3.5 stars rounded up. Staff is amazing & welcoming & the prices were right for street tacos however the flavors were lacking for me a bit with the chicken and asado tacos. You shouldn't have to dress them in lime and salsa for good flavors. Good bit of indoor seating and seems like a popping spot for lunch!

Nachos, queso, horchata

Walked here after getting a local recommendation. My taco was fabulous, I made it a combo and added queso and was very happy. And every day is a good day with horchata! Easy street access, limited indoor seating, fast, fresh and hot food. Will go again if in the area!

Staff and service was great. Ordered 3 breakfast tacos--el Clásico , taco jefe, and buenos días. Clásico was basic and kind of bland, but the other two were fantastic! They also had a tasty salsa verde.

Somewhere in the chaos of downtown Austin you can find OneTaco - Frost Tower. One of many locations, this spot is conveniently located on the ground floor right next to a parking garage. The atmosphere was decent, a taco joint with self serve salsa and a few seats towards the back. Service was friendly and the food came out quick too. We tried a few tacos and cheese quesadillas so we had a diverse spread. As far as tacos go, it's hard to make bad tacos and these were about as middle of the road as they come. We were very excited for the birria taco and it fell very flat, the corn tortillas don't taste too fresh and the consome was pretty bland. The al pastor taco was okay, not a huge fan of pineapple on it but we can't dock points for something we could easily choose to remove. The best taco by far was the carne asada, it was juicy and full of flavor, all around delicious. They offer two vegetarian taco options which was helpful since on of our friends is vegetarian and they really liked them curing their flavorfulness. Our cheese quesadillas were okay, again hard to mess up cheese and bread. The flour tortillas definitely taste better than the corn here, which is something we don't come across often. The final verdict is that OneTaco is a middle of the road taco joint that is a great option for anyone finishing off a night on 6th to head on over to.

Came here as I needed something quick and cheap which was walkable from my hotel. Ordered the carne asada, al pastor, and birria. It was solid, really good portion size. Obviously can't compare to L.A. street tacos because that's what I'm used to, but it got the job done. Staff was really friendly here. They had a smile on their face at all times. Even gave me some extra consome when I accidentally spilled some. Good meal, but nothing that makes me need to absolutely come back.

Went for the breakfast tacos. Originally ordered 2 and then saw someone eating the pancake taco and decided I needed it too :) Great spot for a quick breakfast.

Came in here cuz I needed a godamn snacky and was craving a mother fuckin quesadilla, this place delivered. Such chill vibe, food came out fast, plenty of seating. Tacos and quesadillas are micro but good price, like less than $7 for this satiating snack. Tasted yum as fuck, really hit the spot. Woman working the counter was hella nice. No complaints!! Would come to this place for snack time again

Small taco joint. Not a lot of seating. Good street tacos. Very flavorful. Staff was welcoming/friendly. Tacos were ready pretty quickly. I'd go back for a quick inexpensive meal. We spent just under $35 for 6 tacos and two sodas.

Barbacoa Taco

I had the pleasure of learning about this place catering style in a parking lot at a Howler Brothers FC Party. The Barbacoa is BOMB. I think I had like 3 of them. Ok ok maybe 4.... I even wanted to ask them when the party was wrapping up if they had extra barbacoa that needed a home to go to. But...I didn't. Still kicking myself for not even trying lol. Juicy but not greasy. Corn tortilla was sturdy but not too thick. Veggie topping options were fresh. The flavor on point - I didn't even need to add their house sauce. And to speak for the catering - the setup was a great idea. They had heated servers of each of the meats and made your taco fresh to order. Each person could add their own veggies of their liking and sauce at the other end of the table. I love this concept way better than pre-made tacos. Huge plus, the guys working the stand were so friendly. Serving size did not disappoint AND they never judged me for how many times I kept going back.

I'm glad I stopped in. It's about a six minute walk from the Hilton hotel downtown. The lady answered. The phone was very friendly and took care of me. Food : the carne Asada taco was actually really good. It's top notch. Easy five stars for that taco. I like how they put the melted white cheese it's cool to perfection! Absolutely my favorite taco I had. Now the pastor taco wasn't that good. It was like 2 out of 5 stars. It was okay. The pineapple cuts were too big. Like I said the carne asada is the way to go! Easy five stars for that one.

Visited Austin and had to try One Taco for breakfast--and I'm so glad I did! The tacos were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the Barbacoa taco--tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food and great service--can't ask for more. Definitely a must-visit spot for breakfast tacos in Austin!

We walked from the hotel and ended up eating here twice! I had the extra cheesy volcan tacos they were so good I could smell how they tasted when I walked in. The carve asada was a little salty but it didn't stop me from devouring them! If you come in down the alley like we did you'll walk through what looks to be a little bar area walk-through there and then follow the signs to find the tacos. There were some people walking in with small children as we were walking out and they looked confused walking into the bar and I showed them just keep going you'll find the tacos and then they laughed. Everyone inside was nice and very friendly they run a super efficient operation and it's very clean. Soon as someone gets up somebody cleans the table because somebody's already waiting for a table. The whole thing is like an assembly line you get in line you order you get in line you get your food you walk around the corner and you get a table. Keep it moving people! This is just an amazing taco place with some amazing people highly recommend if you are in the area to go for it. The second time we came back and got more tacos to go and had to pay for parking around the corner so I don't know that it's convenient unless you're walking because parking was really expensive over there I think we paid $20 for 15 minutes.

I ordered an al pastor, lengua, and asada taco, and honestly, they were all so good. The asada was my favorite, but the other two were right behind it. The chicken was shredded and could've used a little more seasoning for my taste. I'm also not a huge fan of lettuce in a burrito, so that may have played a part in it not being my favorite. That being said, I'm definitely coming back because those tacos were SO good. Next time, I want to give the burrito another shot and order it my way. Al pastor is on the more firm side rather than fatty soft pieces, I think it's a decent balance although would've liked a bit more soft (personal preference). It's not impressive enough for me to go out of my way to eat, but it's a really good choice if you're passing through already. OMG where do I start? My plans started horribly today, and I didn't even plan on eating here today,…read morebut the food here at Veracruz All Natural completely turned my day around. I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. I had plans, but the Universe had other plans for me that were superior. Try Veracruz All Natural --- and if your limited on $$$, you can snag 3 EXCEPTIONAL LOADED TACOS for about $20, that you will not find anywhere else!

I walked into this unassuming restaurant and perused the menu, which felt like Mexican tarot cards. Pictures. Titles. Small description. It all looked basic. But simple food made with fresh ingredients and seasoned well has won Michelin stars. Unfortunately, I don't foresee them receiving one. The al pastor taco was tasty. The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. I said thank you and made the long walk fighting the heat of the dragon's breath once again. The story does not stop there, I thought 3 tacos, a drink, and guacamole couldn't honestly cost $43. The guilt of spending that kind of money on such little food that was also just average, screamed in my conscience. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife. I took the long walk back, stood at the counter for what felt like 10 minutes, and again it felt like a chore to get me what I paid for. No sorry. I would suggest taking a little longer walk to Taqueria de Diez

One of them was the Migos taco, which was delicious. I love that the tortilla chips and they were nice and crunchy still and not soggy. I also got a taco called the Cherrywood, which had bacon cheese, egg, potato, and avocado, and it was delicious. During that time, it has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in all of Austin. I absolutely love the food and the rooftop patio that overlooks downtown/the park, and it will forever be somewhere I continue to go, especially during happy hour. I have tried every vegetarian item on their menu, and while everything is great, my personal favorites are: - cheese enchiladas with mole verde (I get this 99% of the time because they are my favorite enchilada in town) - the chile rellano (it's listed in the sides, but I promise you that it can be a meal in itself) - their rice (comes with many of their plates or inside of their enchiladas) is actually soooooo good and one of the things I look forward to - queso (nothing different about it, but it's just a really good standard queso) - flaquita (spicy watermelon margarita; I don't need to say more) - sangria blanca (super refreshing) Up until a few months ago, I would have given this place five stars, but I've noticed a decline in service that is making me knock it down to a four. For example, they used to give free chips and salsa the second you sat down, but the last three times, I've had to ask them for it (pro tip: ask for chips and salsa!!). I've also noticed slower and less attentive service. Overall, I still love El Alma, and when it comes to food and vibes, it has withstood the test of time. Everyone I introduce to El Alma falls in love (my sister visits me once a year, and El Alma is always on the agenda). Not only have I been coming here multiple times a year for the past five years, but I know I will be coming for as long as they are around.
