3.5 stars rounded up. Staff is amazing & welcoming & the prices were right for street tacos however the flavors were lacking for me a bit with the chicken and asado tacos. You shouldn't have to dress them in lime and salsa for good flavors. Good bit of indoor seating and seems like a popping spot for lunch!

Walked here after getting a local recommendation. My taco was fabulous, I made it a combo and added queso and was very happy. And every day is a good day with horchata! Easy street access, limited indoor seating, fast, fresh and hot food. Will go again if in the area!

Somewhere in the chaos of downtown Austin you can find OneTaco - Frost Tower. One of many locations, this spot is conveniently located on the ground floor right next to a parking garage. The atmosphere was decent, a taco joint with self serve salsa and a few seats towards the back. Service was friendly and the food came out quick too. We tried a few tacos and cheese quesadillas so we had a diverse spread. As far as tacos go, it's hard to make bad tacos and these were about as middle of the road as they come. We were very excited for the birria taco and it fell very flat, the corn tortillas don't taste too fresh and the consome was pretty bland. The al pastor taco was okay, not a huge fan of pineapple on it but we can't dock points for something we could easily choose to remove. The best taco by far was the carne asada, it was juicy and full of flavor, all around delicious. They offer two vegetarian taco options which was helpful since on of our friends is vegetarian and they really liked them curing their flavorfulness. Our cheese quesadillas were okay, again hard to mess up cheese and bread. The flour tortillas definitely taste better than the corn here, which is something we don't come across often. The final verdict is that OneTaco is a middle of the road taco joint that is a great option for anyone finishing off a night on 6th to head on over to.

Staff and service was great. Ordered 3 breakfast tacos--el Clásico , taco jefe, and buenos días. Clásico was basic and kind of bland, but the other two were fantastic! They also had a tasty salsa verde.

Came here as I needed something quick and cheap which was walkable from my hotel. Ordered the carne asada, al pastor, and birria. It was solid, really good portion size. Obviously can't compare to L.A. street tacos because that's what I'm used to, but it got the job done. Staff was really friendly here. They had a smile on their face at all times. Even gave me some extra consome when I accidentally spilled some. Good meal, but nothing that makes me need to absolutely come back.

Went for the breakfast tacos. Originally ordered 2 and then saw someone eating the pancake taco and decided I needed it too :) Great spot for a quick breakfast.

Came in here cuz I needed a godamn snacky and was craving a mother fuckin quesadilla, this place delivered. Such chill vibe, food came out fast, plenty of seating. Tacos and quesadillas are micro but good price, like less than $7 for this satiating snack. Tasted yum as fuck, really hit the spot. Woman working the counter was hella nice. No complaints!! Would come to this place for snack time again

Small taco joint. Not a lot of seating. Good street tacos. Very flavorful. Staff was welcoming/friendly. Tacos were ready pretty quickly. I'd go back for a quick inexpensive meal. We spent just under $35 for 6 tacos and two sodas.

Barbacoa Taco

I had the pleasure of learning about this place catering style in a parking lot at a Howler Brothers FC Party. The Barbacoa is BOMB. I think I had like 3 of them. Ok ok maybe 4.... I even wanted to ask them when the party was wrapping up if they had extra barbacoa that needed a home to go to. But...I didn't. Still kicking myself for not even trying lol. Juicy but not greasy. Corn tortilla was sturdy but not too thick. Veggie topping options were fresh. The flavor on point - I didn't even need to add their house sauce. And to speak for the catering - the setup was a great idea. They had heated servers of each of the meats and made your taco fresh to order. Each person could add their own veggies of their liking and sauce at the other end of the table. I love this concept way better than pre-made tacos. Huge plus, the guys working the stand were so friendly. Serving size did not disappoint AND they never judged me for how many times I kept going back.

I'm glad I stopped in. It's about a six minute walk from the Hilton hotel downtown. The lady answered. The phone was very friendly and took care of me. Food : the carne Asada taco was actually really good. It's top notch. Easy five stars for that taco. I like how they put the melted white cheese it's cool to perfection! Absolutely my favorite taco I had. Now the pastor taco wasn't that good. It was like 2 out of 5 stars. It was okay. The pineapple cuts were too big. Like I said the carne asada is the way to go! Easy five stars for that one.

Visited Austin and had to try One Taco for breakfast--and I'm so glad I did! The tacos were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the Barbacoa taco--tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food and great service--can't ask for more. Definitely a must-visit spot for breakfast tacos in Austin!

We knew that Austin is a foodie city and it didn't disappoint in the slightest in hitting all those food types that we were wanting to try. We enthusiastically marked off "Mexican" by coming to Taqueria De Diez. It wasn't in our bookmarks to try. I believe we came across it in a Google search or a Yelp search and we're impressed with the review score and decided to go check it out. It didn't disappoint at all. The review score average definitely held up. We got tacos here. I got three Asada tacos and I have to say that these tacos are the best I have had in recent memory. And I am all about tacos. I mean I LOVE tacos so that is saying a lot as I am such a snob with Mexican food. I can say with quite a bit of confidence... and this is even a bigger statement... these tacos may very well be the best I have EVER had. Now, I know that's saying a lot but they were so, so good. Months later from our dining experience there I am still thinking about this place. So if I could give more than five stars I most certainly would. Sometimes the no frills restaurants are the best and that is kind of what's going on here. It somewhat arranged with placing your order a tad bit like a cafeteria (but not an actual cafeteria). You place your food order and then wait for it at the end. Lots of customers take their orders to go but there is spots where you can dine in also. Steve and I did just that and we sat and enjoyed our tacos. So what makes me praise these tacos so much? I don't know for sure but the roll out of flavor on your tongue was just magical. The steak I imagine was prepared with perfection and got all of the tender, loving care it needed to be as amazing as it was. The rest of the toppings were great too as well as the sauces and the taco sized tortillas were probably a likely suspect as well in their perfection. It was so perfect. Taco bliss indeed. I long for these tacos again and if we are even somewhat close to Austin seeking this place out will be a no brainer for us.

The brothers traveled around different areas throughout the US trying different variations before deciding how they wanted to style the tacos. This place is in an alley, and it's very unassuming. It's actually considered a "reverse speakeasy" with a gorgous bar with a disco ball in the front, and mouthwatering food in the back. As everything in De Diez are made completely from scratch (including the tortillas), prices are very, very, fair. Service is fast and simple, your food is made in front of you by very friendly workers

What do I mean by this, well you need to make sure you can find parking because this place is so delicious that it's packed most of the times I have visited. The burritos are generously sized but not over bloated or making your feel bloated, stuffed with tender meat of your choice, well-seasoned filling, and wrapped tight enough to stay together all the way to the last bite. Every one I've had has felt fresh and satisfying without being heavy. The tacos are just as impressive. The tortillas are warm and soft, and the fillings are bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned meats to fresh toppings like cilantro, onion, and a bright salsa that ties everything together. A squeeze of lime over the top and you've got a taco that's hard to stop eating. You will be offer corn or flour tortilla. For al pastor meat, my choice is flour and for carne asada my choice is always corn. The service is friendly and quick, even when the line is long, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on your break or feeding a crowd, Las Trancas delivers every time. Highly recommended. Once, you have place your order you will receive a beeper to let you know when it is ready. I say my wait time has been less than five minutes honestly. They have covered and open seating. Al pastor is on the more firm side rather than fatty soft pieces, I think it's a decent balance although would've liked a bit more soft (personal preference). It's not impressive enough for me to go out of my way to eat, but it's a really good choice if you're passing through already. OMG where do I start? My plans started horribly today, and I didn't even plan on eating here today,…read morebut the food here at Veracruz All Natural completely turned my day around. I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. I had plans, but the Universe had other plans for me that were superior. Try Veracruz All Natural --- and if your limited on $$$, you can snag 3 EXCEPTIONAL LOADED TACOS for about $20, that you will not find anywhere else!

I walked into this unassuming restaurant and perused the menu, which felt like Mexican tarot cards. Pictures. Titles. Small description. It all looked basic. But simple food made with fresh ingredients and seasoned well has won Michelin stars. Unfortunately, I don't foresee them receiving one. The al pastor taco was tasty. The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. I said thank you and made the long walk fighting the heat of the dragon's breath once again. The story does not stop there, I thought 3 tacos, a drink, and guacamole couldn't honestly cost $43. The guilt of spending that kind of money on such little food that was also just average, screamed in my conscience. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife. I took the long walk back, stood at the counter for what felt like 10 minutes, and again it felt like a chore to get me what I paid for. No sorry. I would suggest taking a little longer walk to Taqueria de Diez
