On this day, I had a special cutlet sandwich with a pop-up of influencer Kimono Mama's delicious sauce! The sweet and spicy sauce was crazy delicious and very satisfying in a nostalgic way. Kimono Mama also served the restaurant with great care. It seems that the sauce is also available at Whole Foods. We went there as soon as the cafe opens in the morning because limited quantity ,, but there was already a huge line. I love that it focuses on queer writers as well as writers of color. They had a great selection and I left 3 books later and had a delightful matcha latte and a mimosa. I intentionally have been supporting local businesses with a focus on Black and minority owned businesses. I'm excited to dive into these books during the colder months which tend to be my recluse season. They also serve brunch on weekends, have a ton of community events and talks. They also have a beautiful lounge downstairs where they serve wine after 5pm. They also have a really pretty outdoor area in the back but it was a little too chilly to sit back there and read. I can just imagine how great it'll be in the warmer months. I can just picture myself, perched on a seat, sipping on my matcha...and mimosa reading a good book! Check em out.
