The Hemlock salesman first said, unfriendly-like, that he didn't have the matching screw. I said I didn't require the exact match - only something that would not be a sharp contrast. He unhelpfully showed me a shiny silver finished screws. Then, I replied I was thinking black, because of the antiqued finish. He rudely showed 1/2' black screw. I already miss the helpful Posters Hardware in Fairfield. I ended up at Home Depo,t where they were surprisingly helpful and had what I needed at 1/10 of the price. I will never go back to Hemlock Hardware - their just plain rude.

To make matters worse, the replacement belt they installed shredded immediately after receiving it back from them. When I called simply to check on the status of a replacement part, I was met with extremely unprofessional behavior. The person I spoke with, who state he was the owner, swore at me during the conversation. No customer should be insulted or verbally abused for asking a reasonable question, as I had been waiting 3 weeks for the part to arrive. The entire experience was frustrating and unacceptable. I would gladly pay more to do business elsewhere if it meant receiving competent service and being treated with basic respect There are plenty of companies that value their customers and stand behind their work; unfortuanely, this is not one of them.

Dishonest and incompetent. I told Richie the fireplace had a fan and was for heating and the doors were supposed to close. They used tempered glass not ceramic-only found this out when I went to a different place to have it replaced again. Richie lied and said I told him otherwise and said he remembered---total scum bag in my book. PS- they also screwed when they put the glass in by covering the hole for the hardware- but after 3 months of waiting, I was just going to deal with that--until it shattered (NOTE: Richie was the one who told me to take out the hardware)...
