooned up at the end of the drink. Jasmine green tea unremarkable. Too much ice. Honey Boba fairly tasteless. Chrysanthemum honey tea was really weak. Again too much ice. Recommend ordering with less ice and starting with stronger flavored teas for batter drink. Extremely long wait but worth it. Social distancing guidelines were being followed and staff were all wearing masks properly. This place blows the competition out of the water. These are the best bubbles you will find outside of Boston. They also had a wide variety of bubbles that I assume are switched on a semi regular basis and we took advantage of this with the sesame bubbles which were tasty and the perfect texture You can adjust the sugar and ice levels even on the brown sugar options which is great since these are notoriously unhealthy and I know other places don't allow customization on their brown sugar lattes We decided to compare the brown sugar latte with the brown sugar milk tea and highly recommend the latte if you are torn or confused the between the two. Ordered my typical Hong Kong milk tea without sugar and with herbal jelly. The herbal jelly was hard and tasted funny. The tea was too sweet even without sugar. OneZo has been popping up all over the Boston area, and I'm impressed by the Worcester location. I got the brown sugar milk tea, basic but so good!! The pearls are so soft and chewy. They're also made in-store without dyes, you can definitely tell the difference. The strawberry milk tea is really good as well with a strong fresh strawberry flavor. Stopped on our way through from Maine to Connecticut. After ordering online ahead of time, our order was ready for pickup without a hitch--from behind a plastic barrier. My son went for his usual iced mango green tea and opted to try the Pokeball boba and lychee jelly toppings. He loved it, said it was incredibly flavorful, and thought the multicolored Pokeball boba were great. (He's a huge Pokémon fan!) He'd definitely order again. I ordered two different iced drinks: the brown sugar bubble latte (added taro boba), and a citrus winter melon with coconut jelly and Pokeball boba. The latte was incredible--super creamy, and the caramel notes from the brown sugar bubbles added perfect depth and sweetness. The taro boba were yummy, surprisingly flavorful. I'd order again without the taro boba, though. The drink stands solidly on its own! The citrus winter melon was very fragrant and refreshingly citrusy. I ordered 1/4 sweetness and would next time order with no added sweetness. I've found winter melon tea drinks overly sweet in the past--not sure if that's to counter bitterness. The Pokeball boba was delightful and had nice chew. Overall, we were impressed and super pleased with our order. After living in NYC for two decades and moving recently to Maine, we now live in a boba desert. Knowing excellent boba is to be found in other New England spots relatively close by was a wonderful discovery, and I'll definitely be planning future trips through Worcester to include a pit stop at OneZo. :-) read more

Open, cleanly, and friendly staff. Brown sugar boba is addicting. If you are a dairy free person like myself there are still plenty of options to choose from. Love the nature melon iced tea as well as the chrysanthemum iced tea. My only complaint is the music was a bit too loud so it was hard to order ,however there is a gym right next door so that could be why they had to off set the noise.
