I normally don't do reviews. However I have to share my experience with One Stop Auto Service located in Brentwood, California.  I had the absolute best customer service ever.  I had a family emergency on a Friday evening prior to a holiday weekend.  I called several shops and Noone was able to help me until Monday.  I was about to give up but I made one more last call and it was to One Stop Auto Service. After explaining my situation with what my vehicle was doing they seemed very happy to help me. They squeezed me in at the very end of the day, diagnosed my car and I authorized the work and shortly was on the road to my family.  The mechanic was very knowledgeable and explained in full detail so that I understood. Ashley, the office administrator was my 1st contact when I called and she made me feel important and was eager to help. The service from my 1st call to the office and then mechanic of my car was 110% Above and beyond my expectations.  I recommend them over any other shop. Went to Brentwood for a couples massage with my lady, it happened to be the day my AC started blowing Hot air... in 105 degree heat!!! I called a couple local places, and One Stop quoted me the best price, and charged by the pound on freon when other places in town charged a flat rate of TRIPLE what I paid at one stop. We arrived, and talked to Chad and I went in to do Paperwork as Chad harmlessly flirted with my fiance (I understand Chad Shes GORGEOUS) We headed next door to an Air Conditioned Mexican food place, came back and the car was done. Chad told me, that JUST IN CASE there was a leak, he put some dye in the system! Went to go pay and I dont know how it came up, but the nice lady inside alluded to having some native artifacts.... I checked them out but didnt get any... All in all... Great experience! Glad we found them! Would recommend! Also.... a HUGE THANK YOU!!!!!! read more

It's ASTONISHING to me that places like this stay in business! Perhaps it's how they give you an estimate and add an additional $100, after services you didn't agree to, otherwise you don't get your car back? Or is it because they charge $150/hour, which is more than an doctor? And IF you get your car back, your glovebox might be BROKEN OPEN with papers everywhere and they'll just say "Oh, ya, it came open when I was driving it." HOW ABOUT FIXING IT THEN? And why is my door panel falling off now?? But don't DARE assume they'd fix that either? And if you try to talk to the miserable lady at the front desk, carrying her baby around the office with a daycare in the background, you'll have to wait because she's too busy talking on the phone call she picked up in the middle of talking to you. After doing my best to communicate with such "business people" who are the epitome of UNPROFESSIONALISM, they tried keeping my car to SELL for money! Hopefully they spend some of their dirty money on diapers because they all could use some. I can't stand greedy people who take advantage of others. Karma's such a beautiful thing. We brought our car in for issue with grinding noise coming from the front wheels when breaking and most probably with lack of mechanical expertise, the mechanic replaced what he thought was the wheel bearing in the back wheel (idk why the noise from font end would have anything to do with bearings in the back) and cost me $500. After getting my car back, I still have the same grinding noise but this time I took it to a different mechanic and found front break pads were worn to the metal with the bolt stripped. Not sure if the mechanic saw the problem and just did not want deal with stripped bolt or just plain uneducated with this matter. After the break was replaced the grinding sound was gone. read more

I find it odd that all the 1 star reviews are filtered. Maybe they're paying Yelp with the money they use to rip off customers!?!? Just a thought. I had my car "repaired" here, a couple belts replaced prior to me having to drive 2 hours to a continuing education course in Santa Rosa. I needed the belts but especially wanted them prior to this 4 hour round trip journey. The NEXT DAY I don't even get 4 miles from home and this extremely loud noise starts coming from the hood of my car!! I only made it to Oakley!!!! Thank God my dad was out of town so I was able to swing by his house and pick up his car. I drive to Santa Rosa in his truck and they send me home, if you're late you can't participate and they sure did keep my $200 I paid for the CE course. I get back to the 925, take my car to One Stop (ONE STOP my a** more like numerous stops!!!!!!!!) Had a friend pick me up and they call me about 90 minutes later saying they didn't tighten a bolt. "Oh its just a bolt" She says. Then tells me that they have a break job they need to finish and I can pick up my car tomorrow!?!? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW about YOU fix what YOU have already been PAID for!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her ummm ok good thing I have an alternative vehicle right now because this never happens and I need to get to work tomorrow. Next day, I pick up my car and I'm asking the mechanic are you sure its safe to drive now because I'm a commuter??? He looks at me like I'm crazy with a HUGE ATTITUDE and says again, "it was just a missing bolt" Hmmmmmm thats funny cuz his wife told me it was a loose bolt. BAD BUSINESS, CAN'T BE TRUSTED. CHECK OUT THE FILTERED REVIEWS. P.S. This happened about 5 months ago. When I told the mechanics wife (the one holding the baby at the front desk) about how I was unable to go to my course because of this while I'm in tears, Her only response was "show them the receipt!" I really hate to say this because the owners seem to mean well, but their lack of mechanical expertise is painfully obvious. We've had to bring our vehicle back over and over for an AC issue and paid for a new compressor TWICE, when they should have been knowledgeable and thorough enough to see that the leak was due to a cracked cover!!! They do the bare minimum and will leave broken or missing values, gaskets, bolts, etc. around the immediate area they are working on, unless you tell them to fix it. But unless you are a mechanic and up under the car with them, how can you know? That's what the pros are for, right??? And don't even get me started on what I found out about our powersteering, and transmission issues once I finally got wise and went somewhere else. Why didn't these people see these things too? Because they do NOT know what they're doing, unfortunately, that's why. My advice to EVERYONE who even thinks about going here is four-fold: 1) Always, always, ALWAYS get an apples to apples second opinion before you spin your wheels with these people. 2) Do not expect a timely call back, timely work, or even for the office to be open during their hours because they constantly juggle home schooling and other personal matters during the work day. 3) Expect your car to be filthy when you get it back because they do not use mats or wipe down their greasy finger prints after they've been in your car. In fact, the waiting area and whole place is pretty grimy, which should have been my first clue. 4) Tell them not to clear your vehicle's computer codes before they've actually repaired the issue, so another shop can run the report to give you a second opinion. That should go without saying, but again I truly think these folks just don't communicate with each other well or know what they're doing. My advice is go somewhere that cares about their presentation, accuracy, and work ethic. You get what you pay for. read more

On Sat June 15,2019 went here for an oil and filter change. Filthiest waiting room and office I've ever been to. Asked mechanic what oil he was using. He said 0-20W (correct) and then said to me "I know what I'm doing!" Wrong!! Car was done and got the bill. Bill doesn't show what brand of oil used. Outside I noticed the hood wasn't fully closed. Raised the hood and noticed #1- oil filler cap was sitting on the wheel well and #2-in place of the filler cap was the funnel he used to fill the oil. This problem could have caused an engine seize if enough oil blew past the uncapped oil filler spot. Remember this guy said he knew what he was doing! read more

Service shop is a bit old, but as long as the work is good, that's what matters. First time there for an oil change. Brought in a local competitor's coupon, they beat it by 10%. The mechanic I had spoke with on the phone wasn't too accurate on his availability that day, but perhaps I can ask more specifically next time. Their prices were very reasonable, and receptionist/manager was friendly. I didn't get a call back as stated when car was done, but it was done on time. I do plan to return. One concern I had is that the mechanic didn't secure the oil filter and it was leaking. read more

For now this is my go to place for oil changes. They even honored a coupon that I brought from the wrong place believing it was thiers. They even beat the price. There were a few things that irked me though. I made an appointment for 8 am and wasn't out the door until 9. For an oil change I feel like that's an eternity. They didn't put a reminder to change the oil on the windshield and I guarantee you I'll forget the mileage. I'll give em another chance because I'll only save about $5 doing it myself and my time is worth more than that. read more

Looks aren't everything with this place but hey, it's about getting my car fixed, not how shiny and decked out the shop is. I had called ahead to see what availability they had for that day. I had told them I had the Check Engine light pop on and was asked whether I wanted to just drop it off or wait for the results. I prefer to hear the bad news in person so they gave me a time to drop in. Just so people know, you have to go to the house next to/behind the garage to get checked in, not at the shop itself. The mechanic was kind enough to let me just walk through rather that to go all the way around. Was told it'd take 10-15 minutes so decided to check out the antique shop next door while they hooked the car up to the computer. Called me once they diagnosed the problem - O2 sensor, then highly suggested taking care of it now, rather than having to fix that and the Catalytic Converter later. I'm a Firefly/Serenity fan and know that's some serious business, even if it's not a spaceship so I gave the okay to do it now. It was going to take another 20-30 so roomie and I walked across the street to grab a snack at Designer Dogs (very yummy!) then look for stuff we needed for the house at Ace Hardware. Once the car was ready, they called me right away and we headed back over. I know nothing about repair pricing but it came to $318.75 for the inspection, repair and parts, and the light was no longer on when I started up the car so I was happy. Very friendly, informative and quick service with a smile. Sure, maybe the shop and reception area could use some TLC but I'm just happy they could get my car working again. read more

My wife and I have both had our cars in there on several occasions in the past for very competitively-priced oil changes as well as having some major work done on one of our vehicles. The staff is genuinely friendly, extremely knowledgeable, fair and honest in their business practices, and I'd recommend their services to anyone. Their integrity is admirable and cannot be disputed! Those are the POSITIVE aspects. On a NOT-SO-POSITIVE note however, there is so sense of pride when it comes to the appearance and cleanliness of their waiting room. The walls look like they haven't been painted since the beginning of time; the carpet should have been replaced many years ago, and their furniture (specifically their couch) needs either a MAJOR CLEANING or needs to be replaced...probably the latter! I'm not one to pass judgment on others, but when I have to immediately wash the clothes I wore as soon as I returned home after sitting in their waiting room, I have to make an exception! There are several reasons why I put full stars for this shop: - Purchasing a vehicle off Craigslist is always extremely stressful, especially when you're not sure where to place trust. One Stop Auto Service answered their phones promptly, found me an appointment, and helped me out for a pre-purchasing inspection. The woman at the front desk was very polite and answered all my questions and the mechanic was one of the most trustworthy and helpful people have found at a mechanic so far. I took a hybrid vehicle in for a rough inspection just to see if it was worth the buy. I was wary because I have known some sellers to bribe mechanics or fake information, whatever necessary to unload their car for a high price. When I spoke to the mechanic afterward to consult with him on the flaws he found with the electrical system, he made it clear that their priority was honesty and quality work. He gave me all the information I needed and seemed to genuinely care about the work and advice he offered me. When the engine light came on the mechanic ran the OBD-II trouble codes and found multiple errors. Even if the vehicle did not currently have these issues, the scanner also checks for the history of the vehicle, meaning they were either once a problem or are pending and may come up in the next few hundred miles of use (CONFIRMED information by a ford dealership, as well as by the knowledgeable mechanic at One Stop). Both of these options were red flags to me, and I was extremely grateful that they warned me of this when other places have not. The seller, Nik J. (a previous reviewer) did not appreciate the honest work this mechanic offered me and found blame in the shop for his own vehicle's discrepancies. If I ever need another mechanic in Brentwood this would be my first choice and I would highly recommend them to others for their amazing service! read more

Once I had a set of brakes replaced that started squeaking within a year; Ashley & team replaced them for free! Their prices are very competitive. They don't charge an arm and a leg to change the oil in our hybrid. One time hubby took the Prius to Oil Can Henry's because he was in a rush, and they wanted $100 for an oil change! I wouldn't give this place 1/4 of a star. They are only out to rip you off! Your car will come back with more damage done to it and parts missing. Don't bother telling them time is of the essence because they won't listen. A family member took their car here for a simple issue and by the time they finally got the car back 3 weeks later, we had to bring it back because they put the engine back together wrong. The vehicle didn't even make 20 miles after leaving there. Then had to be towed back because all the oil was pouring out of the middle of it!! Think you will be going in for a simple oil change?? Guess again....they will ALWAYS find SOMETHING else wrong with your car. However if you take it somewhere else to have that other thing looked at you will be told there is nothing wrong! Oh and keep your receipts of all work done because they will have the same thing on your car "go wrong" with in a year. They told me twice in one year I needed a new water pump..... Don't be fooled by the fact they call themselves "Christians" they will still rip you off! Take my advice, save some money and take your car anywhere but here! Needed some suspension work done on my van. Brought in a competitor's quote, and they not only matched the price but also dropped it %10 (I had a coupon). Nice lady working the front desk, although she looked a little perturbed by my piercings and I had to wait a good 15 minutes for her to get off the phone. The giant ceramic Jesus head was a bit creepy too. Overall great service though! Had the beast fixed up that night and picked her up in the morning. I've been to lots of other mechanics and I always feel like I'm being cheated on my work. I once had a electrical issue with one of my cars and I took it to a auto repair place that specializes in ONLY auto electrical work and they could not fix it. I took it to one stop and they found the problem right away and fixed it. Ever since I been taking my cars here and I've always been treated very professional and never a single issue. There are some people no matter what you do you can't please and I feel the people who left bad reviews here are those kinda people. I've had the worst experiences at many other places but not one little issue here at all. I think I'm pretty good at reading people and I honestly can say I feel everyone here is being straight up with me and I don't feel like I'm getting lied to like I do with other shops. If any of my friends have a car problem I always recommend this place( they are friends and I wouldn't steer them in the wrong direction). This place is HORRIBLE! I went a total of 2 times....Never again. 1st Time: I went to get an oil change for my car, they said I need a tune-up...I agreed and got the tune-up. They up sold me on "better" spark plugs...I paid significantly more for the "better" spark plugs. My car seem to run no better than it was before. 2nd Time: I brought my wife's car in for a tune-up, they said she needed "better" spark plugs...We paid more for her spark plugs as well... This is the kicker....My wife's car started running worse than it did before the tune-up. We had it checked out by a different Mechanic Auto Shop in Antioch...to find out that One Stop Auto DID NOT use "better" spark plugs...THEY IN FACT used cheap regular ones but led us to believe that they were better and charged us more for them. Also, they DID NOT install the spark plugs correctly and actually caused damage to our engine. It's spark plugs for God's sake....Install them properly! --Aside from the POOR service of our vehicles, the place is messy, paperwork is everywhere, the office seriously smells awful, the receptionist had pink eye and they don't show you your old products nor do they ever talk about your vehicle. They just Up-Sell, Collect your hard-earned money and leave you with the same problems you thought they handled. They are the reason why Real Hardworking Stand up Mechanics have a bad name. People like this that claim to be "Family/Community/Church Oriented" people should be ashamed of themselves for running such an operation. Came here for an oil change which then turned into me needing spark plugs. For my car, they insisted I needed the most expensive, platinum ones, for which I agreed too. I come to find out two months later when my check engine light came on that my spark plugs were never changed and I got charged for services that were never done. Also, the waiting room area is disgusting. The room needs a painting, a new couch because the current one looks like you'll get a disease just from sitting on it. The receptionist does not care about her appearance and was working with a baby on her arm, not to mention she didn't want to shake my hand due to having Pink Eye, ewwww. Although the prices are fair, make sure you're really getting the work done that you are paying for. Ask to see the old parts for them to show you the new work. read more

My truck is my baby and I wouldn't let anyone else touch her. I've been using One-Stop for 10years. They are HONEST and wonderful. When my mother moved out here I sent her there too. She mentioned she was to have her knee replaced in a few months. Lori called my mom the day after her surgery just to see how she was doing, after only meeting my mother one time!!! On another visit Chad spent over an hour to find an electrical problem that was still under the warranty thru Chevy. He told her exactly what was wrong and sent her to the dealership and charged her nothing. My mother is in her 70's and this shop is the first she has ever come across that she trusts completely. Family owned and operated, competitive pricing, wonderful service and excellent mechanical skills. What more could you ask for??? read more

I have been going to One Stop for about 10 years now. I usually went to Toyota of Antioch for all of my "Major" tuneups and any associated problems. One time, Antioch Toyota said that I needed an $800.00 repair. I sought out a second opinion and went to One Stop on a recommendation from a close friend. After talking to Ashley, and her telling me to bring the truck in for an inspection, Chad re-diagnosed the problem, and they ended up fixing it for less than half the price that Toyota wanted. Another benefit besides price that is important to me and my wife, is that One Stop is a family run business. They are just trying to make an honest living just like us. I would rather support a local small business, than give my money to another big corporation. Besides all that, Chads wisdom and knowledge has been invaluable to me and my 3 vehicles that are only serviced at One Stop. Great Customer service by a couple of great people. My daughter needed a brake job and her funds were limited. She found the One Stop Auto Service add that promised new pads or shoes AND resurfaced rotors or drums. The price was $125 per axle and this included parts (non OEM) and labor. When she picked up her Toyota they also recommended new front sway bar bushings. A few days later I checked the sway bar bushings and found out the upper links were broken off. I also noticed that the rotors were still rough and the disc rust ring was still on the outside lip, showing that the discs were not resurfaced. The sway bar links were then replaced. I returned with my daughter to OSAS and challenged the repairs, and Chad admitted he didn't believe the rotors needed to be resurfaced so the work was not done. Chad also didn't know or remembered if the minimum rotor thickness (of 25mm) was checked. Shop Owner Ashley refused to provide her last name and at first refused any refund, but eventually agreed to refund one-half of the labor costs. You get what you pay for and this shop can't be trusted. read more

Worst place!! Last year came here for an oil change for my Audi A4. The only reason I went here is because they told us they service Audi's and plus they are open on Saturday's. Also, I was thinking what can go wrong with an OIL CHANGE . But little did I know, the oil change went fine but they never reset my service light. I realized it when I was on my way back home. I called them up and asked them if I can come back next weekend to get it fixed. The lady (I don't remember her name) was nice and said yes I can do that by myself. I was like NO!! 2009 Audi you cannot reset your service light. You have to have the scanner that will reset that service light. THEN, I REALIZED THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE!! IF THEY CLAIM TO SERVICE GERMAN CARS WOULDN'T THEY KNOW THIS!! Long story short, they were not able to fix it and were not responsive to my calls afterwards. For a year, I had to hear that annoying service light noise every morning I started my car because to get it fixed anywhere else I had to pay $150 which is absolutely unnecessary because the auto repairs should have the capacity to reset the service light!! As a business owner with a fleet of vehicles I need a shop I can trust and has reasonable rates. As an example we recently purchased a used vehicle which had just been taken to the dealer for an overheating problem. The dealer charged the previous owner $1,100 and told him they checked everything and found nothing wrong. Once we took over ownership the car overheated again. These people are horrible. They changed my timing belt, and less than a week later, my car fell apart while I was driving, and had to have it towed. They and the ones they hire are mostly on the welfare rolls. Yes, I am not making that up. They do not stand by their work, and I would be a happy camper if they were shut down. I had a nagging oil leak over the last 8 years that had gotten so bad that it was time to get it looked at. After changing the oil pan gasket and seeing more fluid, I took it back for more evaluation. A dye treatment showed that the transmission, power steering, and valve cover were leaking. After a week, my 20 year old car was finished with all the repairs and I will no longer need the drip pan in my garage! From the get-go, I never felt pressured into the service. In fact, I was offered a small, complimentary repair plus 10% off the entire job. I can't say enough. A family-owned business with labor rates that easily beat a dealership and probably your typical gas/service station. I will definitely be doing business in the future with One Stop. They treat their customers like family and the trust factor is immediate. My one small gripe was how I was told that I would need an alignment due to the power steering service, which I was told about after everything was done (this is because they do not have a machine to do it precisely). All in all, easily a 5-star rating! read more
