I chose this business because of the positive reviews and location. I needed a mobile VIN verification to get my out of state vehicle titled in Calif. I called and we set up an appt. First: Eric, I believe to be the owner, showed up an hour late for our appt. It would've been respectful had he provided a courtesy call to inform me rather than me calling him to see where he was. It wasted an hour of my work time. Next, when Eric arrived, and during the VIN verification, I asked him if he was willing to give me a discount (roughly 50.00 from 300.) His response was immature and unprofessional. He basically asked me "does 50.00 mean that much to you?" which is not something you tell a customer in my opinion. I also don't believe theres anything wrong in asking for a discount especially if you bring more business. I wouldn't be upset if he said"sorry but I don't alter my fees". But don't be offensive or rude. I paid him for one VIN verification. Next, I called him later that day (Wed) to schedule a time to have him process my title docs on the one vehicle now that I had my VIN verified. We set an appt for noon on Thurs. One hour before our appt. on Thurs he canceled and told me to come Friday at noon which again wasted my time. On Friday I messaged him and asked him for a 3pm appt and he told me not to come after all, but to come on Sat at noon. I told him that would be difficult and could he still see me that day. He never responded. Sat at 11:05 I messaged him that I had still not received a response to my messages. I told him that I would be there at noon anyways as he had requested. Just before noon he responded that he must cancel AGAIN and that I could come in on Sun between noon and 2pm. I couldn't believe how ridiculous this had become and how awful this guy was at respecting peoples time or efforts. Someone that can't keep their appointments and cancels over 4 times in a row is simply careless and unprofessional. He didn't seem to care that each time he was messing my schedule up, or wasting my time, not to mention the frustration and delay in getting my title processed. I told him essentially that I wasn't going to risk ruining my Sunday. He responded that he would meet me at 10am on Mon. I had to again adjust my schedule but on Mon I got there on-time and we completed the paperwork. Based on my experience, and the multiple instances where our appointments and my time were shown such little respect, I cannot in good faith give this business anything more than an 'OK'. A 5 star review is deserving only to those businesses that offer the highest level of care and professionalism in all aspects of their operation, especially with regard to punctuality and customer service. I juat had to post how amazing this place and the owner Eric. I came in to get passport photos and it was so easy it took less than 5 minutes to get everything done. What I was most impressed by was how down to earth cool Eric was. He is a very religious man and made me feel at home with his warmth and generosity. So much so that I literally had to make a review after leaving his establishment. This is literally what we all would hope the dmv would be. For 15 dollars this had to be one of the best experiences in customer service that I have had hands down. Have to give much love to my Armenian brother Eric whatever needs you have dont hesitate. I have always got my business taken care of at DMV: how complicated could the DMV paper work be? Anyone could fill out the form and pay the fee. However, when a situation is complicated, multiple visits to DMV probably could still not get it right. Eric of One Stop is professional and experienced. He listened to me and advised the most effective course of action to resolve a complicated situation. They say they open at 8am... went there at 8am, no one there waited for 15 minutes, no one there came back at 9am, no one there waited another 15 minutes, no one there I went to another spot (Rose City Registration Services) 1 minute down the street. They WERE there and completed my out-of-state registration (which included vin verification, possession of my registration tags and license plates) on the spot within 15 minutes. I was helped out by Eric on a Saturday afternoon. I needed to get the Livescan fingerprinting done. I walked right in and Eric was the only one there. Got helped right away and probably wasn't in there for more than 15 minutes. I sat at his desk and he checked my drivers license and the information on my form. Make sure you bring three copies!!! He then proceeded to step into a back office and filled out some info on the laptop. He then asked me to step to the back and join him. I confirmed the info he had typed was correct. Then he started the finger printing process. Once that was done I just had to pay. It was 49 for the fee then a 25 rolling fee. There's also a 3 fee for credit cards so bring cash if you don't want to take the extra hit. I was happy the process was done quickly. Would highly recommend. read more
