My Desert Financial Credit Union Nightmare My wife died on…read moreOctober 25th, I lost my job a week later, and I have a daughter on disability. She had accounts that did not have my name on them. I'll skip to the end. After multiple attempts, each time receiving a different answer and incurring legal fees, it came down to bringing my daughter to the bank to cash in an IRA that was less than $1000.00. They gave us a check. For SSI Reasons, she has a cap on how much money she can have in the account, and it was already over the cap. I took her across the lobby to cash the IRA check, and they refused to cash it. On the good side, I was able to buy my wife her headstone. The final problem was my daughter's account that holds SSI money. I had to go to the SSI office to get a letter stating that I'm the party responsible. I returned the letter and tried to have the account changed so I could gain access. They told me that I had to wait until they heard from SSI. I called SSI, and they said that any existing money was between D.F. and me. I checked the account online; my name was on it. I went to the credit union, and they told me I still didn't have access. I had to beg her for her back rent money. Too: Desert Financial Credit Union, you win. Keep the money January 29th, I'm going back to SSI and having the deposit moved to another Credit Union I can trust. At least you won't get anymore. I'm selling my house and will cover expenses until she gets caught up. If Desert Financial says, "I'm making this up," they have a record of each visit and can publish it. My son bought a used car from Cactus Jacks. He's in the Autism spectrum and has memory problems…read more The interest rate is terrible, and he can't afford to pay rent and is homeless. He inquired about selling the car back and was told he would have to pay 3000.00, he can't afford rent how can he pay 3000.00. Initially when he was in buying the car I received a call asking did I know him. I didn't get any information of who was calling me, only when I said yes, I was quickly hung up on. It's getting very hot outside and he has been sleeping in his car since October. He would like to return this car without having to pay the 3000.00 that he doesn't have. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. Laurie Lindvall

My experience with Cactus Jack's was extremely disappointing and stressful from beginning to end…read more I originally purchased a vehicle from the Surprise, AZ location. While test driving the car, I noticed that the heat did not work. I was told this would be repaired. Shortly after getting the car, I took it in for an oil change and was told there was a small oil leak, and the airbag light also came on. I had been told when purchasing the vehicle that it had not been in any accidents, but after further investigation it appeared that the vehicle had previously been involved in one. Before going to Surprise, I also dealt with the Country Club location. My interaction there with Liz was not a good experience. I felt rushed and pressured into accepting just any vehicle, and when I had concerns I was basically told that I shouldn't expect much more from a used car. When I went to the Surprise location, Pedro in customer service was actually very helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the vehicle itself still had multiple issues. Eventually I was told to come pick up the car because it was "ready." However, when I arrived, nothing had truly been fixed. The heat still did not work, even though they said they had replaced the thermostat. When running the A/C there was a strong smell like burning wires. I was also told the oil leak wasn't actually a leak but leftover oil from a previous repair, and that they had simply cleaned the area. Things escalated when I spoke with Mark, the manager at the Glendale location. When I explained that I was not comfortable keeping the car due to the unresolved problems especially the airbag light still being on, which means the airbag may not deploy in an accident he became very dismissive and argumentative. Instead of addressing my concerns, he suggested that if I wanted a car with no issues, I should buy a 2026 vehicle. I was also told that what I was experiencing was just "buyer's remorse," which was frustrating because my concerns were about safety and unresolved repairs. The interaction became uncomfortable and unprofessional. I felt disrespected and dismissed while simply trying to explain the issues with a car that had been in the shop longer than I had actually driven it. I eventually made it clear that I would not accept being spoken to that way and requested either a vehicle exchange or a refund. At one point I even saw another customer successfully switch vehicles, so I believed that was a reasonable request. I contacted the original location where I purchased the vehicle to explain the situation. After several conversations with different employees, I was ultimately told to bring the vehicle back and that I would be refunded. This entire experience left me shocked and disappointed. Purchasing a vehicle should not involve this level of stress, dismissiveness, and lack of accountability especially when safety concerns like an airbag warning light are involved. My advice to anyone purchasing a used vehicle: take your time, inspect everything carefully, check for leaks, test the heat and A/C, drive the car at different speeds, and pay attention to any unusual smells or warning lights. Don't feel pressured into making a decision because you need a vehicle quickly. Based on my experience, I would rate this company zero stars.

However, as of today, I no longer want to be a customer of theirs. I purchased a car from them with an amazing interest rate 2 years ago. That car was stolen, and ultimately deemed totaled, by my insurance company. I purchased a new vehicle (again through them) and, while that process was smooth, thank you very much to our CIC and the new economy... the interest rate is terrible. They were completely unresponsive / non-compliant with my insurance company and their title broker in getting information back to them. It took over two weeks to pay out my claim (meanwhile racking up daily interest on both vehicles and two insurance payments) from my insurance company because they were awaiting paperwork from AZFCU. My claim has now been paid in full - and sitting with them - for a week. The car is still racking up daily interest, as is my new vehicle, and I am not able to submit for reimbursement on my tags until the lien is off the vehicle. The icing on the cake was waiting for 45 minutes on hold today to be told, "Oh, sorry, our system is down," by someone clearly not in the United States when they finally picked up. The second everything is settled (they owe me GAP money and a refund for my additional coverages) I am refinancing the car away from them and closing my accounts. What a nightmare.
