Really like this place. Nice atmosphere and broad menu selection. Food has always been extremely good. Large beer selection on tap. We had a party of 7 with kids. We had pizza, Mac and cheese, Michigan salad, pretzel sticks, cheese sticks, wraps and pasta dishes. Everyone really likes their selection and portions were good size. We just had delivery from here. The food is sub-par. We ordered the pretzel bites and I almost broke a nail on one of them because they were so hard. Not much flavor in the chicken wrap but I ate it because I was so hungry. The spicy feta dip was probably the best thing we received besides the hard pita slices that came with it. Such a great experience with One North. Ordered for 6 people and averaged about $20 per person and got it to-go. Everything was on time and tasted delicious! By the time we got home, we realized they'd forgotten one of the entrees and they called and said they would be sending someone with the meal AND a gift card for the inconvenience. I read the other reviews and can see what people mean about the service but for us the food made up for it. Our waitress was decent. It took a little long for her to check in with us after seated but then she was pretty good. We were there on a pretty slow Sunday night. For us the food was delicious! Our waitress recommended the Torpedo Shrimp and then I wanted the Loaded Tots. The tots were a nice surprise. I was expecting the typical tater tots from when we were kids but these felt homemade. Super crispy and fluffy inside. The shrimp was delicious and slightly crispy. We split a rack of ribs and they were SO tender and falling off the bone. read more

We ordered carryout here, but the space is really trendy and cool-looking! We would love to dine in sometime post-pandemic. We didn't order any to-go cocktails, but when we went inside to pick up our food and saw the cocktail menu, we wished we had! They had a LOT of cocktails that sounded really, really good. I got a steak, which was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, as did the sides that came with it! Their mashed potatoes were great, and their cole slaw was perfectly creamy- one of the better slaws I've had at a restaurant. We didn't order dessert either, but that was another regret as we saw the dessert menu... we will have to come back and order a lot more sometime soon! read more

This review of for their new restaurant in Lansing ( West Saginaw) which I can't find on Yelp yet. I know they are the same; just different location. Saw on FB about dining in an igloo. I got excited and wanted to try. Able to make reservation quickly but require 200$ minimum spend on food and drinks. So we invited our family too, total 5 people. In general, was worth to try to dine in an igloo. The waitress was very friendly and take care us really well. We ordered quite a lot of food and still have some to take home too. The food was good, I think we all like Nachos, pub pretzels and torpedo shrimp. My sirloin wasn't something that I was too impressed. The chili that I brought home and ate the day after was quite thick ( I guess my taste are a bit different as I always put good amount of vegetables into my chili when I cook at home and try not to thicken it too much). It seems they need a bigger heater as my mother-in-law got cold even she sat next to that small heater. Toward the end, I felt a bit cold around my legs too despite of thick socks and big boots. The zipper that opens the igloo to get in and out was half way ripped off which understandable; since the waitress had to make many trips for drinks, food and bill. read more

Great find on a Sunday night for a late dinner. Staying in Jackson, you find yourself limited on food options to dine out in, unless you eat before 8 pm. Modern looking atmosphere, open and airy. Even more so with it being a Sunday night, and Covid. Social distancing was being done with the tables and all staff had masks. Started with the drink menu, waitress made a great recommendation for the Georgia Bourbon Peach from the specialty drinks. She mentioned can't taste the bourbon, and she was right. The drink was great!! So good and great price for it too. Had fresh peaches in the drink, love it! My dining partner had a Mint Mulip, couldn't go wrong with the Tito's Vodka and the copper mug, ice cold. The extra mint was light and refreshing. For dining had the balsamic chicken with asparagus, and garlic taters. can't go wrong with garlic taters, found them a little on the cold side, not hot as I would prefer them, but still amazing. Chicken was tender, great flavor. Asparagus could have been a little less cooked, was a little mushy, I like it with a bit of a bite, but again was good. Dining partner got the fish and chips, 4 pieces, about 2 oz each maybe, wasn't a lot but he was happy overall. No room for dessert with those dang potatoes! lol, but again, I was happy on a Sunday night to find a place open up late to eat. Great place. I enjoyed it. Very modern, great for tourist. read more

Last night the wife and I ordered the sirloin, she wanted medium and I wanted med rare. Both steaks came out over cooked, well done. My wife's steak was no thicker than 1/4 inch and mine was just way over cooked. I sent mine back to the kitchen and had it removed from my bill. The kitchen is not paying attention to the details. Others in our group talked about the hamburgers being cold. So take it for what it's worth. read more

Went to this restaurant when it first open and tried the Black Chicken Alfredo. Absolutely awful--tasted like it was out of a frozen bag and it came out cold! Hmmm Decided to give this restaurant a second try tonight! We ordered the cheese bread and the 3 Little Pigs pizza. The cheese bread came out as whole bread sticks that just had melt mozzarella poured over top of them. Bread sticks looked like they were frozen Walmart brand. Definitely not worth the $9! The pizza was awful! Toppings were few and far between. Crust was still a little "doughy" and soggy in the middle for crispy thin crust. I can definitely say that I will not be coming back to this location. Very disappointing!!! read more

After reading the reviews about glitches we adjusted our expectations. But no need! The place was buzzing with activity but we were seated quickly in the dining area and our efficient, super friendly server appeared almost immediately. With the dining area about 2/3 full the noise level was reasonable. The decor is modern and spare in shades of dark greige with some muted orange accents. An Andrew Jackson quote decorates the large wall - a tribute to the the location I guess. TVs are installed up high in the corners. The space is new and clean with a mix of comfy booths around the edges and tables in the middle. Drink orders came out quickly and food orders were taken with perfect timing. We didn't order appetizers but all of our entrees were a win. The jambalaya had nice savory spice, perfectly cooked shrimp and excellent andouille. Very close to authentic New Orleans taste. The fish and chips were lightly battered and served with seasoned fries. Bourbon salmon was well cooked and tasty, with the only disappointments being warm (rather than hot) mashed potatoes and slightly overcooked broccoli. The portions were generous and a good value at around the $13 price point. The wine pour was also generous. Overall really friendly folks, tasty food, good value. A welcome addition to Jackson dining options and definitely worth a try. read more

Service was good but to be honest food was not real great . French onion soup had a little patch of cheese with some croutons in it and real bland . Son says burger was in his words waterlogged and my small piece of salmon was just ok not med rare like ordered . Loaded tots were good though . Surprised reviews are so high on food . Man oh man, Jackson Michigan! My job brought me here back in April of 2011 and it was cold back then too, but no COVID-19 to worry about. Jackson now has waaay more restaurant choices than it did 9 years ago and I don't know if One North was here then but I am so glad that I found them today. I found them on Yelp and what started out as an order for their Michigan salad (Which was great) turned into me adding their bourbon salmon. I almost forgot to take a picture for this post because after my first bite I was ready to inhale that filet. The salmon had a sweetness from the bourbon glaze but also a smokiness from the grill. The mashed potatoes went well with it. I probably should have had broccoli with this but the green beans were necessary. I needed my veggies. I can only imagine what this place was like pre-quarantine. It such a wonderful looking restaurant. The interior was so clean and I'll bet it's the place where everyone comes to. I am definitely coming back for the jambalaya. I believe that it was Chelsea who took my order over the phone and she was so pleasant. Thank you for a great experience from the order to the pickup. Food is more refined and tasty than similar price range restaurants in Jackson are, which are mostly chain restaurants. The whitefish dip was good and unique but I ordered the rice and bean bowl with shredded chicken and the chicken was cold/warm in some places but not hot. Very frustrated to attempt eating there. The minute we entered we were almost reprimanded by the 3 young hostesses that there was no seating available. Also pointed out that we could sit at the bar; however, again there was "no seating there either." Looking around it was so obvious that there was plenty of empty tables. You can make or break an establishment by first impressions. Our impression is that the girls at the entrance are VERY intimidating and a little power went to their heads. In my opinion, the hostesses should offer to help patrons, NOT BOLDLY TURN THEM AWAY. By the way, this has happened not only to us twice, but our friends also! read more

We were there tonight for a birthday party and were given a limited menu. The limited menu had no prices and no kids meal. Thus we were under the assumption that the meals were paid for by the host (since there weren't any prices). we were shocked when we got our bill! not only were the meals not covered, but I ended up paying $25 for a sirloin and wasn't even able to get it cooked the way I wanted (was told when they brought it out I could have medium well or medium rare but not medium as I had ordered). I also had my 10 year old order off the limited menu (adult entree portions) because I thought that we had to since it was all going to the host. she barely ate any of her $18 pasta! furthermore, we covered my moms bill and she ordered a peach margarita. the drink menu said it was $7 but they up charged her (us) for premium liquor and then an extra $1 for the peach flavoring. IT WAS LISTED AS A PEACH MARGARITA!! service was great! the waitresses were lovely but the way the organize a large event was terrible. makes me not want to go back there again! read more

The service was awful, the orders for our table were incorrect, I never got the drink for which I asked, and the manager was one of the rudest, most condescending people I have ever met. Pretty solid menu, larger bar area for games, and overall very clean! Came here while visiting my parents on a Saturday night for a casual bite. I agree with some of the other reviews, looks so similar to Granite City, however it brings a nice place to watch a game or casually grab dinner on this side of Jackson. We agreed the service was good and we all thought the food was worth the price. I really enjoyed the salmon avocado club, the fish was perfectly cooked. We will be back! read more
